Dear Carlos, 1. The Sigil of Saturn is the movement of the Luo Shu grid as shown in the url below:- http://sg.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-tortise.htm 2. You can trace the movement by sketching the movement in the above url's centre chart from the centre position:- 3. Do trace out the movement from " 5 (Five) to 6 (Six) to 7 (Seven) to 8 (Eight) to 9 (Nine). And from 9 (Nine) jump to 1 (One) to 2 (Two) to 3 (Three) to 4 (Four)." 4. If you have traced this movement, (from the centre): this is the how the Sigil of Saturn will look like. 5. This is in-fact the Flying Star Feng Shui. Where the centre number refers to the Period. 6. Thus under Period 7, the Number 7 is p…

Dear All 1. As mentioned earlier, the key sucess factor in applying one of the principles of the Five elements is to try to harmonise the use of it. 2. For example, it is not ideal to place two elements e.g. Fire element and Water element `next to each other'. 3. Here, if we refer to the Five Elements concept, we should introduce a third element e.g. Wood element. 4. Under the Productive Element flow, we will now get: Water -> Wood (the above missing element)-> Fire. 5. I find the best example for understanding the productive cycle of the five elements is the following:- Assuming this house or office is at the ground level. If one looks out of the house or office, t…

Hi, Cecil. Thank you for your answer. I believe, though, that the way I described the screen was ambiguous. I meant hat the vertices of the panels of the screen were pointing at the dingin table where we sit. Do you see what I mean? \/\/\/\/\screen ____ |____|table I also wanted to ask you: sometimes, blue is said to be wood and sometimes, water. Sometimes, brown is said to be wood and toerhs earth. Which is it? I read that water fourntians in the center of a home can be harmful becasue it drains away qi. SI this true? My final question: There's a building in Hong kong that sits on a hill and has a big square hole through the center of it. It looks like this from the front…

Dear Cecil, Today I went to Chinese art shops to find bottle gourds. All I found are attached with pictures such as swastika, Kwan Im, Ba Gua & Tiger. What do you think about the pictures on them? Some of them have holes at the top. I bought one with Kwan Im picture. I think it is more neutral than one with Ba Gua & Tiger pictures. However, mine doesn't have a hole at the top. Should I make one hole? Does size matter? Thanks in advance. Thank you for your reply. Regarding drawing the sectors, our unit is an elongated rectangle, so there is a difference if I draw wedges or 9 rectangles. For instance, according to the 9 rectangles all of my son's room is in the south, whereas by the wedges radiating from the center at least half of it is in the southwest. My question about the computer was, how to decide in which sector to put it and which direction it should face, if the different users have different good or bad sectors or directions? Should I make it best for the person who spends the most hours at it? Or for the person who is in charge of technical maintenance and knows the most about it? Thank you Mir…

What I wondered was, if most of the parts are made of glass (only one metal rod, and the rest are glass squares), does this make it more similar to the water element? Especially since it is in a blue color? Do the six glass squares represent the metal element because of the number 6? Would it be better to buy this style of wind chime in the purple color (fire element) so as not to add too much water to the wood elements 3 and 4 found in this sector? Or is the blue color ok because water and metal go together? If I bought one of the chimes with metal rods but not having the right number of rods (having, say, 3, 4 or 5 rods) what would be the effect of that? What is preferr…

Recently I was in a store that sells decorative items, and I saw some items using copies of the "ancient Chinese coins" with the square hole in the middle. However, these coins were of various sizes, some very large and some very small, and arranged in different ways not similar to what you have shown in this site. I was thinking of buying one of these items and taking it apart to use the coins from it in the proper arrangement. Is it important what size these coins are? Is there a minimum size or a standard size? How can I tell if the coins I saw are ok to use for this purpose? Miriam

Dear Cecil, Can you define, what can be a screen (i.e what material) For instance can a plastic / cloth screen running the entire length of the kitchen door, can evade the inauspicious effect of the "Kitchen Door" facing the "Main Door". The problem is that I have a one room flat, where I do not have any leverage to do any structural alteration. Kind Regards, A. Vincent

