Dear Anon, 1. There should not be an issue here. Some Feng Shui practioners believe that electrical items such as washing machine or dryer that shakes should not be placed at an auspicious sector. If it is an inauspicious sector this is good. As the shaking will drive away, the auspiciousness. 2. With the various forms of Feng Shui available, Para 1 is of secondary importance. More importantly, if one fully understands the purpose and limitations of each Feng Shui theory or concepts, this will instead, put to good use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ng Chiew Kiat, I believe you are trying to ask whether you can just enter the date of birth of the club in the ba zi report, am I right? Well, not really. The ba zi is for pesonal luck, you cannot use it in the same way for the establishment of a business or club. Though, it was a really good way of looking at it. But it will not work that way. You can only assess the feng shui but not the luck of the business/club/establishment. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi, Please read below:- Under the shapes and forms theory, if you cannot see it is not a problem. So under this theory, I personally feel that you do not really need to worry. However, for safety reasons, I think that you should still make sure it is safe enough to go into the basement without any mishap. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Jacqueline, When one tries to apply the Five Elements concept to a sector of a room, ideally, it should be referenced with the Flying Star Theory. This is because, the Flying Star Theory, uses the five elements to analyse each sector and the ultimate aim here is to create a balance at this sector. Thus it does not matter if your coal fire faces north and postulate whether it takes on `fire' etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Caroline, For now, we can only look at it from the Shapes and Form perspective. 1. The plus point in such an arrangement is that there is no way, you have `bad sha qi' where Qi enters the house and exits it immediately e.g. a back door or back windows or balcony at the other side. 2. As you mentioned that it `blocks' the guest bathroom, this would be acceptable. Although, it would be nice if we do not have a bathroom so close to the main entrance sector. Other than the above, you may choose to do a Flying Star or if everything seems ok, dispense with such an audit. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Daranee, Frankly, it is perfectly ok since if one look at a it from a proper perspective, it does wonders for human or man factors. Although, the text book case of this situation being inappropriate under earth luck, but if it truely comforts your parent. Then this is perfectly fine. In fact, human or man luck factors often overrights any earth luck factors or feng shui. Therefore, do let your father have his way since it truely brings him comfort for the time being. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, Thanks for bring up this interesting message. Here it is good to understand why: " 3 metal coins are used. " Again, we have to make reference to the Five Elements concept:- 1. The number 3 represents Big Wood or Strong Wood. Number 4 represents Small Wood. 2. Copper coins represent the metal element. 3. Why not use 4 coins instead of 3 coins? 4. In a few previous Feng Shui messages, Robert mentioned that one definition of `Wealth' is where e.g. if one where to look at the destructive elements. The element that destroys the element (in front of it) will result in producing wealth. 5. For example, given your message the use of 3 coins, this implies that as metal…

Dear Roeland, Roeland de Looff wrote: On different Feng Shui sites I seesets of 6 I Ching coins advertised. An example is the below: http://www.fengshui-emporium.com/C04.htm Would this be an example of a working remedial measure for the 5? Yes, that is considered one of the traditional 6 coins so it can be used. The use of 6 singapore coins is only possible in singapore (for those who cannot obtain the normal 6 coins). However, sometimes it is best to also make sure the colour scheme within that sector doesn't contain too much Fire (red) or Earth (Yellow). Best to keep such sectors which need metal (white) if possible. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert L…

Dear Cecil Lee, I have just moved into a rectangular rental that has a protrusion in the North (covered carport). After reviewing the building page, the explanation would be positive as it says - If the protrusion is at:-North : Can easily make friends. Because I follow Flying Stars feng shui school, does this mean that the NE and NW are still missing? A consultant told me to bury 8 copper coins to square off the NE, but did not provide any information on the cure for the NW. Can you help with some advise on what I can do to cure these areas? I am a KUA #5/8 female Thank you Art

Edited by Robert: In future, for urgent advise please use the Auspicious Date service, as this is no longer a free advise nor do we provide urgent reponse in our forum. Also, our auspicious date is very personalised, so you need the date and time of birth of the parties involved to get you a date. I am Ox, my husband is Pig, my son is Rabbit and my daughter is Horse. We are collecting key for our new house this Friday. Is it a suitable day? Are there any rituals that we have to perform?

