Dear Jim, As mentioned in the previous message to another user. Selling a House does not really fall under Feng Shui. At best what you should do is keep the house bright and pleasing to look at and get a good real estate agent to help you advertise your home. Other than that, there is very little you can do personally to help the sales except maybe to increase your personal luck by enhancing yourself with favourable elements. This way you might be able to increase your chance of getting a suitable buyer. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

I have read that you should always keep the toilet lid closed -especially when you flush it. It may also be good to put a plant at some point between your bed and the the toilet and to try to keep the bathroom door closed as much as possible. I hope this helps. Good luck with the coming of your new baby!

I had shifted the windchimeshanging outside the main door hoping to create the sound andreceived better result with the help of the wind blowing. Will it be better, and when will be the best date for me to removed when is reaching another year? Many thanks for your time! Ocean

Hi, This has more to do with " superstition " then Feng Shui. Here goes:- Peach Blossom refers to the sweet young face of a young girl. It also signifies an easy going very ready to be seduced girl. I have not heard of Peach Luck but overall the above is the significance of the closest on Peach Luck -> Peach Blossom. Otherwise, what you mentioned may only be regarded as a superstition. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  7. Dear Cecil, thank you for your response. I do feel that the natural front ('frontage?) of my house is toward the East. I have a panorama view here over the sea and a door that leads out to the balcony. Every morning the sun rises directly to fill our whole house with light. The land in front of this door also slants down and toward a garden and finally the beach. However, I know it won't work to use this door as a main door, as it would mean walking around the house every time we want to exit and enter. However, when inside, I do basically feel that East is the front. Is it therefore, as you mentioned - possible to consider this the front of the house when attempting to d…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: But I know, my renovation of the house will include wacking of wall, making flooring and furniture from scratch. It's totally empty and not furnished yet. Yes, if based on your renovation, it does not matter if it is a period 7 house now. As the "wacking of wall", will likely convert it to a period 8 house. So what you should be doing is planning the home so that it fits the period 8 house chart to benefit from the period 8 house luck. Hope that helps. 9. Dear Glyn, Thanks very much. Robert and myself do appreciate it. Your words of encouragments will further encourage us to work harder especially on the course. Just to let you know on the progress of the course, I am currently busy reviewing the syllabus and content of the various courses under www.geomancy-u.com We will have modules or building blocks where there is a specific purpose in learning and applying what we have learnt. An essential part of the foundation course is to impart to all students knowledge of what is and what is not Feng Shui (e.g. superstitious beliefs). We will try to make the courses as affordable as possible and useful to everyone. At the same ti…

Dear Yael, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, May 10, 1999 10:07 PM Subject: living in a yacht Personally, I have not read any materials about Feng Shui for yacht. Also, because for the yacht, your directions are often changing, realistically there is no way you can even apply Flying Star or Eight House to your yacht, your boat is often changing directions. If you do want to apply Feng Shui to your yacht, the only possible theory is either Yin & Yang, Colours and Five Element. This means you can apply things like say if you are a weak wood, then obtain colour of…

Dear Joe, The main consideration is that the bamboo plant should not be allowed to grow too `large' or too tall. If you are planting the bamboo plant e.g. at your garden, `proper maintenance' is required as in time, they will expand and lots of effort are required to main the plant. My suggestion is to plant the bamboo plant in a pot. Here, the bamboo plant will be contained. Bamboo plant is symbolic of:- 1. Many Chinese poems are written on sheets of paper with drawings of bamboo paintings. 2. As the bamboo tube is used to house fire crackers or fire works, it is symbollic of good luck as fire crackers dispel evil or scare them away. 3. The leave of the bamboo bends down…

  13. Started by myfs_52721,

Dear Tom, Further to what I mentioned earlier, here are some other considerations:- 1. Symbolism is important in Feng Shui. I am not sure about natural crysals or gemstones but the shape preceeds material used. For example, for a piece of wood shaped like a pyramid, although its natural element is wood; but because it has taken the form of a pyramid, it should now be classified as a `fire element'. Alternatively, the piece of wood has been shaped like a pyramid and painted red. Here, red = fire element would also make it as a fire element. 2. Traditional Feng Shui is all about the Five elements concept: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal elements. Although, the methology…

    1. Really sorry to hear about it. (The constructions coincide withthe two of the worst sectors for this year 2010) 2. In the meantime, the best that can be done (crossing fingers) is to place "metal" between your home and the "offending" construction(s):- 2.1. Temporary purchase those aluminium foil and if windows or bay window areas at waist height face the construction then consider temporary placing aluminium foils. And for open areas (without damaging the fixtures) try to hang wind-chime to "counter" partially the issue(s). 3. As for shifting to another home:- 3.1 One major concern is hopefully the next apartment is a better one than this one else, it goes back to squ…

Hi Daniel, If you decide to attend the lillian too's conference. Can you ask her why there are so many contradiction about windchimes in her book. In one book she mentions to hang 5 rod wind chime with pagoda to press the 5 yellow and in another she mentions to use 6 rod wind chime and there are many more contradiction regarding it. Secondly ask her that she mentions in all are books not to put flowers and plants in the bedroom but all the pictures of bedroom show plants and fresh flowers in the bedroom. She mentioned that one should not put pictures of women in bedroom because it will make husbands to have roving eyes. Can you ask her it one can hang pictures of couples.…

    1. Feng Shui has two major schools: 1.1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; 1.2. Compass School Feng Shui: Eight House and Flying Star 2. I can only comment on Para 1.1: this is a general advice forum and not a I do it for you sort of thing: It is so easy to add the compass direction, but there is a lot of work needed for such an evaluation. And often it also has to include the breadwinners date n time of birth. If you can, DIY on your own.

  19. Good day, masters! I am studying Feng Shui extensively, and have been using your site to do my personal calculations. I am confused however on one particular: I live in a west group house, which is perfect for me as I am a west group person. However, the layout of my home has me facing all my 'bad directions', and my good directions, such as the southwest, are blocked by a stepladder staircase going into a hole in the floor to my bedroom level (I live in a three level loft style condominium). The good areas, such as west (where my front door is, and closet upstairs) southwest (staircase and big hole in the floor) northwest (bathroom lower floor and closet upper floor) …

  23. Dear Debbie, In general or wider sense, there is little on the topic of how we can make use of Feng Shui to sell a house. However, under the Feng Shui/Chinese Astrology, a Geomancer can find a `good' date for a person to `sell' the house. Let me elaborate:- This is through the use of the 5 elements concept under the Pillars of Destiny. For example, if you are a person whose main element is " Weak Water ". Each particular day and even time, is governed by an element. Not to complicate matters, its assume that today is governed by the ` Water element ". Since today's element is Water, Water will improve your Weak Water and this is considered your favourable day. More compli…

  25. Dear Linh, Here are the following guidelines on the toilet:- 1. Ideal situations are where the toilet bowl should not be actually on the following points:- 0 degrees - North, 45 degrees - NE, 90 degrees - East, 135 degrees - South East, 180 degrees - South, 225 degrees - South West, 270 degrees - West and 315 degrees - North West. Why? Most likely if the toilet bowl is at this location, chances are it will be on one of the Eight Trigrams which can be either an auspicious or inauspicious location. What is the definition of toilet here:- Ideally, this exact compass point should not be the location of the toilet bowl or (sewerage pipe). It is still acceptable for a basin or…
