  1. Hi, My husband and I have bought land and now need to build a house on it. I know period 8 is ending and period 9 is beginning so it is hard to figure out what direction to face the house to build it. We would be building the home during 2022-2023 and move in the end of 2023. We can face our house any direction between 65-135 degrees. We would like to get the best direction from you. The lot is higher ground in the front and lower ground behind. We were putting a water feature (pool) in the rear of the home. We are West Group couple. Thank you for your help. Deborah

Dear Kelvin, Flying Star can be applied to as large as a plot of land, or as small as an apartment or a bedroom. So where you decide to take the facing direction or main door will determine how the flying star chart influence is for. 1. If you are doing a feng shui evaluation for the entire plot of land at Haig Court, then you take the entrance of the plot of land. 2. If you are doing a feng shui evalution for the entire block, then you take the facing of the entire block. 3. If you are doing a feng shui evalution for your own apartment, then you either take:- 3a. The main door of your apartment especially if lower level (ie less than 10 floors). 3b. The facing fro…

Dear Anon, I have viewed, once, opened, close and open your mail. Seeing whether I have the time to understand even if I have to reply to it. Frankly, I often do not really like mails that show only text e.g. SSW etc.... To be more effective, I prefer a sketch or pictures. As I hope you can understand, I do not want to have additional `white hair' digesting the information. I had just glanced thru your message. Often, high walls are not favourable especially since you live on the ground level. Especially so, if the walls do not have `openings' in between. For example, some wrought iron grilles with a flower bed. This is often better to soften the walls. " And not make you…

Hi, Would like to seek your kind guidance on this matter. Purchased a HDB and it came with a built in altar. (modern type). What can I do with it? The owner will remove 1 glass/crystal statue away. (Not sure is what statue as I did not pay attention to it much) Can I use it as a bookshelf when I move in? Because it doesn't look like an altar at all... Please advice if need to tear down the whole thing. Thank you so much! Have a nice day ahead!

Dear Cecil Lee, I have read your posts about belief in bunk beds, but wanted to share my specific situation and get your advise, not just about bunk beds but in general. I have two daughters - 2 year and 4 year old, used to sleep in their cots so far, but have moved to a bunk bed recently. Not enough space to have separate beds. The 2-year old sleeps at the bottom and the 4 year old on top bunk. This is a traditional bunk bed - same size as top and bottom and exactly on top of each other. Both have head towards East. The bed has a wall on one long side and about 1 feet of space on both head and leg side and open space on the forth long side. There is a wi…

These are the consideration:- 1. Burial date does not depend on any person's "auspicious date(s)". 2. But rather for the Chinese, burial or cremation is always on the "yang" days. Yang days are odd number days. Never YIN days. 3. Thus for example if a person dies on this Friday, then Friday is counted. Thus, the earliest burial day is SUNDAY (three days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday - note Firday is counted as 1 day even if it is late into the night of Friday). 4. Thus Chinese burial (or cremation) is always: Third day, Fifth day, seventh, ninthday. Never on an even day for those in the know: 2nd, fourth, sixth, 8th day.

Dear LB, Here are the key points to consider: 1. The burial site should not be located in an area associated with massacre or other horrific events, such as a battlefield. 2. I am aware of numerous successful businesses that are situated near burial sites, despite the warnings that it is inauspicious to be in proximity to such locations. For instance, Tangs Hotel (now renamed) at the intersection of Scotts and Orchard Road in Singapore was once facing a burial site. It was believed that the land was unfavorable, yet this intersection has now become a highly sought-after tourist destination. 3. In land-scarce Singapore, many government housing estates h…

    1. In my opinion, the process of burial (burial place) and subsequently the procedure between this and before "forced" cremation can affect one's luck. 2. For example, the removal of remains e.g. excavation has to be done properly. Very simple situations include, putting up a tent above the burial site, just before excavation, plus, other rituals are significant. 3. Thus any process done up-to that stage and cremation should be properly done. 4. However, once the cremation has been completed, collection of the urn, arranging for the new site could also do with some "proper procedure". 5. Usually, once cremated, it is less crucial to find the best site since the urn wo…

  18. Dear Francisco, There are two ways to look at it. If you sell things complementary to the needs for the dead, probably you will do quite well. If you don't, and, then you will definately not benefit from it. So if you think your business is affected by it, better move out to a better location. Don't know how else to advise you here. 19. Hi, If I'm looking to lease an office in a high-rise commercial building, how do I determine which way the main entrance of the building should be facing and the main entrance for the suite or if I use the office window line? I don't really see anything online that mentions anything about it. I've been just comparing it to a high-rise apartment, but I'm not sure if that is the right way to do it. Please advise.

Hi Felicia, Many Traditional Feng Shui Masters use the Pillars of Destiny to advise on the type of Company Logo to be used: 1. For a company for example, they look at the type of business. In my country, one local bank has a ancient coin in the middle of their logo and a circular purple background. The coin symbolises the Metal Element and Banking is considered a metal element. Here, what is done is to use Purple = Fire element to `destroy' the coin in the centre. The end result is to produce Wealth. 2. Many also take advantage of their personal element to create Logos for their proprietorship. For example, a weak Wood person actually used a wavy logo in green i.e. Wavy p…

Dear Summer, Under Geomancy, often the following are the key points: 1. Colours for the company logo 1.1 Often, either and/or : the sole proprietor's ba zi is looked at and/or the type of business is looked at. 1.2 For example, Communication is considered as a water element. Thus, one of the colours is "blue". 1.3 However, sometimes, the sole proprietor's or partners ba zi are looked at to look at a suitable colour. 1.4 For example if the person is a weak wood person. The company logo can come in three colours: a. White background b. Company logo has blue / white and green 1.5 Where possible, try to have THREE colours for the company logo (background included) Here, three…

Dear Wasis, 1. In general, Feng Shui analysis of a business or office building is similar to that used for audit of the home. 2. For example, the Flying Star analysis is used to analyse the birth chart of the office. 3. Shapes and Form Feng Shui is also used in an office environment. 4. One's Personal Gua or (Ba Zhi) is also used to match the person to their office. Warmest Regards, Cecil Regards, Wasis
