    1. Again, there is no right or wrong answers. 2. In my opinion, looking at your specific description of a CONSULTANT in so many fields: mgmt, marketing, websites, social media; 3. I tend to strongly FEEL that your role as a consultant in this scheme of things is more closely related to the WOOD element. 4. Since you mentioned FIRE, I only see one job function associated with it: marketing. 5. Thus, based on your short description; I would say your CORE element has to be WOOD element. 4. 1. Frankly, it is common sense. 2. But this cow sense geomancer has to add these sentences... 2.1. As many of us know; in the English language: 2.2. We know what is the difference between a stove and an oven. How? 2.3. One cow sense way to differentiate the two is: 2.3.1 In the English vocab; we add an "a" in-front of stove. While since an oven starts with an "o" when we make a sentence out of "oven" we have to add "an" in-front of the word "oven" Right? 3. And since stove starts with S ; while oven starts with O: they are not the same rite? Got it? Get it? 4. Common sense says that the proper way to describe a microwave is not just microwave but mircowave OVEN. 5. So ar…

Hi:-) My brother, his fiancee and I will be moving into a new HDB apartment soon. Our unit is a corridor unit and it faces east. However, my bedroom door faces the main door and the windows in my bedroom faces in main door also. The bedroom is virtually quite empty with only a bed and two cupboards. I should also point out that as you look out of my room window, it is West and there are hills in that direction also. I understand that it isn't good to have the main door facing the bedroom door, but that cannot be helped. There is no way to do a renovation as we are renting the place and it is quite difficult to put a piece of furniture between the main door and the bedroom…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Is there any particular direction that the Kuan Yin altar must face? How about facing the main entrance ofa house? Is it OK? Or is it better to face the living room windows? Generally, any alter should follow the following rules:- 1. The altar should not face the main door entrance. This is like employing the god as a security guard for the house. 2. Try if possible not to let the altar face the dining table as the god will be looking at the food while you eat. 3. Try not to have the toilet located directly behind the wall that you place the altar. 4. The altar should not face into the bedroom. Generally, it is best to place the altar lo…

Dear Astrid, Thank you for your sketch. I have a better picture now. 1. It is preferred to `close' the toilet door when not in use. 2. From the layout plan, it seems that a partition cannot be errected as it may make the passage narrow. 3. For a mirror, one may have to becareful - as we did not look at the sector; and if under Flying Star, it is an inauspicious sector; one may inadvertently bounce back twice the bad luck. Thus, if you want to place a mirror, here, you can still do so; but you may have to monitor for the next three months.. on this. Warmest Regards, Cecil A warm welcome to the forum. 8. Csar Ritz (born 1850 to 1918) was a famous founder of several hotels. Notably, The Hotel Ritz in Paris. In short, there was a hygiene scare when the hotel opened. During those days the hotel has valvet wall paper and heavy drape curtains and shared toilets. WhenRitz tookcharge of the hotel; he made sure thateach hotel room hasit's own toilet. (At that time, most homes only have a shared toilet). He made sure that hygiene was a top priority and hemake sure that the walls ofeach room were white-washed and atthe same time; he got brass beds installed in each of the hotel room. I just can't see the logic of this....so wanted to seek your opinion. Thanks Frankly, whether or not a person can win lottery determines on luck. Individually, each person have certain amount of luck. Whether or not one will win depends on who's luck is best among the people who buy the 4D/Toto. Which is why it is so hard for most people to even touch a small prize. And why most of the time gambling isn't a guaranteed way to make money. In fact, you are more likely to lose the money you gamble …

Dear Carol, Please see my reply below:- Thanks for bring up this interesting subject. Let me elaborate about Yin. Yin refers to softer materials e.g. "sof"t wood, light colours. "Soft" wood are e.g. pine even teak but not laminated wood decor. For colours, the use of light colours. Flooring made of wood pieces will enhance the yin in a room. This is why you notice that most bedrooms use parquet (wooden flooring) to enhance yin ... state of rest. Yang refers to `hard' materials e.g. glass table, metallic objects/table and even plastic and laminates on wood. Colours are vibrant e.g. bright colors. Flooring made of cold slabs of e.g. marble, homogenous tiles and other c…

In my opinion, this is very minor or non-issue. Perhaps, some people may have the following "concerns":- 1. Symbolism Kitchen is where there are knifes, sharp objects and fire element. And maybe your friend feels uncomfortable with placing the family photos, because of these reasons. 2. Perhaps some feel that say using a magnet is not "permanent" and thus may affect "permanent" relationships. 3. Otherwise, if you check out this forum, this question has never surfaced in the last more than 10 or more years of this forum! 4. It is akin to some ridiculous people who say that one should not place shoes or shoe cabinet outside the main entrance area! In my country, rich …

