Dear Joanna, Mirrors are said to reflect qi. In general, usually it is not advisable for the mirror to face directly the bathroom door. The believe here is that it may reflect out what was inside the toilet. More commonly, it is ok to place it at the side of the door. E.g. when one enters the toilet, it is on the right or left side. But, I believe, you may not have a choice. Since it is usually above your wash basin. Try to close the toilet door when not in use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Edwin, Please see below:- However, Flying Star is but only one of the theories. Another key element would be the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. For example, most likey, your home has favourable or relatively good Shapes and Forms. And Shapes and Forms together with Flying star Feng shui combined together seems to (perhaps) help aid your home Feng Shui. Contrast this (perhaps again) with some other homes that may have good Flying star Feng Shui but bad Shapes and forms. Thus, the situation may not be the same, overall. Sometimes, we go to some Feng Shui sites and they give very flowerly names to number e.g. Purple = #9 or Yellow = #5. Anyway, again, all…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Replying to your question. My bed faces East which falls under Death direction. I am strong Yang Metal (birth element) 7, so this is bad. Please advise what colours to use as I am unable to move my bed. I have attached below your previous response. Use the favourable colours as shown in the free report:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm As a Strong Metal, generally the favourable colours would be Water (light shades of blue/black/gray) or Wood (light shades of Green/Brown). Refer to this chart for the five element and colours:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Just take note that colours such as Wood/Fire/E…

Frankly, determining an industry or job specification is based on a certain mastery of the Five Elements Concept and also Mandarin characters. In some sense, your question is like: why are there only 5 elements: metal, water, wood, fire and earth? This sort of question. Anonymous wrote: Thank you very much for answering my query re career element. May I ask also, what are the characteristics of a metal element career? I understand that a metal career would include finance, entertainment, politics etc...what do they have in common? Thank you once again for sharing your time and expertise. Have a great day !

Dear Elena, Please see below:- Although a U shaped house is not ideal but overall, it is still acceptable design. Yes, the addition can still be made six months after they move in. Please email to robert-lee@3dmail.com so that he can provide you with a free credit to generate the month auspicious date. Here, you need to obtain the breadwinner's date of birth (time optional) and if the month of reno is clear, use the report to find out a good date to start the renovation. The above looks ok to me. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I'm a gua 7 that makes the east a death sector. However star 6 is metal, 1 is water, and under bazi I'm strong fire. Is it as bad for me? Death sector is the worst of the 4 bad direction under the eight house. The East sector of the house is Wood element. as a Strong Fire, wood only makes you stronger, thus is considered again a unfavourable suitability. So it means that you are entirely not suited for any bedroom or facing direction of a house that is East. The flying star of the bedroom isn't too bad. However, as long as your bedroom is unsuitable, no matter how good the luck of the room, you will simply not be able to benefit from it. Ano…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My next door neighbors are a nice young couple, but their lifestyle includes loudy heavy metal music, drinking, barking dogs, late night visitors with noisy cars, all of which is conducted in their garage and on their front porch which is only a few metres away from my bedroom and my 10 month old son's bedroom (we live in a group of stand alone villa units). I have tried talking to the neighbors and asking them to moderate the noise, and they are very understanding and promise to be quieter, but then the noise continues. Sorry, but Feng Shui is not a miracle cure for all times of problem. This is because even if youpaint the favourable col…

Yes, you are right to point out that the poison arrow (concrete beam edge) in my opinion exerts around 1 metre range of sha qi or poison arrows. I only gave a quick glance of the layout plan; 1. Standing at the main door when looking into the kitchen, should not have a glimpse of sharp objects like knifes or scissors.. as based on Shapes and Forms, this is considered inauspicious. 1.1. While based on commonsense, it is rare but if someone were to run into the home, sees the knives; grap one and go threaten the family members... (More on commonsense, here). 2. In the event that the dining table can be seen thru the corridor of the main door area and orbedroom 3, then if t…

