Note: this is not about Feng Shui. It is related to custom or beliefs. Imagine, just placing one's love one e.g. A baby or toddler to lie down at the main door. Usually if the white collar husband comes home and removes his shoe not too bad. But if one works at a site or outdoor, go imagine. More importantly, most people would at least sweep the floor or wash it. Either splashing the figurine or need to remove it temporarily - moving it.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Replying to your question. My bed faces East which falls under Death direction. I am strong Yang Metal (birth element) 7, so this is bad. Please advise what colours to use as I am unable to move my bed. I have attached below your previous response. Use the favourable colours as shown in the free report:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm As a Strong Metal, generally the favourable colours would be Water (light shades of blue/black/gray) or Wood (light shades of Green/Brown). Dear Beth, I have already replied you with my analysis and other comments in an email. Briefly, the layout has three major flaws: (two with known cures the third - pseudo cure.. only) 1. staircase to upper floor can be seen directly from the main entrance door. As the distance is too close to the stairs, it would be difficult to use a door screen. I am not sure, if bead curtains are currently in fashion. This is one cure thou. Another thing is that staircase must have a turn instead of leading straight upwards to the second floor. 2. Toilet at the centre of the house (ground floor)... this is a fundamental flaw.. and implies money flowing away... Very difficult or rea…

1. More importantly; it is good to spent time or have family activites especially located at a double #8 location. 2. It does not mean one has to purposely stand in the sun or that nature. But good to have human activites. 3. On a roof, thou, the water feature is not compulory, but it adds to the so called ambience of the home or the roof top area. Often, for practical reasons, each area in any location be a home etc.. has a certain structural load or threshold. Having a large water feature - means the per kilo newton loading of say a support should not be breeched. Especially if other things like water reservior is on the same area of a building. 4. Otherwise, the k…

Dear Edwin, Please see below:- However, Flying Star is but only one of the theories. Another key element would be the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. For example, most likey, your home has favourable or relatively good Shapes and Forms. And Shapes and Forms together with Flying star Feng shui combined together seems to (perhaps) help aid your home Feng Shui. Contrast this (perhaps again) with some other homes that may have good Flying star Feng Shui but bad Shapes and forms. Thus, the situation may not be the same, overall. Sometimes, we go to some Feng Shui sites and they give very flowerly names to number e.g. Purple = #9 or Yellow = #5. Anyway, again, all…

Hi, Please read below:- Generally, you still can, but not advisable if your situation is such that you have too much of water. What you should try to do is reduce the influence. However, please do not take it the wrong way or go to the extreme. Lets say that even if you are considered a Strong Water, does that mean that you cannot have metal? Remember that Feng Shui is about balance, and it is best to have a little of everything. This means that if in your Pillars you find that you do not have any Earth, then you should still try to create some earth by wearing some earthly colour or use Fire to produce what you lack. Why should you still have some unfavourable elem…

Dear Joanna, Mirrors are said to reflect qi. In general, usually it is not advisable for the mirror to face directly the bathroom door. The believe here is that it may reflect out what was inside the toilet. More commonly, it is ok to place it at the side of the door. E.g. when one enters the toilet, it is on the right or left side. But, I believe, you may not have a choice. Since it is usually above your wash basin. Try to close the toilet door when not in use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Cecil i would like to seek your advise in FS which of the following is a lesser evil and easier to remediate: 1) flying star 2 & 5 landed in Master Bedroom for a Period 8 house; or 2) main door in good sector but has a bad facing in the death direction? What are some effective remedies for each? I read in some FS books that there are timely and untimely flying stars? What does it mean?

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My next door neighbors are a nice young couple, but their lifestyle includes loudy heavy metal music, drinking, barking dogs, late night visitors with noisy cars, all of which is conducted in their garage and on their front porch which is only a few metres away from my bedroom and my 10 month old son's bedroom (we live in a group of stand alone villa units). I have tried talking to the neighbors and asking them to moderate the noise, and they are very understanding and promise to be quieter, but then the noise continues. Sorry, but Feng Shui is not a miracle cure for all times of problem. This is because even if youpaint the favourable col…

Dear Magnani, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, April 28, 1999 9:35 PM Subject: shall I put all my water/wealth symbols in my hallway to my house? Based on the available information you have provided me, yes, it is acceptable to place a fishtank and a small water fountain on the left side of the main entrance. From what I can understand, I hope that the fishtank is not overall huge or large. A small water fountain is acceptable. This is because too much water can cause an imbalance of yin/yang i.e. too much water becomes too `yin' and as West (metal) is also a yi…