Dear Cecil, I thank you for your quick response. I did take note of your 2 sets of illustrations and the frontage of the lot and did understand that acceptable does not mean favorable. I was relieved when I tumbled to your website and to see the illustrations in your Chapter 10 - that narrower front/wider back w/ front house facing narrow front is not categorized as unfavorable like the one book I read. That book does make the distinction. It presents such a lot as unfavorable but it does draw a house sitting right along the narrow front ie. along the street. Would you please explain a little more on this frontage relation to the trapezoid (item 6.4 above of your reply) …

I have a similar problem. My best direction is east (3), but there is not really enough room in the bedroom to do this (leaves only about 15 inches to walk at the foot of the bed). Room is n-s longest, but window is on north, where head of bed would go; master bath is on south wall; built in closet on west wall. How do I remedy north head of bed? Or should I just remedy the small walking space at the foot of the bed, with head of the bed east instead?

Further to what I mentioned, for the House Number for apartments or known as Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui, it is best to note the following: 1. In numerology, there are so many different methods of interpretation. 2. The best use of this House Number for apartments report is basically in chosing apartments within the same block. For example, if it is a new development. And if several floors are still available within the same block. If units #03-xxx, #05-xxx or #12-xxx are still available. Then one can use this report to check which apartment is a better choice. Other than this, as mentioned earlier, there are lots of interpretation and methodology of numerology. And di…

Thatk you for your answer. My building is built in 1975 - period 6 and the FS for my son's bedroom (bedroom is on the West sector)are: 4MS/8BS/8WS. In that combination is yellow carpet OK for him (weak earth person)? You said the red (fire element) is more a acceptable. I know, but how much red I have to put in his room? 33,3% of whole room, or some details will be OK? Like you see, the bedroom is on the West (metal element), Metal exhaust Earth... I have a blanket for his bed in yellow/dark-red color combination... Dark-red - is that still fire element? I am sorry to bother you, but it is very important for me. Thank you in advance, Dragana

  19. Further to what I had mentioned, 1. Authentic Feng Shui, Chinese divinity methods and Chinese medicine, food etc.. revolves around the Five elements concept. 2. Each day can be classified into strong or weak element. E.g. strong water element. 4. Further to what I had mentioned; For the surface area of your `Feng Shui friendly' tables or for anyone wanting to manufacture Feng Shui friendly tables can use this explanation:- (One Feng Shui foot is nearly equal to an imperial foot. One Feng Shui foot is roughly equal to 43 cms.) Description of tables with multiples of 17 inches (lenght x width):- THE MAGICAL 17 INCH FACTOR "One Feng Shui foot was derived from the side of a square, where the length of the diagonal of a square is the square root of two. In the West, this is known as the `magic square'. Thus multiples of 17 inches will translate to several square foot of the optimium auspicious width. " Warmest Regar…

Dear Anon, 1. The best way to understand web sites that promote: e.g. Helpful/travel, fame and reputation is to check out their PRODUCTS page. 2. In my opinion, in many or most situations, you will invariably see some or even many types of goods (at very high mark-up price) with the aim of making profits out of everyone. 3. This is especially in the USA: If we ever want to consult a FS practitioner in your area; ask this question:- "Is your FS fees fixed?" This is because, the FS fees may be stated at US$150, but when the FS practitioner comes, he/she may cart along a full suitcase of "valuable" FS items. At the end of the session, your total audit bill may come to as muc…

Further to what I had mentioned, 1. I can only think of one acceptable logic for placing a piggy bank at a prominent location: this has more to do with psychology. 2. Usually, if someone tells us that a specific location is our wealth corner; we would consciously try to keep the place clear of other items. 3. And often when we pass thru this location, we may either sublimally think of money (earning money) or happy seeing money on our table. 4. Other than this explanation, it does not mean literally, by doing so, e.g. placing multiple $50 dollars or more notes or stacking fake notes into this bowl or piggy bank. Money cannot automatically fall down a hole thru the sky la…

  25. Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, this is known as the `coffin' position. This is actually where a dead person was brought home into the home and his/her dead body would face a door. (Really to be carried away) when the funeral possession starts. This is not exactly an `exciting' location to be in. Warmest Regars, Cecil
