  1. These are some of the considerations:- 1. Feng Shui and Commonsense. 2. Yes, you are already aware that under Feng Shui; a home at a"T-junction" is unfortunately, not the best choice. 3. However, it also depends on things like: 3.1. How fast the vehicles can or may travel on such a road and it also depends on Right-hand-drive (RHD) or Left-hand-drive (LHD) road. As the way, the vehicle turn-in and out of the T-junction also applies. 3.2. For example, when we stand at the front gate area of the home. How "fast" and whether does vehicles are "aimed" towards your property before it turns is another consideration. Here, under commonsense; we hope that sincerely; one…

Dear Viviana, Hope you can elaborate what you mean by "carrier zone." Are you refering to " Career ". Presently, there is no known effective cures for a staircase at the centre of the house. You may consider:- 1. One or two potted plants at the ground level. 2. This is optional and you may need to monitor but one can place a mirror a the staircase landing. (This is a traditional `cure'). Warmest Regards, Cecil

You may want to go thru this link especially the part about: How one can boost one's Human Luck. http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=26690 In essence: some of us may not have luck from heaven (ie. no favourable ba zi luck) and also no auspicious Feng Shui luck? How? Make an effort to lead a fruitful life: eg. filial piety to parents; provide a greater listening ear to family members and colleagues .....

Dear Helen, Sorry for the delay in response. You can use `metal' element to counteract the timber as metal destroys wood. You can place e.g. metal tin `circular' metal tin foil on each beam:- 1. Stick 6 metal tin foils or 6 coins on each timber piece. The coins can be any coins e.g. diameter can be 2.5 cm or more. Chinese " ancient " coins (those with square holes in the centre are equally acceptable. If you use the " ancient " coins you can string them with red string and stick them on each beam. 2. What is the purpose? 6 coins represents Big Metal and is used to counter wooden beams. Under the 5 elements concept, Metal destroys Wood. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Master Lee, Thank you very much for your time and advice. Very detailed explanation. Regarding the screen you suggested, does the screen need to be as wide as the door ? I know that, it must be at least the same height as the door. e.g. Can the screen be half the size of the door's width ? http://198.66.6.160/1.jpg ? Or must the width of the screen be at least the same as the door ? http://198.66.6.160/2.jpg ? Thank you. Regards, Ken wrote in message news:12935.6652@forum.geomancy.net...

Hi, Apologise for the late reply. As this message is posted as an anonymous, we do not receive the posting to the mailing list. Most of the books I know of are in traditional chinese. I have yet to come across any Feng Shui books in simplified chinese. You will have to source them out yourself. The books written by Cecil are currently in available in English. 10. Dear Karen, 1. Honestly, there is not much that can be done in such a situation. 2. According to the Commonsense approach to Feng Shui, the primary concern is the increased likelihood of a fire originating from the kitchen. Therefore, it is generally not advisable to have a bedroom, door, or wall adjacent to the kitchen. However, in contemporary settings, the installation of fire sprinklers (or, if unavailable, the strategic placement of smoke detectors) is highly recommended. 3. If your residence is constructed with brick walls (or solid brick walls), it is preferable compared to having gypsum or wooden walls that separate the bedroom from the kitchen area…

  12. Hi, Here, we should classify knifes or sharp objections into either: 1. Display items 2. Kitchen Ware Under display items, we should never display swords or knifes directly facing a main entrance door. This is indeed inauspicious. Similarly we should not display these in our bedrooms. For Kitchen ware, it will be a more commonsense approach to ensure safety in the home especially if we have very young children. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wasis, Would it be possible for you to upload a .gif or .jpg or .bmp file for a clearer understanding of your situation. Usually, you should leave out the main gate as this should not be considered the main entrance. For the main entrance, for many homes, there are usually two doors to the main entrance or distinctly, in many instances, the main entrance door can be seen from the frontage of the house. Or when we drive-in to the house, we could see the main entrance door. Alternatively, it should be the `largest' door in the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  16. Dear Chris, The stars are identified by the use of Flying Star theory. Based on the formula and calculation, a base star, the mountain & water star will be worked out. Thus, the main door direction is needed. Once the details are worked out, the analysis for each sector can than be deduced. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Sorry, can you clarify your message. For example, do you mean that your main door has say two panels. Some homes have 1 big door panel with a smaller side panel = 1 door and side panel. This panel is normally not opened all the time. If you have two equal doors, usually one door is not opened. If you have 1 big door panel with a smaller side panel, so long as the lamp post hits this smaller panel, (i.e. this smaller panel faces the lamp post directly) and your main door is "saved" from attack from the lamp post, then, this is fine or OK. As mentioned earlier, I had already listed most of the other common "cures" for the main door.

  18. Hi, A clock represents activity. If your kitchen is at the centre of the house: 1. Ideally, try to keep the centre-point of the house clear. This is because this is the location where all the intangible force merge or congregate. Best to keep this location neutral e.g no stove, water element etc... 2. Usually a pendulum clock is symbolic of the metal element especially the `metallic ticking sound'. Here a pendulum clock is akin to elements like a wind chime to enhance " the metal element ". 3. For a regular clock, it generally signify activity and the best locations are next to a TV set. A TV set also is considered an `activity'. 4. For a wall clock, avoid hanging it abov…

Ever wonder why this lady geomancer never wanted to give explanations in public on the harm teletubbies allegedly bring to children? My guess is it is laughable and not in accordance with fengshui principles. It's pure BS! My children have teletubbies for two years now and they are just fine and doing wonderfully in school. I ain't going to throw out teletubbies just because this person says to do so especially coming from a person who likes to predict the next earthquake but refuses to disclose it until it happens and takes the credit for it.

Dear James, The developer incorporated certain elements of Feng Shui. Specifically, when one gazes into the swimming pool, the outline of an ancient Chinese i-ching coin can be observed, characterized by the square hole typical of Chinese coins, complemented by the blue tiles within the pool. Some time ago, I visited Block 52 (units facing marking K) Source: http://www.themadeira.com.sg/main_siteplan.html. ** **Note: The link mentioned in RED is no longer available today. I found this particular facing unappealing due to the unfavorable Flying star numbers, as well as the view of what appears to be a distant "tomb" (Stadium). Similar to other cond…

Hi, Your concerns are equally shared by a group of teachers I met recently on an invited talk on Feng Shui. The Polytechnic has a Mass Rapid Transit train tracks running above ground outside the main entrance area a short distance away. What matters here is whether the tracks are either straight or `slicing' inwards towards the School or in your case the home. If it is slicing inwards e.g. like a sickle slicing the building, then this is inauspicious as it is like a `knife' cutting into the `flesh'. If it runs parallel to the main entrance door or runs slightly at an angle, you need not worry about it other than the noise coming from trains pass by. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  24. 1. For the Chinese "ancient" coins:- Under the five elements concept: one notice that it has a square hole in the middle. The square hole represents earth. Thus, Earth (square hole) supports Metal (copper coin). And the red string (or some red) is suppose to "bind" or "control" the entire coin. 2. Hulu tied with red string:- In my opinion, no precedence other than RED being considered as an auspicious colour (color) for the Chinese. And many decorate it with RED. Not only the hulu but many trinkets or decorative items also often tied with red string. For example, the Chinese Palace Lanterns. Each of it's legs are decorated with red strings (tassles).
