Further to what I had mentioned earlier, I do not favour floor tiles for the entire house with the checked design (sample shown attached) nor floor tiles entirely black in colour especially for the entire living room area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Presently my Guanyin and ancestor tablet altar table is at location "A" which is facing the kitchen and the main door, and the area is quite dim. I would like to change to location 'E' at the balcony in the NW area facing south. I have check the afternoon sun which is coming from SW , which does not shine on the Guanyin or ancestor tablet.. Our floor is low level and shielded by the opposite block, no direct sunray coming in . Thanks.

Frankly, in my opinion, one needs more than that to really change to another Period. Thus, I feel that it is not sufficient.

Dear Hendra, Most likely, your Feng Shui Master, is applying the Eight House or East/West group person's to find the best sleeping direction for you. Often, this has to be done in conjuction with the study of the bedroom (Shapes and Forms, first). And, if it is nice to have sleeping along a good direction. Here, the Eight House/4 East/West group, is part of the Compass School of Feng Shui. Therefore, sounds, reasonable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Cecil, If I change 20 pieces of roof tiles and lay new floor tiles, but do not change the main door. Will my house fly into period 8? Need your advice urgently. Thanks & Regards, Fiona

Dear anon, No this would normally be not enough to fly to the new period. If possible, once some of the tiles are removed, leave it (perhaps, use a clear plastic sheet) to cover the missing area but generally one may have to place it back around 100 days later. Usually the morepromising thing is to do a major renovation. Thus, in my opinion, it is really a waste of time and money changing the main door since the frame is not changed at all. Besides this, a celebration or inviting a lion dance etc... would help... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janice, Yes, I agree with your observation. Not only is KL talking about it. Nearly every audit I do now, I would make sure that I have covered both periods! Therefore, it also affects Geomancy.net as not only we are busy but we need to do twice the work (for the same pay!) Frankly, it is good to look at both charts so that clients can or stick to the existing period. Therefore, not only is KL talking, Singapore is talking, Australia, US and nearly every one is talking about ithttp://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_smile.gif To do a symbolic flying to a new period, I hope you can do a search in this forum. I believe there are already many messages and also a c…

Dear Kathleen, 1. Frankly, Feng Shui is never meant to be used as a marketing tool. 2. The only think that Feng Shui can help is that if the house has good Feng Shui attributes, and if the buyer can be `convinced' that it has good Feng Shui for them, this would be an added advantage. 3. Some Feng Shui practitioners who use basic or elementary Feng Shui, would suggest one paint the main door Red or pink. To them, they feel that it would hasten the sale of the house. In my opinion, there is no proof that it would work. Worse, as the first impression counts, a red or pink door may even be a turn off for some people. (The rational for pink or red is the belief that red or pi…

Dear Fiona, Yes, it is OK to change the ground floor roof tiles. But, where possible, it should not leave the altar exposed as this is considered inauspicious (symbollically disrespectful to the "gods"). If the roof tiles on the second floor is dirty, than, this can be included as part of the means to try to fly to the next period. Warmest Regards, Cecil

If you have the time, please read this resource by Robert Lee:- Extract from this link APPLYING LOCATION FACTOR INTO BA ZI 3. Using GMT time zone is a bad way to apply the location factor, because GMT timezone only affects the longitude changes. Furthermore, GMT has been simplified so much so it is no longer as accurate as in the past. 4. Our stand on this issue is NOT to add these level of complication to the analysis. Meaning that you should just use your local time (regardless of what country), to analyse the Ba Zi. This is because if you truly understand how the Ba Zi works, the HOUR pillar will not make a maj…

1. You see, I spoke too soon! 1.1 I just used the Google search; typed in: stove and sink... and this thread was googled 6 hours ago... 1.2 You don't even need to be a member or login to this forum. It is universally readable especially from big search engines. Yahoo would also be doing the same soon or by now already... 2. Others.... Not all messages are approved... For those who have the wrong ideas; this is a moderated forum. All postings need approval. In fact, it is not possible to reply to all messages. And unfortunately for every forum message approved; 3 others are not.

Dear Dongbin hu, dongbin hu wrote: My house has a patio door on the back of the guest room but doesn't have a back door. My husband is planning to change his office's window to a back door in case of fire. I've heard that change window to door isa big 'no no' in FengShui so I'd likesome advice from Feng Shui experts on our case. Generally, when you change a door or window, the Qi of the house will likely be affected. Especially, if the door or window happens to be the frontage/backdoor location. It would appear that the window you are attempting to change will fall in the badkdoor area. So yes, it would affect the feng shui of the house. Thus, it is best you carefully …

Dear Gray Thay, Gary Thay wrote: I brought HDB unit in period 7 and I painted all the Ceiling in 2004, does that put my unit into Period 8 ? The problem here is that painting all the ceiling is only a symbolic action in order to attempt to emulate a major renovation of removing the roof of a house. So itisn't truly a major renovation. So it will take time (sometimes 1 year) for your house Qito convert to the period 8. Usually, if you want to expedite the change, you may need to have a few major celebrations in the house to attempt to quicken the change over to the new period. Hope that helps. Dear Jo Jo, Currently, I have clients that have changed to Period 8 with "mixed-results". For example, I met a business client and after having changed to Period 8 (NW3) and because their office premises can place a large water feature at water star #8 and in the MD's room, which is directly at that opposite back, with a mountain #8. The MD mentioned that after the renovations, his sales improved greatly and even a division that did not do well, had a great change. However, for another client, who is running a child-care centre from a private landed home, (a smaller place) did not make major changes, had not improved. Thus, generally, it is more important that …

Thank you so much for your explanation. For the conservative believe, we must change the foundation in order to get the change of house period, but base on your own experience, what else we can do to get the house period really changed. Thank you so much.
