Please refer to the illustration taken from http://lovesigns.net Every six years, one would have met the worst pairing. Thus the animal sign opposite the animal sign is considered the worst pairing. Therefore, the rat's worst pairing is the horse. While the pig's worst nightmare is suppose to be the snake.

In reference to my previous comments, I would like to pose an intriguing question regarding the concepts of fame and recognition. What implications arise for individuals who do not own a home? One might argue that residing in a small room could still allow for the enhancement of these factors. However, what if someone lacks a home entirely? Does this mean they are destined to miss out on fame, travel, and other opportunities? Traditional Feng Shui, in its original context, examines broader landscapes, such as major cities like Canton or even entire regions like Singapore, before narrowing its focus to specific sites and buildings. Unfortunately, many F…

A lot of things has happened this two months which first started with the dog becoming sick (and is still sick) when he was previously healthy, then I became very ill from Shingles. Then our TV is not working suddenly and today, my husband and daughter fell quite badly during their usually cycling. Is this bad feng shui or pure coincidence? How can I identify which area went wrong.

I am currently in my first trimester, but in the midst of planning to do an extension to the back portion of my house. This is needed as soon as possible to make space for my confinement and space for my second baby. How do I navigate around this to ensure my pregnancy and birth goes smoothly while going ahead with this extension?

Dear Cecil, Thank you for having taken the time to answer my question. I believe that my kitchen design complies with "Commonsense FS" i.e. stove is not directly next to water or fridge nor infront. There is no window near stove ... no wind or cold air ... etc... I am worried however about the placement of the stove... which school of FS should be correct? should I place it NE/SE so it faces our bad sectors or should it be on E or N wall which are favourable directions for us? Anyway the kitchen has been ordered for NE/SE as it is a special corner unit (Had to have it designed especially!) Really I looked at it also from a decorative point of view so as to make it look ni…

Dear Carrie, 1. Ideally, a staircase ought to feature a turning or landing. If I am not mistaken, I observed a straight staircase in one of the layout plans shared in "Audit for Financial/Hardship Cases Only). 2. Should there be a landing on the staircase, some Feng Shui Masters recommend placing a mirror at the landing to deflect Qi upwards. This is optional and not mandatory. 3. Ideally, the stairs should not be positioned at the center of the house. If it is unavoidable, consider placing potted plants at ground level on each side of the stairway. If the stairs are attached to one wall, a plant can be positioned on one side. This is also not obligatory, a…

Dear David, David Sim wrote: Hi My master bedroom lies in my disaster line. Two toilets sit between my master bedroom and the centre point. Do the toilets negate the bad influence of the disaster line? Generally, your individual eight house (4 good or 4 bad) directions mainly helps to determine whether a house or bedroom sector or facing direction is favourable for you or not. So it helps you determine whether a sector is good for you to use or not. So if the bedroom falls in your disaster sector it means that that room isn't the most suitable room for you to make use. The most suitable house would be one that most of the good sectors of the room would fall in the suit…

Dear Anon, Please refer to (C) Geomancy.net's Flying Star report input template. Since your house is located at 160 degrees, then select 165 degrees since your house is considered as between the compass direction 157.5 degrees to 172.4 degrees. Your main door is located at the south. If one looks carefully at the attached template, one will find that each sector is based on 15 degrees each. For example North 1 is at 345 degrees, North 2 is at 0 degrees etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jazz, Jazz jazz wrote: with regars to checking own zi wei dou shu, would like to check how much difference it will make if time of birth is wrong, eg bet 1am and 1pm? In ba zi, time of birth may affect some of the character analysis and overall five element percentage. But in general, only a few hours really differ from having only the day of birth analysed. Unless element strength is different (ie weak water changed to strong water), there will no be too great a difference. Often, our advise is not sure, take an analysis without the hour of birth as the foundation analysis. In Zi Wei Dou Shu (Chinese Astrology/Horoscope), it is also quite similiar, the likelyhood…

Dear Anon, This link has a short write up of the origins of the Japanese Cat:- http://www.bekkoame.or.jp/~ys-trade/CAT.HTM Source and credit: (The above site) The Origin of Happy Cat(Fortune cat) The origin of the Happy cat (fortune cat) dates back to the end part of 1780's in Edo(Tokyo). The happy cats have been considered to beckon and welcome customers to the shops by rising its hand (Please note, in Japan, the gesture such as happy cats do means beckoning somebody forward.) and thanks to this, shop, especially restaurant, must do a goods business with so many customers. On the other hand, at the firm village, happy cat was sometimes placed at farmers house as a guard…

