Dear Wasis, For info, there may be deviations in interpretation by many practitioners on this issue: 1. Fire element? Some FS practitioners may view it as a Fire element: 1.1. Some consider, electricity i.e. using the PC (chiefly thru electricity or circuit boards i.e. memory, cpu and hardware as Fire element. Where fire = electricity. 1.2 If the business is related to software production, and thru the end result the `package': A marketing or sales personnel, who markets the product can be considered under the Fire element. Or hopefully under the Fire element (with the hope) that the product can be successful i.e. `fiery' sales or preference for activity. 2. Water element…

Dear Guanawan, Careers now-a-days are hard to determine exactly what element they belong to, due to multiple skills involved. Last time, a butcher is a butcher. But generally, for fire element here are just a few list of careers/business and it's relationship to five element based on our Five element section in the Applied Feng Shui ebook. " Chemical process, Fashion, Housewife, Law (prosecution), Livestock, Marketing (sales), Oil, Public Relations, Sales " Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, If you want to find out more on how `Feng Shui' logos are created, please check out this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/on/logos.htm In short, Feng Shui logos are based on your Pillars of Destiny element. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Tuesday, July 06, 1999 2:44 PM Subject: Business logo Actually, all shapes are good shapes, it depends more on who the logo is designed for. Say for a company the element of the person running the company is water, then their wealth is fire, thus sharp shaped objects such as triangle is good shape for it. So for business logo, it is a…

Generally, the logo is OK. Except for the following advice:- It would be good if the big star does not have a "pointed arrow" aimed at the letter N. The pointed star should (if possible) be raised slightly higher. Otherwise, it looks OK to me.

  6. Dear Anon, In my opinion, I find it quite difficult to answer such a question because there are quite alot of reasons or significance for someone to come up with a logo. For example, to me, feather pen and ink pot reminds me of a scholarly person or a shop dealing in e.g. stationery such as a book store or gift shop. There will always be millions of logo designs and it is up to the individual to see and try to guess what they think it is like. More importantly, an easier method is for one to find out their element, better still the strength of their element and using the Five Elements concept i.e. Productive and Destructive sequence to come up with their logo. For example…

Dear Koon Hee, Generally for main door you follow these rules:- 1. For entire buildling, you take the frontage of the buidling. 2. Fora particular shop/office within the building, you should take the main entrance where you and your client will enter in and out of the office. 3. Taking the frontage or office window is another way, but that will be taking the frontage of the office. Especially for offices which do not really need to have customers entering in and out of the house. From our experience, it is better to take the main door direction from the centerpoint of the office. Reason for this is because this way the sector where the main entrance fall under will b…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. iFeng-Shui is not a "cure-all" or "everything is iFung-Sway" sort of thing. 2. iName selection only iApplies if one wants to iSelect a iMandarin iName. And there are iTraditional iMethods of doing so; 2.1. iMainly, the name should yield good "ratings" under the iFive-Elements iConcept and equally have a real good meaning or good IPhonetic iSound (if iPossible). 3. There is no precedence when selecting a iName other than a iMandarin (iChinese iName). 4. Thus even if you try to select a name like sayiWear ; one day.. when iApple goes into the iClothing iBusiness; they will "take away" that iName. 5. Thus if you are selecting an iEn…

Dear Eve, Apologise for the delay. There are many ways to look at this. I am looking at it based on harmony of the people and type of business selected. Actually, this combination of element is ok. 1. Wood Strengthen fire fire will also exhaust some wood Wood is weaken so unable to destroy Earth. 2. Fire gains strengths from Wood, which then provide Earth with more resources strengthen you (weak earth). Normally, when there is a destruction and a production, often the production sequence takes place first. Thus, the destruction process is weaken. Thus, that is the main reason why normally for a Strong Earth, wood is not the best solution, but instead Metal will be mo…

