General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. These ae some of the considerations:- 1. Do a search in this forum for "altar" and there are many resources on this topic. For example:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27987&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27336&new= 2. Attach a copy of your current layout plan with a simple sketch of where your current altar is and if possible also say the living room sitting arrangement(s) ... so that I can take a look at it.

If Feng Shui is to be considered, you may have missed issues especially with Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. For example, how the drainage flows out of the home to external surroundings, etc....and many other such factors need to be considered. What we have now is the disappointments with Flying Star Feng Shui. Time and again, I mentioned that even if one scores 100 marks under Flying star, bbut all else "crumbles" outside the four walls, the result can be failure.

Please see attachment. Irina M. wrote: Dear Cecil, Please see attached the plan of my flat. For the purpose of finding the centre of the plan, can you please advise: 1) Is terrace considered to be the 'living' area? I have a table with 2 chairs on it. 2)The sticking out parts on top of the plan (bath and bedroom closet) - are these protrusions, or is the area between them a missing part? Many thanks, Irina

  4. These are some considerations:- 1. Yes, too limited information. Usually, a Flying Star chart is plotted to determine what flying star numbers are within that sector especially for your home & it is also good to check what flying star numbers are at the neighbour's main door area (also). 2. A blessing is that hopefully; no one places things like ba gua mirrors on either main door which can result in a "ba gua war". 3. Last resort is like many; "slam-shut" the main door = minimal interaction with a neighbour.

  5. Additional resources:- The Theme: "When the buying stops; the selling can" http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=17&mid=23756&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=27804&new=

Please see my previous posting. Go seek Professional advice. As there is a limit to posting such a question. CLUE: all the available facts must be known: not imagined nor plucked from the air. These are some considerations:- 1. It is always best that you engage a professional to do the on-site assessment. 2. Like you mention, there is also a difference between water moving from left to right or right to left of the exact home or development; also taking into consideration things like the external drains (if any) and the external landscaping. 3. Another consideration is the plot vs neighbour's plot and any other visible water positions within the site and estate / gr…

    1. It is Nice-to select a good date to perform the first-time open door procedure. 2. As this procedure applies to the breadwinners: usually Husban and wife; then, feel free to e-mail to: support@geomancy.net with Name / Gender / Date and Time of birth (western dates will do). If lunar dates, must make a comment/remarks. 3. Once I receive this, you can go and view the private link of the Combined auspicious dates and timing. Can advise you further; should that day of "inspection" is not auspicious or otherwise. 1. In my opinion, it is best to get expert help. 2. In your country, especially if can check around and perhaps; have people can recommend a geomancer to visit your home to review the feng shui is the best option. 3. Alternatively, you can consider off-site Feng Shui services. 4. Generally, what you had mentioned is pretty common and many professional Feng Shui geomacers should be able to address your concerns. Further to what I had mentioned, for the benefit of users, here who do not know what is 9 star ki; In general, 9 star ki was exported to Japan. And from there; it was re-exported especially to Europe and is popular with some UK practitioners. These are some of older links on the differences between 9 star ki and Ba zi & more:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=5276&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=22434&new= Although 9 Star Ki has it's origins from China; it is difficult to mix Traditional Feng Shui with 9 Star Ki. Frankly, determining an industry or job specification is based on a certain mastery of the Five Elements Concept and also Mandarin characters. In some sense, your question is like: why are there only 5 elements: metal, water, wood, fire and earth? This sort of question. Anonymous wrote: Thank you very much for answering my query re career element. May I ask also, what are the characteristics of a metal element career? I understand that a metal career would include finance, entertainment, politics etc...what do they have in common? Thank you once again for sharing your time and expertise. Have a great day !

Thanks for the quick reply master. Btw is it really necessary to bring the stove (guo huo lo)? If yes, can use the portable gas type? Is it necessary to pray to "Tu Di Gong"? 1. I was told to bring the huo lo (gas lo also can), then every household member cross over it and must not be empty handed. (if cannot be empty handed, then what must we bring exactly) 2. Once enter the house, on all the lights, aircon and fan. Open the window and boil water. 3. sorry if this sounds stupid, Must i bring my dog along for the moving in ritual since he's considered part of the family?

  19. Hi Master Cecil My unit has a layout almost similar to Lawrence's one. In Lawrence case his unit has a balcony whereas mine is a lanai. So it only has windows rather than an exposed balcony. So in this case I wonder if it is discouraged to have the altar place in lanai area considering it doesn't have balcony features? Thank you.

  20. 1. Especially these few months, don't be surprised with more flooding and tree uprooting! 2. You never know! Even your neighbour's partition could (may) come crashing down due to the heavy monsoon winds! 3. If the winds can bring down the partition once, most likely it can bring it down twice or thrice! If so, I strongly believe the neighbours would give up having such a partition! Pray Hard.. it may just come true! WARNING: ABOUT THIS CARICATURE:IF SUCH A THING REALLY OCCUR; IT IS PURELY CO-INCIDENTAL AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE AT ALL FOR IT.

  21. Further to what I had mentioned; this is another link to another "type" of ba gua mirror. URL: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=25888&new= Apparently, this version is the latest version that has both the conVEX mirror and the ba gua trigram together. As mentioned, your purpose is to "deflect" or neutralise the sha qi from the street lamp. And it is not compulsory to add the ba gua trigram. As the main purpose of the ba gua trigram is to or suppose to "scare away evil spirits". That's all.

Based on Traditional Compass School of Feng Shui:- You can browse this link for the various free reports:-http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports.htm The specific report that you should be looking at based on the compass direction is: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-sleep-position.htm 2. These are some considerations:- 1. From your sketch; the lamp post does not seem to slice thru your main gate. 2. In such a situation, the sha qi from the lamp post is not a threat to your main gate area even if it is a sliding type. 3. Since it is not a threat to the main gate; from a Feng Shui point of view; there is no need to replace or update your main gate; other than for asthethic or cosmetic reasons.
