Dear Cecil, Thank you so very much for your reply to my question about the beams. If I choose to use the bamboo flute remedy, should the flutes be attached lenghtwise or across the beams? (Does it matter?) And should I use a red cord on the flutes? How many flutes per beam? I have heard two. I so appreciate your time in responding to my concerns. Thank you, Sheila

Hi, Yes. It is preferred that the bedroom door not to be slanted as this is considered inauspicous for the couple. It should be like normal doors. As for the smaller door; the only way is to use a proper Feng Shui ruler, could measure it to see whether the length and breath are auspicious. Warmest Regards, Cecil

I also have stairs facing the front door and have tried a remedy. I put an end table at the bottom of the stairs, against the wall.It has a colorful arrangement of silk flowers on it. Opposite this wall is a face level mirror which holds a smaller arrangement of flowers. I think it is working because people who come in have not even noticed the stairs when I've mentioned them shortly thereafter. Does this sound sufficient, Cecil? Thx.

Dear Elizabeth, In a classroom, priority should be given to the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui: 1. Usually a classroom is rectangular in shape. 2. Normally one side of the classroom has windows. The opposite side usually are the entry and exit points. 3. If the classrooms are airconditioned and there are blinds at the windows, it would still be best to arrange the tables tangent to the windows so as to avoid glare. If we use the above `formula', there is really not much we can change the placings of the tables (other than to avoid glare). The traditional placement of tables in uniform rows and columns is still the preferred method. As a teacher, one would have to sit…

Dear Joe, Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Tuesday, August 17, 1999 8:28 AM Subject: west house Eight House is limited as it only takes the year of your birth, this means that many people will have the same type of kua as you. Thus, it is only able to give you a general reading of your 4 good and 4 bad directions. It does not take into account the stars in your home. Say for example, if the stars in your bedroom could have formed a good combination which overrules your Eight House. So far its uses is only generally to find a suitable home. This means it is best to find a home with the main door that falls in any of the 4 …

Dear Cecil, Since the wall appears to "cut off" the foot of the bed, thereby "cutting off" my toes, then what can I do? There's no other place for the bed. Any suggestions are appreciated. --Joe

I can recommend a book for those interested in learning which foods are yin or yang, with an analysis of the 5 elements. "Between Heaven and Earth," by Harriet Beinfield (not sure of the spelling of author's last name). This book may not be available outside the US, however. Hope this helps. --Joe

Dear Anon, As Robert has mentioned, Chinese Lunar New Year does not always fall on the 4th or the 5th. One good way to find out the dates is to go to this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/90-2010.htm Under the above URL, you can check the `Start' date of the Chinese Lunar New Year from 1990 to the year 2011. You will see that it does not always fall on 4th or 5th. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Even in western numerology 8 is considered a money number, although perhaps too many 8's might indicate greed and domination. 5 is also considered an opportunity number in western numerology. Just thought you might be interested J.D. Listmanager wrote:

There is a main door that's in the center of the front of the building, and a back door in the same location at the back. {1st floor of building} --- (main door) (door2)| |(door1) --- (stairs to 2nd floor) ___________________________ (wall) --- (back stairs) (back door2)| |(back door1) --- (back door of building) My apartment door(s) would be directly above door1 on the 2nd floor.

Dear Gina, At the same time when you wrote this, we were in fact looking for another new house for my elder brother. Because of the speed in which `good' units were purchased and that he had missed an earlier opportunity; Robert decided to be one step ahead and developed a comprehensive computerised module especially not only to find a good but rather an `excellent' house i.e. with Double 7s at the front door. Reference: Finding a House module is at http://www.geomancy-online.com Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil, Thank you for your kind reply. Is Pillar of Destiny the same as Zi Wei Tou Shu? What is the duration like for a normal house audit and what does it cover, meaning eg. fengshui cure, individual member, luck, what to wear, avoid, career choice ....etc. Will there also be follow up after that ie. to consult you on certain problems? Are the cures expensive as understand sometime need to renovate the place? Dear Cecil, thank you for your response. I do feel that the natural front ('frontage?) of my house is toward the East. I have a panorama view here over the sea and a door that leads out to the balcony. Every morning the sun rises directly to fill our whole house with light. The land in front of this door also slants down and toward a garden and finally the beach. However, I know it won't work to use this door as a main door, as it would mean walking around the house every time we want to exit and enter. However, when inside, I do basically feel that East is the front. Is it therefore, as you mentioned - possible to consider this the front of the house when attempting to d…

Hi Cecil and Jacqueline Maybe the lady in question has inauspicious Flying stars in her bedroom thus rendering pregnancy difficult. Mountain stars # 7 and #9 I understand are female stars, maybe this could help. Furthermore, Mountain Stars #1 and #2 can cause miscarriage etc. A client of mine had a miscarriage a few months ago, bought a new house, the #9 star was in her bedroom and she became pregnant fairly quickly actually. Just a thought....... Cheers Glyn

Dear Jim, As mentioned in the previous message to another user. Selling a House does not really fall under Feng Shui. At best what you should do is keep the house bright and pleasing to look at and get a good real estate agent to help you advertise your home. Other than that, there is very little you can do personally to help the sales except maybe to increase your personal luck by enhancing yourself with favourable elements. This way you might be able to increase your chance of getting a suitable buyer. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Further to my earlier reply: It is `acceptable' for flowers to be placed in the bedroom especially for those who are `recuperating' from an illness. This is inline with the common practise of giving flowers to those who are staying in a hospital bed especially after an operation. Hospitals are `more yin' environment especially the hospital bedrooms. Introducing some `Yang' into the rooms such as flowers will certainly brighten it. This can be introduced to a bedroom especially for those who are recovering e.g. from an operation or illness. This is more a common practise rather than `shoulder' it on Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ivy, Thanks for your comments and your personal experience on the use of the Flying Star theory. As for the Flying Star course, I am still currently working on it and refining it. My believe is not to `rush' and put up a course but rather, the quality that matters. I will e-mail you at your address given once the course materials is launched. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear kaushal, Why don't you take the feng shui course offered by the cecil and robert lee right here on internet and trust me it is a good course and if you have doubts or you don't understand something you can always get answers from them personally. And if you find somebody in your city make sure they teach traditional feng shui and not the fast food feng shui called black hat tibetan feng shui since BTB is not real feng shui and will cause more harm than good. Good luck!

Dear Cecil , I'm first time using onelist service. I happens to see your web site over the internet. Currently I'm rather interested into Feng Shui. and has been reading books about it. I have some queries here for your advise.. If the family members comprises of both West & East group (understand that direction that are good for West group will be very bad to East group), does that mean that the family will always be in conflict ? And how do you orient the house furniture and fixtures if they have to stay together? Thanks & Warmest Regards, Chris ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
