Besides having a "shield" for the bottom portion of the gate, I heard some saying placing some sort of plant around the main gate or common staircase can also remedy the solution. Dear Samatha, Another alternative is the grille gate. Here, for example, if one has a stainless steel or aluminium gate, some of the panels can be flushed with "steel" or aluminium sheet. Such that for the steel sheet, it covers e.g. the knee level or sometimes we see aluminium gates that have a large area covered up. Dear Master Cecil, Kindly refer to the attached picture. I'm intending to buy a unit (i have not offered but interest is there). The common toilet door partially faces both the common bedrooms, Bedroom 1 & 2 in the attached picture. In this manner, what should i do to nullify any negative effects, if there is any? Also, the master bedroom door is directly in line with master bedroom toilet door.