Dear Robyn, Yes, the action to be taken, seems reasonable. So long as the pointed edges does not create a sha qi towards the main door, this is good i.e. cut it or "flatten it". There is no issue if it looks like a "crown" - with spikes above. As this can become a sha qi to neighbouring buildings. For the higher floors, just be careful to avoid it being seen inside the premises. For example, if one works inside the same building, the pointed spikes should not be seen inside the work area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  15. Dear Master Lee My Kua Nbr is 1. My office door facing inside out is " East " Base on my Kua Nbr, the lucky directions are Sheng Chi (SE), Nien Yen (S), Tien Yi(E) and Fu Wei (N). I am a little confuse -When we says Sheng Chi location is always at the front of the house /office - do we refer to the living hall or the entrance of the house/office or should be base on the 8 mansions layout. Is it correct to use the 8 mansions formula base on the total layout of the unit and locate the SE facing to put the auspicious items or sub divide the room…

  16. Dear Thanh, I personally feel that it would be a good idea on your part to include a small water fountain in your facial room. This is because this is a place of business and I personally find the `soothing sound' of water flowing...more for relaxing and rest.. Unlike in a bedroom where it should not be there. Hi Anon, Yes, however, Gua is the proper Chinese (rather than Kua which is based on Cantonese Dialect, just like Qi = C'hi) So how can Gua 9 numbers be equal to represent 8 Trigrams? There is no way so that is why the Gua Number itself does not yet equal to the 8 Trigram. Especially not the Gua number 5. Thus, the number 5 is often converted to represent one of the other two Trigram depending on Male or Female. Since the Eight Trigram is used or part of the Compass School (ie quite related to the Flying Stars) except that the center sector is empty. Thus, We relate the Trigam exactly as how it would link to the Flying Star. Eight House and Flying Star are part of …

Dear David, I believe, in Singapore and everywhere else, needless to say, usually "better" Feng Shui homes or apartments (especially in choice) locations often common a higher premium than others. Thus, this is why for most condos, units facing "good views" such as the water feature (pool) etc often can command a higher price than say a unit next to, facing the dustbin area etc... Although Feng Shui is a major consideration, often when it comes to resale apartments, the usual "bad comments" are: 1. This is a "west" facing home or apartment - - quite hot 2. Fire station Yes, not so much of Feng Shui, but imagine the "noise" of the sirens ringing or the station activa…

Dear Anon, The best bet is always to (first) try and find a house that has relatively good external and internal shapes and forms. After this, try to see if the house can fit the breadwinner. Frankly, how I wish I can give you a one line reply but (unfortunately) this is impossible. More importantly try to realislistically understand and take notes on these following schools: 1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; (VERY IMPT) 2. Ba Zi (Pillars) 3. Compass Schools: 3.1 Eight House (VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND APPLY) 3.2 Flying Star (NICE TO KNOW) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Nguyen, 1. Usually, there is no issue if this drain is covered and does not lead directly into any of the bedrooms or pass thru beneath bedrooms. 2. There are many other considerations - when purchasing a home. 3. Ideally, if you can, try to avoid it if the sewer is pretty obvious and if stench or smell comes out of it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Is there any difference buying a period 7 house and period 8 house? I feel that as long as we get a suitable house facing south, that would suffice. Would appreciate your early reply. 24. Hello! Please Please Please advise. We would like to purchase our dream home however, the house is facing NorthEast which is the worst direction that leads to disaster and misfortune this year. The house is also a flag lot, and I've read that this would bring bad luck to a marriage. Is there anything we can do to fix this so we can buy the house and have a good year without misfortune? If we can't live in it this year, can we still purchase, renovate, and move in next year? THANK YOU!

Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, we should often look at the "bigger" picture of things. A bed frame can be made of wood or metal; often this does not really matter. In fact, it does not really matter if the bed frame is made of different types of wood - so long as they can "last" or worth the amount it is being paid for. Warmest Regards, Cecil
