Hi! we have a good house in a good area that is priced right but it just won't sell. We are in great despair(especially financially!) because we have purchased and need to sell fast. Everyone who views likes the property but no one will go to offer. I have tried several things including a leaving a light at the back of the property, de-cluttering, fresh flowers, plants etc but nothing seems to help/work. The only thing I can think of is I have several yucca plants. There is one that points down the property's driveway (maybe poision arrows)we have tried to shift it but it is so heavy it can't be moved. What could we do the counteract this and any advice on how to sell and…

Thank You Cecil for your advice. I do have a scroll to hang on the wall that is facing my main door entrance as you advised. However, it is not a scroll with flowers but with a waterfall. Is it alright? Also, about my resale flat, you were saying to find out the reason why the previous owner wanted to move out of the flat. I found out that they have migrated to Australia as the owner of the flat has been posted by his company to work in Australia so the whole family went together. Pls advise if this is OK. Dear Gary, Glad you enjoy our website http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_razz.gif 1. Under the water classic, when water can be seen flowing gently towards the house/office is generally auspicious. 2. If if water can be seen from the house/office flowing outwards, then it is no good. Then it is that it is a covered drain which can hide it. 3. If water flows out from the back it is also not good. This is all under the water classic concepts. 4. It depends. Your description is not clear so unable to comment here as I am unable to really visualise what you are describing. 5. This again depends. There are so many factors:- a. like how big or deep is th…

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, you must have picked up the tip from a book written with `sector Feng Shui'. 2. From what I can see, in normal situations, there is relatively no issue or problem with regards to the placement of candles in your living hall or kitchen. 3. In my opinion also, real fire is more `unusual' than any of the other 4 elements e.g. water, wood, metal and earth. In that candles relate more to Yang energy - enhancement of Qi rather than `sha qi'. 4. I believe, some FS practitioners (if they are practising Flying Star (Xuan Kong Fei Xing) may be worried about this. Since, under the Five elements concept, fire produces earth. And because #5 (misfortune, si…

Dear Carrie, I agree with you. You should try out the curtain first. This is because, one should not place the Kuan Yin figurine on a study table or in the bedroom. For those who are not sure what the Kuan Yin figurine looks like, there is a photo of it under the conference: Photo Tours of Interest (with Pictures) look for something like figurine... The reason why one should not place the Kuan Yin figurine is that it is a revered Chinese `God'. She is called the Goddess of Mercy. Locally, in Singapore, there is also a temple at Waterloo Street devoted to her. In Chinese Beliefs, (not Feng Shui) it is `dirty' for Gods to look at human beings especially in intimate location…

Dear Anon, These are three alternatives which can be used in combination:- 1. Where possible use trees. I am not sure whether it is feasible for the trees to be planted outside the house. 2. Door painted `red'. This is where Fire is used to destroy metal (cannon ball/cannon which is comprised on metal) resulting in wealth creation. Caution: I do not know the person's element and strength and direction the door is facing so, this is a very general statement). 3. Can hang the Ba Gua mirror above the door. Other good alternatives:- 4. Tilting the main entrance door to one of the auspicious locations for the owner. (Strongly recommended) 5. Or use a convex door to deflect sha…

Hi Master, i’m looking for help as the master room (in the picture), has a full window side, a wall sharing with toilet, a wall with door, and another wall with the wardrobe. Is it wise to open a new door (on the left), and close up the one on the right and hack away the wardrobe? Or is it okay to share wall with the toilet as the toilet bowl is not on the same wall as the bed head? My best sleeping direction is: North, East, South, South East.

Dear Jenna, Thank you for bringing up a rather interesting question. Let me first elaborate that in the past, especially in China, toilets was never `attached' to the house. It is usually situtated a distance away from the house. However, in our modern society, this is no longer possible. Like the concept of the toilet, litter bins or boxes should preferably have a lid and closed when not in use. It should be emptied regularly. Where possible, use trash bags to contain fluids or liquid waste or drained away. The purpose of the lid is to keep any animals from scavaging the litter bins. It is acceptable practice to keep the bin below the sink (for those who have an electric…

Dear Joe, Anonymous wrote: I believe one of the pt to note is to get a good facing main door according to your life kua. However I thought of buying a house that I like and it is facing East but my like kua is 2, East is not my favourable sector. Should I drop the idea in getting this house? Is the door facing VERY important? Thank. Joe Suitability is impossible to correct after you purchase the home. If the suitability is Spook or Irritation, it won't be too bad. Since the house is Disaster sector, which is one of the two worst sector. It is highly not advisable. You should remember that the facing of the house is the most important thing next to the environment of t…

