It is good if there is a layout or simple sketch. As in many instances; some of us may mis-interpret the "center-of-gravity" of a home wrongly. Just recently, a client was so worried about an "L' shaped layout plan. When I reviewed the layout plan; instead there were some protrusions and missing corner(s) for this home. Honestly, from your picture, and given that your sofa is a distance away, I personally think that there is no threat from the fire-place. It is not like one is sitting next to it. I have heard conflicting points on whether or not to include a garage and deck (or other space one doesn't live in) while placing the Bagua. We have an oddly shaped home with our three seasons room that extends out and garage that is attached. Curious as to input on how to apply the Bagua here?