Dear KS, 1. It is best not to let the fish tank face the main door i.e. when one opens the main door, try not to have it face this door. 2. The most effective (Key sucess factor) is to use the Flying Star Feng Shui. A good location is where there is e.g. #7 small metal x 2 (metal element) or #6 big metal. Under the Five Elements Concept, metal supports water. And thus, it is advantages for a water position. 3. For those who are staying in an apartment: one actually (should) have already virtual water (clear space). And often water position is not necessary. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Saroah, Sarosh B wrote: I live in a building with a Ground Floor and Four Floors above it. Sarosh B wrote: My apartment is on the Ground Floor, so is my property a Landed property or Apartment as you have mentioned 2nd floor onwards for apartment. Given that you leave in an apartment, with likely 4 different owners in floors above you, therefore it is still considered an apartment. Thus, you should still take the main door as if it is a low floor (typically is 2nd-7th level). In your case, will be ground floor to 7th floor). Hope that helps. Dear Elizabeth, As a guideline:- 1. The aquarium, most not be placed at the centre-point of the house. 2. Preferable that it should not be placed in the dining room. As you mentioned, it is acceptable to place the aquarium in the family room and on the `surface' it looks a sensible location to be placed. Where possible, if your house has an `L' shape configuration, symbolically, or through use of partition to `change' it to a square or rectangle shaped. This configuration is still the best. Hi, Ideally, not good for the male head career and overall luck. On the other hand, If a kitchen should usually be an auspicious sector of the spouse. This will help or even lessen the concern for the male head breadwinner. This is one reason why sometimes a kitchen at NW is bad for some but no issue for others. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned, please see attached example. Do take note that it is not necessary for SOME homes to use screens. And the attach picture should be considered a general example or broad example. 1. Purple line - manipulation of qi flow (or symbolic qi flow towards the centrepoint or the heart of the house. 2. Red - proposed location of screen. Please take note that ideally, the screen should hug or be around the same level as one side of the corridor as shown by a straight blue line. 3. Here, a half height glass panel is acceptable since, it can help to difuse light towards the main door area. 4. Since the master bedroom door is at the end of …

Yes, you are right to point out that the poison arrow (concrete beam edge) in my opinion exerts around 1 metre range of sha qi or poison arrows. I only gave a quick glance of the layout plan; 1. Standing at the main door when looking into the kitchen, should not have a glimpse of sharp objects like knifes or scissors.. as based on Shapes and Forms, this is considered inauspicious. 1.1. While based on commonsense, it is rare but if someone were to run into the home, sees the knives; grap one and go threaten the family members... (More on commonsense, here). 2. In the event that the dining table can be seen thru the corridor of the main door area and orbedroom 3, then if t…

Dear Ann, Ann Loo wrote: Thanks so much for clarification. Incidentally, my master bedroom is on one level directly above the living room and the study is at 2nd level above this. (Its a 2.5 storey house). This will make both the master bedroom andstudy to have the 8-1-8 combination as well. Should I activate the mountain stars for both sectors and how can the mountain star be activated? Will putting paintings of mountain help? Thanks again Yes, in this case the painting of the moutain will help activate the mountain star in the bedroom. And, yes, you can also activate the water star in the living room. But you cannot activate both in the same room/level. Hope that h…

Dear Cindy, In this sample report, (see attachment ) In general, a geomancer will select a name based on the breakdown of one's ba zi element:- Your Five Element Breakdown 1 Weak Water 4 Strongest Wood 2 Strong Fire 1 Extremely Weak Earth 0 Weakest Metal 9% 62% 25% 3% 0% This tells me that you are a Weak Water because of too little Water (9%) and Metal (0%). Your element is born in a season which is makes Water Element Weak. Thus, influencing the element strength of the other five element elements. The percentage of each element is considered after considering the seasonal strength and the number of that element presen…

1. I am not going to go into all the nitty gritty details. 2. As you have read and understood that a kitchen especially a stove at NW = "Fire at Heaven's gate". 3. In addition, some books will say that based on the "current" trigram, HW = Heaven hexagram or "Heaven's Luck". 4. Thus having a stove at NW will affect Para 2 and 3. (Full-stop).
