Dear Rachel, Rachel Rachel wrote: Thanks for the reply Master Lee. I am not very sure about the way to find out the 8 mansions direction for the bedrooms in my house. Could you tell me how to go about finding out the 8 mansions direction for the 2 bedrooms in my house, or can you direct me to an online resource for doing so? Simply find out where is the center of the house and North direction. Then with the eight house chart, simply superimpose the chart where the North direction is to the home. The sectors where the home falls under the Eight House will be the influence suitability of that sector for that person. This resource should be able to guide you on it:- URL: h…

Dear Anon, The advise is to avoid placing it totally inside the home. The symbol should not be hung inside the house but rather, it can be hung outside the door. It should best to be avoided placing at the centre of the house. Unless of course, you want to turn the house into a `temple'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Aaron, Aaron Ng wrote: I will be getting the keys to my new flat directly from HDB next week. I was reading the door opening procedure from this link: http://www.geomancy.net/consultation/consult-home/gettingkeys.pdf Hope my reply isn't too late. As we had a very busy period, so much so that didn't really see your post until today. Aaron Ng wrote: Since I'm getting the keys from HDB office, there's no facilitator. Is there another way to do the procedure? Also, because it's a completely new flat, there's no stove yet. Do I wait for renovation to complete before I carry out this procedure? 1. Frankly, this kind of layout is fairly common, nowadays. 2. One advantage is that there will not be a direct path between the main entrance towards a balcony or a window. 3. The main consideration for this type of layout plan are: 3.1 Never place a hanging water feature on the wall. 3.2 Avoid having a large piece or any mirror on this wall. 3.3 Avoid placing any posters within a glass frame. If glass frame is used, use the matt type or non reflective type.

Dear Sir, With news of NV Residences to be launch next month, next to the existing Livia Property, would like to seek advise on the feng shui impact of NV Residence on Livia (especially stacks which are adjacent to the NV Residence). The shape of NV Residence plot is shaped like an hour glass (?), what does this mean in feng shui? Thank you

Dear Paris, Parc Oasis Site Plan 1. In my opinion, if the price is right, it may be considered. 2. From a Feng Shui point of view, these are "point" block units and relatively safe design. Majority of the units also has its main door coming into a "display" wall area - and not directly facing the window area. 3. Of course, the most attractive reason is due to it's close proxmity to the MRT (walking distance). And it is at the cross-road towards the start of PIE from Jurong Town Hall / and convenience to the business park as well as close proximity to IMM. A more popular or direct route would be to the ever busy or one of the busiest round-…

1. Frankly, it is difficult to visualise where the facing direction (may / could) be... 2. However, as a "rule-of-thumb" or "rule-of-law" or "rule-of-something"..... "IT DEPENDS!" 3. Usually; for macro Flying Star analysis; it is often the facing direction of the Block rather than each of the individual stack(s) assuming that the stucks are facing all sorts of directions. 4. Thus if a Geomancer has been tasked to analyse the entire site to recommend say external features such as a water position e.g. location of fountain(s); waterfalls and swimming pool; then he looks at the MACRO level e.g. the entire BLOCK or development. 5. I suspect that if you are only interested in …

Dear Elizabeth, If the main door has two panels, you can open the side furthest away from the stairs. Placing a half door at the foot of the stairs can be done but not sure if there are any safety concerns i.e. making the stairway dark. One alternative is to place a mirror at the staircase landing (when the stair case `turns'). Dear Linda, What you had mentioned is correct. Although the picture is of your engagement, my advise is not to hang it facing your desk as it is inauspicous to place a picture of a Catheral facing you. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager

Dear Adeline / All, 1. Coming to the question of the toilet. 2. For those who are aware of the Chinese tradition, in the past, Chinese homes (landed property) do not have a toilet inside their home. Toilets are always away from the home. 3. Frankly, and logically, for an apartment or flat, there is not much one can do to remove the toilet from the centrepoint of a home. As we all know the plumbing is fixed. And it moves down from one level to the other. 4. This is considered ONE leak. And more often, where possible, there should be or to avoid if possible, MORE leaks. One leak can often be negated by other positive qi. But, if a home has more than 1 usually 2 or 3 major …

Dear Wee Wei, Centrepoint Developement's Cote D'azur is just TOP, also. In all condo developments, there are always good Feng Shui units and not so favourable ones... For Lakeholmz, it was quite active last week with 4 units sold. In all developments, it is always the "first-mover" advantage that is the best! (book first! -- during early launch) to get choice units. Since the MRT track runs parallel to Lakeholmz, units next to it would have "penetrating" (irritating) sound throughout the operating hours of it. In addition, try to avoid units that have walls that soak directly the afternoon sun. Frankly, sometimes if we realise, an entire block /unit is often left u…

