Dear Anon, Not so much of Feng Shui, but do give an air of confidence. It is best to use tips relating to interviews than Feng Shui to work effectively. Under Chinese Astrology, it is good that the date /time of interview is an auspicious time. Otherwise, there is not much use of it. Wishing your husband best of luck in his interview! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My daughter's birth element is weak wood and her five element breakdown is as follows: Anonymous wrote: 5% water, 20% wood, 0% fire, 75% earth and 0% metal. What this means is that:- As a weak Wood, her favourable element is Water and Wood. Since she has only 5% Water, water is the element she lack most. Therefore, water is more preferred than Wood (20%). Her unfavourable elements would be Metal because it destroy Wood and Fire which exhaust her Wood. Hoever, as she has 0% Fire and 0% Metal, some of these element is good but she will need to first have the element she favours first. Then only then can you have a little of some of the un…

    1. It is good that you have observed that your daughter has "better" left brain skills (logical, mathematical...) than right brain (intuitive, subjective, spatial) skills. 2. In theory, better careers based purely on Ba zi for a weak wood person are careers in the water industry and wood industry. 3. Accountancy belongs to or is considered as a "metal" element career. Thus strickly based on ba zi to define a career, a weak wood person should be "surrounded" by water. As water supports wood. Only then can "metal" destroy (weak wood + water). 4. In my opinion, as parents, it is good to know but, I believe, you will also leave it to your daughter to pursue anything under …

Hi. I read somewhere online that to help activate career luck, to get a water fountain with a dragon. Well, I found one, and I wanted to make sure if what I read was correct. It also said to either put it in the North or the Southeast (of the room I work in, or my whole house - I'm not too sure). My Kua Number is 1, in case. I guess I'm just wondering if what I read was correct, if the dragon water fountain would really help, and if I bought the fountain, where should the it go? Thanks for your help

Dear Lakshmanan, We have to take note that Feng Shui and other Divinity methods is all about trying to increase/improve our luck. Therefore, it is difficult to give a one-liner answer to your question. In fact, Feng Shui or divinity methods should be a holistic method that one can use to improve our luck in all `compartments'. Thus, from my personal experience, trying to improve a particular sector of a house e.g. North = career WILL not be as effective as applying sensible methods to include the following:- A. Protect, protect and protect - There is no such thing as 100 percent perfect homes. We must ensure that our house is properly protected e.g. from poison arrows …

Dear Anon, 1. In general (broad sense); Finance Services has to do with the Metal element. 2. This was because, Finance or Accounting was said to deal with "coins"; thus this is where it has an association with the metal element. 3. However, in the past, careers can be easily classifed. For example, a Merchant is a merchant. A butcher is a butcher. 4. But as most of us are aware, if one is a salaried worker or even working for one's self; there is a high element of "multi-skilling". 5. This is not because our "employer-tax-us-to-death" but because, now adays even a butcher may have to use a computer eg. order goods, surf the web etc... 6. A more accurate way is to look at…

Dear Phua, Yes, in Singapore, anyone especially middle management staff who are also over 40+ often have difficulty finding another jobhttp://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_sad.gif For the time being, unless you really have another alternative, have no choice but to "REN" or be patient! What is worse-off is without a proper job. Look at it this way, everyone will have to grow old someday and these people who treat the "elderly" will no doubt share the same or even worse fate! When the tough gets going, you simply have to gain courage or even get support from close ones especially family members! But most of all, don't despair! Do your best! Take care! Warmest Rega…

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, there is a major flaw in wanting to apply sector/area or corner Feng Shui. 2. For example, how is it that everyone's career area is in a fixed position? For example in the north? 3. This kind of theory cannot hold for everyone and it does not make sense to `pay homage' to this sector. 4. Overall, many a questions were asked as to how can I improve my `career' or `wealth'? Can Feng Shui provide the answer to this? 5. We have to understand that Feng Shui is about bringing in harmony to the house and MAY not be directly related to career or wealth. 6. What does all this mean? If one wants to use Feng Shui one has to remember that with proper use,…

Dear Lina, In Feng Shui, it is easier done if this is a landed property i.e. placing a lamp at a corner of the missing area or to do landscaping. Where, a top view would show the missing corner being `landscaped' with e.g. potted plants or a grass field covering it. But in an apartment, the two most common ways are:- 1. If it is possible, one side of the missing corner can be placed with a mirror. But do take note the conditions for placement of the mirror:- - If this is the bedroom location, it is best not to have the mirror reflect towards the bed. - Never use two `split' pieces of mirror. - An alternative (some FS practitioners) suggest is to place a wooden wind chime…

Dear Master Cecil, iv>I would like to thank you for your informative website. Recently i had been reading the available resources and forum messages.iv> Curre ntly i m staying in a bunk and would like to enhance my career. Came across some advice on placing a picture of aspiration in the N of the room. The photo is of a jet with the pilot visible and it is pointing to the bottom left of the picture. the photo frame is black in colour but is made of wood. Does it neutralise or create negativity since water feeds wood and water is said to be in the north. And also if my wealth sector in the south, if i were to place a similar picture, the picture would be facing the d…

  14. Started by Derek,

Dear Chai, This is based on the Eight Aspirations or Eight/Life Associations where North is the career sector. The above is based on the interpretation of the Gua Trigram where North = Career sector. Unfortunately, this is a general statement and is not personalised to anyone. It is like saying that North = Water sector. Due to the many other Feng Shui theories available which are personalised to an individual: especially Eight House Theory, Flying Star. In my opinion, I consider this Kindergarden Feng Shui or `pre-school' level. Here, it is too general a theory. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Thatk you for your answer. My building is built in 1975 - period 6 and the FS for my son's bedroom (bedroom is on the West sector)are: 4MS/8BS/8WS. In that combination is yellow carpet OK for him (weak earth person)? You said the red (fire element) is more a acceptable. I know, but how much red I have to put in his room? 33,3% of whole room, or some details will be OK? Like you see, the bedroom is on the West (metal element), Metal exhaust Earth... I have a blanket for his bed in yellow/dark-red color combination... Dark-red - is that still fire element? I am sorry to bother you, but it is very important for me. Thank you in advance, Dragana

Dear Ceilia, Can I check with you is your house built between 1984 to this year? If it is built in Period 7, where centre is the current prosperity sector, it would be better to use Green carpet. As centre of the house is also of the yellow element, Green represents wood would help to neutralise the earth element (as Wood destroys earth). As for Red which represents the Fire element, my advise is to keep this element off the centrepoint of the house The above is based on preliminary analysis based on generalised FS without taking into consideration your personal elements/strengths. It is based more on analysis of the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cheryl, In my opinion, there should not be an issue with the situation that you had described. From a Feng Shui point of view, this is not an issue. There are some concern by some people only if there is a upper floor e.g. bedroom just above the car-porch. In such a situation, someone said that in the event that a car caught fire, it would be dangerous to have the car below this bedroom. But to be honest, how often have we heard that stationary cars catch fire. Alternatively, smoke detectors or fire safety sensors could be used, here. 1. Most likely, you notion of Career sector is based on a "fixed template"? model? If so, this fixed template model is a modern invention. And may not be true under Traditional Feng Shui accessment. 2. Under Traditional Feng Shui, it is best not to have a giant main entrance . As for a giant doorway, generally, it should not be an issue if it is part of the living area or the passageway. 3. Again, this "knowlege sector" is not based on Authentic Traditional Feng Shui. Quote: Three stairs go up through the giantdoorwayto the other side to enter the knowledge sector 4. What you had been applying is the modern invention.