  15. Dear K T, You should try to re-access the paid online report if you had not done so. The latest version with the Executive Summary will make that period more clearly as it will try to explain potential issues you might encounter especially if clashes / harms / punishment are found. Generally, you need to know that:- 1. Clashes Clashes are the worst impact on a chart. Depending on whether there are heavenly stem such as Main Funds (Health), Wealth (Financial)or so, it might usually mean health or wealth impact. Any clash especially if found with the Day, Month & Year are considered major clashes. 2. Harms These are sort of like obstacles which you have to overco…

  16. Dear Jody, Ideally your roof should first be proportionate (both front and back) rather then slope one side. Especially if there is `water' closeby in Front, this is symbolic of water (wealth) flowing away from your house into the water. ^ / \ The symbol of a `normal' roof, if you look at the side profile looks lik an UP arrow | | which signifies moving upwards in career, wealth etc... Frankly, nothing much can be done to enhance a flat room. Although some have added a covered chimney in the shape of a roof with a `roof ' to represent the " UP arrow " as shown above. With the front door in a straight line with the backdoor, the best solution is to place a decorative…

Hi, Please read below:- For example of the material of the wind chime is metal, and there is 5 rods, this means that the wind chime is a earth-metal wind chime. Generally, 2,3,4,5 are associated very closely with the inauspicious stars, and if you hang this in location which has a star 2,3,4,5 you are likely to trigger the influence of these stars thus causing bad influences. It is not so much that solid wind chime or even that say star 5 wind chime is not useful. You have to be careful as to where you are putting it. If place correctly, the element influence which you are looking for will remove the inauspicious influence based on the element composition of the …

Dear Chrissy, Actually the Chinese 7th month has already started (25th July 2006). This year because of the intercalarymonth falling on 7th lunar month, there is an extra 7th month. Therefore, this year, the Chinese 7th month lasts until 21 September 2006. Traditionally, this is more of a Chinese custom of not moving-in during the Chinese 7th month. However, previously, when information flow is not as prevalent or as international as today, many non-Chinese still continue to move-in during (the Chinese 7th month). Thus, if you are not a Chinese nor do not stay in Asia, then, for practical reasons, you can still move-in during "our - Chinese" 7th month. As not all …

Dear Anon, Thanks for seeking clarifications on this. Actually, what I was trying to imply has more to do with the Chinese custom known as "ancestor worship". Let me elaborate: Often, when a loved one passed away; especially a parent; a filial eldest son would often have the photo portait blessed with a priest. Some priests even paint over the eyes of this portait for the dead. The above is more for info. It may or may not happen. But, given this idea, it is best not to place this portrait/ancestor tablet facing the main door or dining table or have the back on the same wall as the toilet. Or face into the bedroom. For other pictures; or pictures of rememberance, it is no…

As mentioned earlier; Three coins can either be symbolically hung or even placed "into the floor". This has more to do with symbolism. As three coins represents metal destroy wood to? create wealth. Thus, if one steps on the three coins; one is symbolically stepping on wealth. Three coins are meant or symbolic of "enhancement" vs 6 coins or 7 coins used traditionally as a cure. The difference between them and modern commercial products are:- 1.1. One characteristic of a modern commercial product is usually a geomancer or a seller would or might say: You have to buy this. Where? Buy from me or can only work if bought from me. And often, these are highly marked up and costs…

Dear Emily, Actually, it has more to do with "visual" sight or appearance than Feng Shui. For example, we can draw a parallel to the dining table. In Feng Shui, it is often mentioned by practitioners (including myself) avoid placing the dinning table facing the main door. The rationale is that while some of us are very tidy, but for practical reasons, for a family, we have the father, mother and children; often, the family members come back at different times. And for practical reasons, often, food is left on the table for the last person to eat. And if one often sees a dining table, it is usually (for many people) to have articles / food etc.. placed on it. What is …

I also have stairs facing the front door and have tried a remedy. I put an end table at the bottom of the stairs, against the wall.It has a colorful arrangement of silk flowers on it. Opposite this wall is a face level mirror which holds a smaller arrangement of flowers. I think it is working because people who come in have not even noticed the stairs when I've mentioned them shortly thereafter. Does this sound sufficient, Cecil? Thx.