Dear Elizabeth, As a guideline:- 1. The aquarium, most not be placed at the centre-point of the house. 2. Preferable that it should not be placed in the dining room. As you mentioned, it is acceptable to place the aquarium in the family room and on the `surface' it looks a sensible location to be placed. Where possible, if your house has an `L' shape configuration, symbolically, or through use of partition to `change' it to a square or rectangle shaped. This configuration is still the best. Dear Magnani, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, April 28, 1999 9:35 PM Subject: shall I put all my water/wealth symbols in my hallway to my house? Based on the available information you have provided me, yes, it is acceptable to place a fishtank and a small water fountain on the left side of the main entrance. From what I can understand, I hope that the fishtank is not overall huge or large. A small water fountain is acceptable. This is because too much water can cause an imbalance of yin/yang i.e. too much water becomes too `yin' and as West (metal) is also a yi…

1. More importantly; it is good to spent time or have family activites especially located at a double #8 location. 2. It does not mean one has to purposely stand in the sun or that nature. But good to have human activites. 3. On a roof, thou, the water feature is not compulory, but it adds to the so called ambience of the home or the roof top area. Often, for practical reasons, each area in any location be a home etc.. has a certain structural load or threshold. Having a large water feature - means the per kilo newton loading of say a support should not be breeched. Especially if other things like water reservior is on the same area of a building. 4. Otherwise, the k…

Hi, Please read below:- Generally, you still can, but not advisable if your situation is such that you have too much of water. What you should try to do is reduce the influence. However, please do not take it the wrong way or go to the extreme. Lets say that even if you are considered a Strong Water, does that mean that you cannot have metal? Remember that Feng Shui is about balance, and it is best to have a little of everything. This means that if in your Pillars you find that you do not have any Earth, then you should still try to create some earth by wearing some earthly colour or use Fire to produce what you lack. Why should you still have some unfavourable elem…

Frankly, this is more a house hunting related service rather than free advise. There are so many condo developments in Singapore. Every condo will have some good or bad blocks. And even within the block there are good and bad units. Furthermore, depending on the direction of the apartment faces, the house luck will be different. 1. I am not going to go into all the nitty gritty details. 2. As you have read and understood that a kitchen especially a stove at NW = "Fire at Heaven's gate". 3. In addition, some books will say that based on the "current" trigram, HW = Heaven hexagram or "Heaven's Luck". 4. Thus having a stove at NW will affect Para 2 and 3. (Full-stop).

Dear KS, 1. It is best not to let the fish tank face the main door i.e. when one opens the main door, try not to have it face this door. 2. The most effective (Key sucess factor) is to use the Flying Star Feng Shui. A good location is where there is e.g. #7 small metal x 2 (metal element) or #6 big metal. Under the Five Elements Concept, metal supports water. And thus, it is advantages for a water position. 3. For those who are staying in an apartment: one actually (should) have already virtual water (clear space). And often water position is not necessary. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Ideally, not good for the male head career and overall luck. On the other hand, If a kitchen should usually be an auspicious sector of the spouse. This will help or even lessen the concern for the male head breadwinner. This is one reason why sometimes a kitchen at NW is bad for some but no issue for others. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. The origin of the FIXED TEMPLATE BAGUA model originated from this infamous person: Lin Yun. 2. You can read this article extract from this website about the Confessions of Lin Yun:- [ URL link no longer exists ] Appended by Cecil Lee in 2020: Apologies, Please understand that this article was written in 2009 = many years ago. 3. This fixed template bagua - does not take into consideration both: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and Compass School Feng Shui. 5. Under the Compass School Feng Shui: there is the E…

Hi, This has more to do with " superstition " then Feng Shui. Here goes:- Peach Blossom refers to the sweet young face of a young girl. It also signifies an easy going very ready to be seduced girl. I have not heard of Peach Luck but overall the above is the significance of the closest on Peach Luck -> Peach Blossom. Otherwise, what you mentioned may only be regarded as a superstition. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Yael, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, May 10, 1999 10:07 PM Subject: living in a yacht Personally, I have not read any materials about Feng Shui for yacht. Also, because for the yacht, your directions are often changing, realistically there is no way you can even apply Flying Star or Eight House to your yacht, your boat is often changing directions. If you do want to apply Feng Shui to your yacht, the only possible theory is either Yin & Yang, Colours and Five Element. This means you can apply things like say if you are a weak wood, then obtain colour of…

I have read that you should always keep the toilet lid closed -especially when you flush it. It may also be good to put a plant at some point between your bed and the the toilet and to try to keep the bathroom door closed as much as possible. I hope this helps. Good luck with the coming of your new baby!
