Dear Joe, The main consideration is that the bamboo plant should not be allowed to grow too `large' or too tall. If you are planting the bamboo plant e.g. at your garden, `proper maintenance' is required as in time, they will expand and lots of effort are required to main the plant. My suggestion is to plant the bamboo plant in a pot. Here, the bamboo plant will be contained. Bamboo plant is symbolic of:- 1. Many Chinese poems are written on sheets of paper with drawings of bamboo paintings. 2. As the bamboo tube is used to house fire crackers or fire works, it is symbollic of good luck as fire crackers dispel evil or scare them away. 3. The leave of the bamboo bends down…

  2. Dear Cecil, thank you for your response. I do feel that the natural front ('frontage?) of my house is toward the East. I have a panorama view here over the sea and a door that leads out to the balcony. Every morning the sun rises directly to fill our whole house with light. The land in front of this door also slants down and toward a garden and finally the beach. However, I know it won't work to use this door as a main door, as it would mean walking around the house every time we want to exit and enter. However, when inside, I do basically feel that East is the front. Is it therefore, as you mentioned - possible to consider this the front of the house when attempting to d…

Dear Cindy, In this sample report, (see attachment ) In general, a geomancer will select a name based on the breakdown of one's ba zi element:- Your Five Element Breakdown 1 Weak Water 4 Strongest Wood 2 Strong Fire 1 Extremely Weak Earth 0 Weakest Metal 9% 62% 25% 3% 0% This tells me that you are a Weak Water because of too little Water (9%) and Metal (0%). Your element is born in a season which is makes Water Element Weak. Thus, influencing the element strength of the other five element elements. The percentage of each element is considered after considering the seasonal strength and the number of that element presen…

Dear Jim, As mentioned in the previous message to another user. Selling a House does not really fall under Feng Shui. At best what you should do is keep the house bright and pleasing to look at and get a good real estate agent to help you advertise your home. Other than that, there is very little you can do personally to help the sales except maybe to increase your personal luck by enhancing yourself with favourable elements. This way you might be able to increase your chance of getting a suitable buyer. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Tom, Further to what I mentioned earlier, here are some other considerations:- 1. Symbolism is important in Feng Shui. I am not sure about natural crysals or gemstones but the shape preceeds material used. For example, for a piece of wood shaped like a pyramid, although its natural element is wood; but because it has taken the form of a pyramid, it should now be classified as a `fire element'. Alternatively, the piece of wood has been shaped like a pyramid and painted red. Here, red = fire element would also make it as a fire element. 2. Traditional Feng Shui is all about the Five elements concept: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal elements. Although, the methology…

  7. Good day, masters! I am studying Feng Shui extensively, and have been using your site to do my personal calculations. I am confused however on one particular: I live in a west group house, which is perfect for me as I am a west group person. However, the layout of my home has me facing all my 'bad directions', and my good directions, such as the southwest, are blocked by a stepladder staircase going into a hole in the floor to my bedroom level (I live in a three level loft style condominium). The good areas, such as west (where my front door is, and closet upstairs) southwest (staircase and big hole in the floor) northwest (bathroom lower floor and closet upper floor) …

  8. Dear Glyn, Thanks very much. Robert and myself do appreciate it. Your words of encouragments will further encourage us to work harder especially on the course. Just to let you know on the progress of the course, I am currently busy reviewing the syllabus and content of the various courses under www.geomancy-u.com We will have modules or building blocks where there is a specific purpose in learning and applying what we have learnt. An essential part of the foundation course is to impart to all students knowledge of what is and what is not Feng Shui (e.g. superstitious beliefs). We will try to make the courses as affordable as possible and useful to everyone. At the same ti…

    1. Feng Shui has two major schools: 1.1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; 1.2. Compass School Feng Shui: Eight House and Flying Star 2. I can only comment on Para 1.1: this is a general advice forum and not a I do it for you sort of thing: It is so easy to add the compass direction, but there is a lot of work needed for such an evaluation. And often it also has to include the breadwinners date n time of birth. If you can, DIY on your own.

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned, please see attached example. Do take note that it is not necessary for SOME homes to use screens. And the attach picture should be considered a general example or broad example. 1. Purple line - manipulation of qi flow (or symbolic qi flow towards the centrepoint or the heart of the house. 2. Red - proposed location of screen. Please take note that ideally, the screen should hug or be around the same level as one side of the corridor as shown by a straight blue line. 3. Here, a half height glass panel is acceptable since, it can help to difuse light towards the main door area. 4. Since the master bedroom door is at the end of …

Dear Saroah, Sarosh B wrote: I live in a building with a Ground Floor and Four Floors above it. Sarosh B wrote: My apartment is on the Ground Floor, so is my property a Landed property or Apartment as you have mentioned 2nd floor onwards for apartment. Given that you leave in an apartment, with likely 4 different owners in floors above you, therefore it is still considered an apartment. Thus, you should still take the main door as if it is a low floor (typically is 2nd-7th level). In your case, will be ground floor to 7th floor). Hope that helps. 14. 1. What you mentioned has more to do with common sense than Feng Shui. 2. As black absorbs heat more easily than other "lighter" colours. 3. During the 1st Chinese Emperor's reign, he made his ministers and scholars wear BLACK. (To represent water element). Thus BLACK does not necessarily means or impliesinauspicious. 4. Under the I-Ching blue represent difficulty. Thus if it is not BLUE, but black.. still not an issue unless one thinks "wrongly". 5. In war time in the 1940's to 1960's, wouldn't be great if the house roof is black in colour? Natural camofluage in the dark. 6. By the way, it does not matter or rather, just because you are a strong wood and he is a weak ear…

Dear Robin, Frankly, the best advise is not to purchase a flat directly above a garage as this is inauspicious and there are no known *effective* cures i.e. in my opinion, as of now, I cannot recommend any cures for this. 16. Dear Linh, Here are the following guidelines on the toilet:- 1. Ideal situations are where the toilet bowl should not be actually on the following points:- 0 degrees - North, 45 degrees - NE, 90 degrees - East, 135 degrees - South East, 180 degrees - South, 225 degrees - South West, 270 degrees - West and 315 degrees - North West. Why? Most likely if the toilet bowl is at this location, chances are it will be on one of the Eight Trigrams which can be either an auspicious or inauspicious location. What is the definition of toilet here:- Ideally, this exact compass point should not be the location of the toilet bowl or (sewerage pipe). It is still acceptable for a basin or…

Hi Cecil i would like to seek your advise in FS which of the following is a lesser evil and easier to remediate: 1) flying star 2 & 5 landed in Master Bedroom for a Period 8 house; or 2) main door in good sector but has a bad facing in the death direction? The main consideration after you had generated the Eight House Template is where possible use a transparency. `Combine' the two of your Eight House Template on the transparency. To be distinct, use two different colour pens to write down each of your good and bad intangible influence. Here what you should do next:- 1. Find the centrepoint of each layout plan. 2. Superimpose the template on any house layout plan you are looking at. (aligned to the North So…

Secondly ask her that she mentions in all are books not to put flowers and plants in the bedroom but all the pictures of bedroom show plants and fresh flowers in the bedroom.