Dear Jez, It is difficult to deduce that your luck has changed because you are away from home and staying at your friends place that may have resulted in `losing' some money. This is because there are a few Feng Shui or Feng Shui related tools that need to be `analysed' in relation to yourself. This can be quite complex as it may involve:- 1. On certain days, our `luck' changes based on your personal main element and its strength (Pillars of Destiny) 2. Your friend's house ch'i influence on you. 3. Other factors e.g. Casion's payout rate in relation to winnings (is usually weighed against the player) In addition to the above, there can be more variables that can add to th…

1.It is always best to beclear. 2. Under Flying Star Feng Shui,it is about compass directions. 3. For example, maybe to you; you are clear about the"right" side. 4. To me,I would consider the median point of the home and to the right side can be vast: NE,East and SE. 5. While the left side of North can have NW, West and SW. 6. It is preferred not to have the kitche at NW: if you do call this the LEFT side. 7. With such a hazy term call RIGHT side (or even LEFT) side... it's anyone's guess. 8. Even for a trapezoid shaped home, make sure that the top-view profile of the home is as rectangular as possible.

Hi Felicia, Many Traditional Feng Shui Masters use the Pillars of Destiny to advise on the type of Company Logo to be used: 1. For a company for example, they look at the type of business. In my country, one local bank has a ancient coin in the middle of their logo and a circular purple background. The coin symbolises the Metal Element and Banking is considered a metal element. Here, what is done is to use Purple = Fire element to `destroy' the coin in the centre. The end result is to produce Wealth. 2. Many also take advantage of their personal element to create Logos for their proprietorship. For example, a weak Wood person actually used a wavy logo in green i.e. Wavy p…

Yes, I have a graphic drawing under the reading materials showing that it is inauspicious to have a road behind the house. Usually, there are a few ways to neutralise this:- 1. It can be neutralised by having e.g. a bri ck wall or a fence with `privacy' screen or plants that `grow' on the fence. 2. Behind the fence if it is possible to grow some plants that one day become `bushes' that act as a screen. What we are trying to do is to symbolically use plants or if there is a brick wall to create a `solid backing' for the site. If the above is `done', this means that there is a protective backing behind the house even if you can view it at your first level, this is consider…

Dear Serene, 1. Thanks for the sketch and image from your main entrance. 2. Based on your description of the ba gua mirror i.e. the convex type; plus the two kirins outside their door; it is meant more for `protection' by your neighour. 3. In my opinion, since your unit is not directly in-front of this unit; there is no issue here. 4. For example, it is common place for many homes (landed property) to e.g. a pair of lions on the pillars of the gate of these homes. And your home is (if it is a landed property) not directly in the `line of sight'. 5. Your view is more of a side view and thus not affected by these placements. The vacant unit i.e. directly opposite this neigh…

Dear Mdm Tan, Glad that you find this website useful a. From a Feng Shui point of view:- 1. Generally, it is a site worth considering as: 1.1. all the blocks can be of very high floor(s) 1.2. higher floors have generally good unobstructed views 2. For such a development, often, the aim is to get higher floors vs lower (1 to 5 storeys) 3. Try to use the Eight House to check to see if the home especially fits the breadwinner. 4. Another major Feng Shui consideration has also to do with where is the afternoon sun? Generally, it would be good if the masterbedroom, bedrooms and even the living rooms are not "bathed" by the afternoon sun. 5. Even if the rooms …

You wrote: "Just to answer some of your questions: This is a side door not located in front or the facing direction. I understand the bathroom is in a bad sector (flying stars 2 & 5). The sewerage pipe of the toilet is not directly above the door. The door is above a basin (for washing hands/face) and the connected water pipe. As this part of house is under construction, If it is not Ok , then I will move the door but this will reduce the size of the next room much smaller." In my opinion, one consolation is that it is located at a sector with bad stars #2 & #5. This is in a way considered as a plus point. I believe, a higher percentage has more to do with "leak…

Dear Cecil, Thanks so much for your replies. It makes me feel much better, specially because I felt a bit silly about the whole thing. As regards your queries, I am posting a few details here: * A little about this house: It consists of two flats side by side on the first floor. Each has a hall, kitchen and a bedroom. The flat numbers are 101 and 102. The main entrance is the door of flat 102, which is NE facing. A numerologist we know advised us to keep the NE direction because as per Hindu astrology, it is auspicious. He also said the number ?102?which adds up to a 3 is not good and so asked us to write it as ?102B? for a more favourable number 5. (Actually the original…

You can still use the proposed centrepoint and extend this to the family room. The rationale is because your "extended" room is tiny compared to larger spaces. However, if your "extended" room size is larger than 1,000 sq feet, then you can determine the centrepoint separately for this room.
