Further to what I had mentioned, if the glass blocks are squarish or rectangular - piled together to form a "wall", this is OK. Do avoid circular glass blocks - much like the pothole of a ship or those found on a ship i.e. circular windows. Here, circle is considered not auspicious especially since it could symbolise a "sinking" ship. Where, the pothole of a ship seeps in water and thus sinks a ship. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are some considerations: 1. The famous saying Rome is not built in a day. 1.1 Neither can an ANSWER can be immediately given to someone who says "Any remedy for this?" 2.Please note that there are so many concepts and principles. Furthermore, the following are cruicial: STEP 1: Feng Shui Triage Proper trouble-shooting is required. OTHERS: Fix-the-Leak, First! Easily three or more major problems. The Concept of Maximizing Marks Hopefully from a FAIL to a PASS or better! The Customer Engineer Concept If you D.I.Y. make sure you read this!

These are some of the considerations: 1. In general; it is best not to use BLUE colour even if it is light blue in a kitchen. This is on the extra-safe-side. While BLACK or grey can be considered as generally - neutral - or OK. 2. Besides the texture or colour of the kitchen laminates; the next largest metal element in a kitchen is actually a refrigerator. As when it is in a closed position; it's external "mass" is one big metal element. Thus frige in white or silver or grey are often a safe-bet.

Dear Cecil, Today I went to Chinese art shops to find bottle gourds. All I found are attached with pictures such as swastika, Kwan Im, Ba Gua & Tiger. What do you think about the pictures on them? Some of them have holes at the top. I bought one with Kwan Im picture. I think it is more neutral than one with Ba Gua & Tiger pictures. However, mine doesn't have a hole at the top. Should I make one hole? Does size matter? Thanks in advance. Dear Lisa, 1. Using Flying Star and other forms of Feng Shui is basically to enhance our earth luck i.e. the luck of our home. 2. There are many other forms of `luck' such as: 2.1 Personal Luck 2.2 Luck derived from our `Heaven luck' or Pillars of Destiny. 2.3 Earth Luck thru understanding and usage of Feng Shui i.e. earth luck of the home. In order for us to be lucky or increase our luck, the above `luck factors' are taken into consideration. 2.2 is the other `method' of trying to increase our `Heaven luck'. The main idea is to increase all our luck factors and this would give us a chance to get things `done' smoothly. 3. The other factor is knowing our element and stren…

These are some considerations: 1. HDB Units face the lift door. 1.1. In my opinion, again, this is one of those things that has more to do with common sense. Thus, some claim such things to be (common sense) Feng Shui. 1.2. Just imagine, if one's main entrance is opened and the interior is in full or partial view of people stepping out of a lift. 1.3. Depending on the density of units that this lift serves as well as human traffic density that uses this lift; most people would feel uncomfortable with many people looking into your home. 1.4. Worse still, many are strangers such as friends, relatives and sometimes those pesky sales person. 1.5. Some feel that because of so …

  10. General observations:- 1. Rough estimate is that most of the units are of Flying Star: Period 8, NE 1 or SW1. 2. Just be careful of sharp edges from another unit (stack). For example, stack 20; may have an edge or corner that is aimed towards stack 14 (perhaps a bedroom window) or vice versa. Stack 24 with 18. 3. As usual, best not to have afternoon sun soaking into master bedroom walls or thru windows of living, bedroom(s). 4. Again, club house roof fans out creating a sha qi particularly of concern is for stack 29 (less of a concern for stack 28). Thus depending on how high the roof is, avoid having it slice towards the window level of lower floor - stack 29. …

Dear Anon, 1. There should not be an issue here. Some Feng Shui practioners believe that electrical items such as washing machine or dryer that shakes should not be placed at an auspicious sector. If it is an inauspicious sector this is good. As the shaking will drive away, the auspiciousness. 2. With the various forms of Feng Shui available, Para 1 is of secondary importance. More importantly, if one fully understands the purpose and limitations of each Feng Shui theory or concepts, this will instead, put to good use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anita, Thanks for bring up this interesting question. We will first begin by looking at the `history' of Feng Shui in China. In the past, Chinese were mostly into agricuture (farmers ) and live-stock rearing. What this means is that food was obtain from the land. Eaten, and left overs were `re-cycled' e.g. as some of them they rear pigs, these "garbage" were given to the pigs to be eaten. Manure or other `solid' wastes were used to fertilise the land. From the above, you will notice that they (ancient Chinese) do not have what we have now... " garbage " in the form of non-biodegradable products etc..... Overall, Feng Shui is used to assess: in the above case of a hom…

    1. Frankly, if it is a bedroom wall, this (on it's own) is considered as an actual mountain vs a situation where it is an opened window. 2. Thus, the only person that you will make them happy by tiling or rock/stoning the wall is the contractor that does it for you. Here, they would be most happy to accomodate your requests as this means making some money from you. 3. Drawing a parallel, just this Tuesday morning, when I visited an existing client, as she requested for an annual review, she bought some Feng Shui articles from some shop. And the shop told her that she must not reuse certain items as the shop wanted her to buy more of it from them! 4. Actually, a mountai…

Dear Glyn, Either the chimney be left alone or at the most cover the top and the ground level. Avoid filling the chimney fully as this will involving adding more `earth' element in the house i.e. if you are using earth element e.g. sand etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee P.S. Congratulations Glyn! I believe, you are the first to incorporate Chinese Numerlogy as an additional tool combined with other tools such as Earth Luck: Feng Shui, Heaven Luck: Pillars of Destiny. Dear Joe, In tradtional Feng Shui, here are the points related to the stove:- 1. The Kitchen is an important component of ahouse as this is where food is being prepared. It will help to ensure good health for the family. 2. The emphasis here is on the position of the stove. In anicient China, building a stove was a very grand affair where an auspcious date and time. This includes the position of the stove. 3. In traditional Feng Shui, preferably, the position of the stove should compliment the spouse (wife). Ideally, it should be placed at one of her inauspicious location but facing the auspicious direction. 4. One " hidden area " to check is to see that water pipes do no…

Dear Master Cecil I've attached more photos for your reference (Shapes & Forms - more photos.jpg) If we view from inside the frontal locationarea towards its facing direction, it has a beautiful scenic view of the mountains in front (pls refer to View from inside Front Porch.jpg). I suppose these are very negative aspects in terms of Shapes & Forms found in these photos?? (1) Even though the house is on higher ground, it'ssitting by the side along a sloping road (a 2-way road), one going up slope, the other down slope. (2) There's an open drainage that runs outside the frontalwall as shown in the photo. (3) There's also a small drainage in the front compound that…

  23. 1. Bigger picture where qi is suppose to come-into the home: Then under Flyng Star Feng Shui, one should determine where is the most "yang" qi that enters into the home. 1.1 Here, it may either be the main door i.e. standing inside the main door taking a reading out or usually it is the row of windows often with the most rooms where often again, the living room windows are. 2. For the interior layout plan, one should if possible look at some of these considerations: 2.1. Try to avoid kitchen especially the stove at North-West compass direction. Here, it is the centrepoint of the home, taking a reading towards NW direction. 2.2. Eight Mansions / Eight House to find hom…

  24. Hi Cecil I have to install an ancestor altar table but I realise those ready made are higher than my existing table. I saw the fengshui ruler for yin. My current Guan Yin table height is 126cm with side wings but actual height is 115cm. I need to custom made a table lower than 117cm. Is 112cm ideal for ancestor table or should be be same height as 117cm. Appreciate your advise. Thank you.