Dear J T, jt88 88 wrote: Is it neccessary to collect keysfor a new home on a auspicious day? I found that the day of collection is an inauspicious dayfrom My Fengshui report site. Thank you. Selecting an auspicious date is just to find a date that has as little inauspicious influence to your ba zi. This is to ensure that you have a good start that is all. So it is entirely up to individual whether or not they want to find a good date or not. Of course, if possible it is always recommended to find a good date to collect key, to perform initial opening ceremony, move-in, start of renovation etc. All this is just to ensure that everything will go smoothly. Nothing more. …

Dear Laura, I must admit that I find myself somewhat perplexed by this situation. I apologize for expressing this sentiment. This forum currently contains over 11,000 messages. If you take the time to attend two specialized conferences—such as Photo Tours of Interests (which includes photographs), Singapore Property, or Can or Cannot Buy—I am confident that your message will be well-received. It is my belief that messages shared in General conferences, such as Discuss:: Free Advice (General Feng Shui), should provide you with tangible examples. I earnestly hope that the standard of research is not one that requires individuals to be excessively guid…

Dear Jason, Thanks for your description. Usually, since you are only staying in a room, try not to keep it cluttered with too many things. The main important layout would be your study table and your bed. Currently, as your room, I would imagine is small, you really cannot apply much of Feng Shui other than: 1. Under the Eight House theory, you an see if your study table is facing one of the auspicious directions. 2. Depending on the time of day and your study habits, you should either create a more Yang environment especially if you are studying late at night. One consideration is the fish tank. In many cases, a FS practioner would advise one not to place the fsh tank t…

In my opinion, it depends on whether a person is a strong or weak element. A person who has a strong element; e.g. strong water, strong wood, strong earth etc.. can utilise the 'destructive' cycle in your own words "for coloring". For example: a strong earth person: wood element (green or brown) can be used to destroy earth to create what is called "Power and Authority" for that person. And as a strong earth person's wealth element is Water.

Dear Anon, In the past, the most common is the wood Hulu or original wood dried ones. However, in modern times (last few years) it is also common to find brass (gold looking) ones which represent the metal element. These two are if one wants to consider -- the two most "authentic" ones because of the following:- 1. It is often used or placed at locations with #2 or #5. Both are strong earth element. 2. Thus under the Five elements concept: ref: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm 2.1 Under the productive cycle, metal destroys earth. Thus, many of those used to at #5 or #2 are made of metal such as brass / copper which resembles gold colour. …

In real life situation and not in a far fetched, utopian world; under Feng Shui:- Metal can be represented by white and gold. White can also be considered as a "neutral" colour. For example, in the past, either sandstone or lime is used to plaster walls. And lime is = white. And white is a very common colour. Gold is "tricky" colour. As you had mentioned, many of the near pure gold wedding rings are "yellowish". Thus, some people, may consider "yellow" as gold. However, usually, one can or may try totell, by looking at say a curtain. Some curtains are silky smooth yellowish - much closer to gold colour. While some curtains are just plain yellowish. Orange colour is a…

Dear Colleen, 1. For questions such as what colour should my bedroom be or what colours suits me you should make use of the your Personal Element Free report to determine your personal element. Eg. weak wood Would mean that your favourable elements are water & wood. Water => blue, black, gray Wood => green, brown So generally you can make use of these as your favourable colours. 2. For painting colours in a house. Generally, our advice is to leave it white (as it represents metal which is the most common cure for most problem). However, other colours are off-white colours which will make the house bright. Do not use dark colours eg. dark red, dark blue, instead …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I'm setting up new biz and would like to know what color is suitable for my company logo. I'm in electrical trading & installation works. Understand yellow, grey and blue are suitable colors. Pls comment on this. Electrical Trading often deals with wires (Metal), while installation works is more Wood as it involves creating electrical setup/frame work for the house. So I have to classify your business as more Metal/Wood elements. Typically, when we want to create more suitable colours we go :- 1. Adding elements that will make the elements stronger. ie. for Metal to grow, you add Earth (yellow). For Wood to grow, you add Water (blue/blac…