Dear Maria, From the perspective of the Flying Star Compass School, it is advisable to identify the Water Star. For instance, during Period 7, the position of water wealth corresponds to the Water Star = #7. Additionally, during Period 7, it is common to hear references to "double 7's". If you have reviewed some of the discussions in this forum, spanning from several years ago to last year, you will find that this is the optimal location for activating the water star. In Period 8, make an effort to determine the location of the water star #8. If one has even a slight understanding of what I am "referring" to, it is advisable not to inquire about "…

Hi Cecil, I forgot to mention in the previous email that the the ceiling of the entire bedroom is a sloping (reversed V-shape) ceiling. Someone suggested that hanging a crystal to the aircon vent is one of the fixes? Will that work? Also, would a poster bed with 4 pillars be an alternative fix (the cloth on the pillars block the cold air from blowing directly to the head)?? Please help! Many thanks!!

These are some considerations:- 1. You wrote: Is it true? 1.1 Yes, if you are strictly applying the Gua or Eight House; 1.2 It can be classified into: 1.3 The direction / Location significance / Status (good or bad) and even suitable for what purpose (if any). 2. You also wrote: "Kindly advise asap as we are going to view this coming Sunday...." 4.1 It is good to remind ourselves that if we do have a time constraint; spare a thought for others. Part II: 20-Year Reigning Period: 8 (2004-2023) Block direction: S3 (195) Compass direction: 187.5 to 202.4 For units along 20, 19, 24, 23 and 28 and 27 and should it qualify for the above, can also be equally auspicious. Since, under Period 8, where these homes will be Period 8 homes: under this Flying star Feng shui, S3: mountain star is = #8 water star = #8 with base = 3 Implication: [8] & [8] - Prosperity, good wealth. Therefore, considered very auspicious under Period 8. For a #8 with #8 and base 3, facing the water position, do allow for clear space e.g. such as the balcony facing virtual water (clear space). For units that qualify under this area, DO not b…

Hi Cecil, Thank you so much for your FS considerations on water items. I've bought a small water fountain because I just love having one in my living area. The sound of flowing water in the fountain gives me a relaxing feeling and somehow a sense of invigorating energy in the mind. In terms of personal strength, I'm a strong earth person. My wife is a weak water person. I know that earth clashes with water. Does it mean the presence of a water fountain may have some negative affects for a strong earth person like myself and somehow affect my business decision making? I believe that water in FS is an extremely important issue. Therefore I'm reluctant to use it without some…

A Pair of Keiloon or Fu Temple Dogs Hi, Thank you, Glyn, for sending me a private email to inform me that the Keiloon resembles a Fu Fu Dog. Earlier this morning, prior to heading to work, I passed by the memorial dedicated to Lim Bo Seng, a renowned World War II hero from Singapore. The memorial featured the Keiloon positioned in various `compass' directions, serving as guardians. I have observed a similar Keiloon at my grandfather's grave, where it stands guard on both sides. The Keiloon figurine is not associated with Feng Shui but is more aligned with Chinese customs. In my view, it would be more appropriate for this `creature' to …

Dear Master Lee, Thank you so much for your detail explanation. Robert Lee wrote: You see in our website when we define a house facing East means that main door (for 2nd-7th level) orliving room (8th and up) is actually facing East. I have yet to find out from your website with regards to main door (2nd-7th level) or Living Room (8th and up). i will go thru in details later, just to confirm if the flat i am buying is at 8th level and up, i should be looking at the living room facing but not the main door facing? Hope to hear from you soon and have a nice day.

Dear Carol I do come across certain types of houses: 1. Broadly speaking, this house can be described as "entrapped." 2. The extent to which it is considered entrapped depends on several factors: 2.1 As you pointed out, it is at the same level as the other houses. 2.2 The neighboring houses are of similar height, and there are no dominant structures nearby, such as taller houses. 3. It is crucial to examine the frontage of all houses within or adjacent to this "entrapped" house. 3.1 For instance, if the house's frontage is aligned with the front house, which has a similar orientation and is approximately at the same level, the front house will benef…

Dear Anon, 1. If you have the time, please go thru this resource:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm 2. If one is applying Compass School of Feng Shui, if one looks a it carefully, for example if you house or apartment or many others that belong to Period 7 (1984 to 2003), most of such houses / apartments has bad influence at the East and South. Given this very general idea/information, most of the time, even if we take the door direction `wrongly' - this is very subjective: all the time the base # number plus the yearly and monthly base # will remain the same. The only thing that change is the #mountain #water. 3. Overall, and very generally, mo…