Dear Donna, As `keeping' money can be diverse, you can first look at your home to neutralise imbalances based on the new compass readings first. And check if there are any mountain stars that can be activated. (Water stars can also be activated depending on the stars at the specific locations, usually in the living room, this has to be looked at further). In addition, see how suitable you are to your home e.g. by using the Eight House Theory. Further fine tuning can be done with the help of Pillars, if needed. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ber, As Joe correctly pointed out where best, try to avoid mirrors especially large ones in the house. 1. Mirrors are of the YIN element. 2. Mirrors located at a " wrong " location can bounce back twice the bad luck. 3. It is common for the Cantonese (A dialect group of the Chinese) to install a large mirror in the dinning room in the hope that it will bring them auspiciousness. But as I mentioned above, becareful where you install it. 4. It is not advisable to have a mirror in one room, `shine' towards another room as we do not know what we are bouncing unless one does a Flying Star chart to analyse further. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Fenny, Traditionally, you can try purchasing a small foldable pen-knife. Wrap it in a cloth material and it is sewn into the pillow casing. Warning: Make sure that the pen-knife is closed shut and the casing is padded with cloth. It is suppose to curb dreams. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: I'ma strong water. What's the best car color for me, red, green, or yellow? Strong Water normally means that Wood (green/brown), Fire (red), Earth (yellow)are your favourable. Fire (red) will be wealth to Strong Water. If I am not wrong you have previously purchased a ba zi premium report, right? Check your five element percentage in your ba zi overview summary report, see which element you lack most. The element you have least percentage among the favourable element, means that you lackthat element. So that element/colour becomes your most effective element/colour to go for. Hope that helps. Hi Master Cecil, I am looking for a used car. Supposedly black would be my preference but it has been sold out and I am left with one in red colour which fits my bill. But based on my ba zi report, red is my unfavourable wealth element. Should I not proceed with the purchase? I attach herewith some snippets of my bazi report. Your advice and help would be very much appreciated Thanks.

1. In Feng Shui, there are "fixed" formulas e.g. Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui. 2. But, in the realm of numerology, there are so many varied methods and interpretations. For example, phoentic sound-like to many is equally important. Cantonese Chinese don't like "4" or "44" etc... 3. And one method is converting your 780 into Chinese characters and counting the stokes etc.. Thus, since there is so vastly different methods of numerology i.e. the Chinese have many methods, the Indians have their numerology.. so where or how do you interpret 780? Since there is a right or wrong thus any interpretation usually gives a 50 percent chance!

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Recently I buy a new car with 9984 as the number plate and White as the car colour. Just want to enquire is this set of numbers and car colour both favourable for me? White colour is normally defined as Metal element. As a weak waer person, metalis a favourable colour for you. As for the car number question, there isn't a feng shui analysis for car number. Under feng shui, normally two methods are used:- 1.While there are numerous way to determine how auspicious a number. For example, most will go by sounding of the number 9984 (jiu jiu fa si - longevity longevity prosperty death). Theother numbers all would be ok except for maybe the 4 whi…

Good Luck in your new venture! Just to clarify number "4" is subjective. As mentioned earlier; this number does not appeal especially to the Cantonese dialect group of the Chinese. In China, today especially in Beijing and/or Shanghai; where there are few Cantonese and for the communist period till now; they don't seem to have any adverse thinking towards the number "4". This is why; I call the number "4" pretty subjective number. However, in the Far East; where supersititions strive and there is a large pool of Cantonese speaking Chinese; even in your country, Singapore, Malaysia; number "4" ain't so good a number. Hope you know what I mean...

1. For the Chinese (we believe) in three kinds of luck:- Heaven luck - what we are suppose to be born with Earth luck - Feng Shui of home and/office Human or man luck - Family relationship, bonding ... 2. What you mention has more to do with Numerology. Frankly, there are at least more than 10 or more different ways humans calculate what is auspicious or inauspicious. The Chinese have various methods, other races also have different methods of calcuating. Thus, some may feel that 168 is good, some may feel that is a rotten or bad number. 3. Therefore, what I feel is that a number can mean so different thing or responses from many parties to invalidate one method from …

Frankly, all these have to do with personal believes than Feng Shui. In my opinion, it is best not to be too concerned with "other people's logo" especially since one does not have full control over it. If one really fancies a car, then based on ba zi; could go for one's favourable colour(s) for the car. For example in a conscripted army like Singapore uniforms: green = army white = navy blue = air force If a person is a strong wood person. Can this person requests to go into the navy (white) instead as green is considered inauspicious? What you mentioned, therefore is utopian way of thinking. Then there will be others who will say: THREE pointed stars (Mercedes) logo i…

General observations:- 1. Rough estimate is that most of the units are of Flying Star: Period 8, NE 1 or SW1. 2. Just be careful of sharp edges from another unit (stack). For example, stack 20; may have an edge or corner that is aimed towards stack 14 (perhaps a bedroom window) or vice versa. Stack 24 with 18. 3. As usual, best not to have afternoon sun soaking into master bedroom walls or thru windows of living, bedroom(s). 4. Again, club house roof fans out creating a sha qi particularly of concern is for stack 29 (less of a concern for stack 28). Thus depending on how high the roof is, avoid having it slice towards the window level of lower floor - stack 29. …
