Dear Cecil, Thanks very much for your advised. I am very appreciated it and happy to receive my first posted answer so quickly. I want to clarify a few things here so I can better understand it. 1. As you mentioned below the SE house is "from 112.5 thru 157.4 degrees". So anything beyon it like 157.5 to 202.4 is a South house correct? I see the Compass reading table on this website shows from 337.5 to 22.4 degrees it is a North house and 22.5 to 67.4 degrees it's a NE house. Please confirm this is the way compass reading. I'm fine with reading exact degrees of North,South etc but have hard time where it falls between the two that not evenly point. Since I am a South …

Dear Jill For reference, you could use the method shown under the following link:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm Where possible, try to use a compass with a higher mass. Since, you most likely may be using the compass, not as often, then try to take note of the following: 1. Try to keep 1 metre distance from the wall (if possible) as walls have reinforced metal bars. (It is also possible for the floor to have the reinforced metal bars which may also have magnetic influence). 2. If there is a sub-power station under your unit, there is also likely to have magnetic force. 3. Where possible, try also to take the reading from the external e.g. a empty plot of …

These are some of the considerations:- 1. An ordinary compass may be affected by metal near-by. Thus if one's home has concrete with steel-re-bar in it; the compass readings may affect the compass. 2. In fact, it is always best to take a compass reading even outside of the home especially on a grass area (but again) some grass areas may have embedded metallic items. 3. Thus, take a few readings or use the street directory type of reading... do a search and there are some examples of doing so. 4. Frankly, it does not matter whether you take a reading from the pillow, the centrepoint of the bedroom, the living room; so long as the compass needle always matches and does not…

These are several considerations: 1. Compass versus Flying Stars 1.1. It should actually be stated as: Compass School of Feng Shui: Eight House (4 Good/Bad) plus Flying Stars. 1.2. The Three-Step Approach You mentioned: My situation involves my bathroom and toilet being located in the North-West, which corresponds to the Health location according to your reports (8 House Chart). However, my son is associated with Death from this location. 1.2.1. One must possess a proper understanding of the 8 House concept. 1.2.2. Here, I regret to say, you are overlooking the main point. 1.2.3. The essence of the matter is that if an individual does not s…

Dear Sophie, sophie corcoran wrote: ive just done the compatabiliy report. my boyfriend is weak water dragon (31st jan 1976)and i am strong earth dog (2nd oct 1982), it says metal will reduce conflict but what does it mean by metal, does it just mean metal furnishings? Five element can be related to many different things ie colours, shapes, direction, career etc. So when it mean Metal, it means ie Metal (colour - white/gold, circular shapes, metal materials, West or North-West facing direction, or even Metal careers). Refer to this useful link:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Since colour is easily found in many areas of your life, therefore the closest item that both…

Dear Poh Yen Ong, Poh Yen Ong wrote: If my partner and I belong to different categories, does it mean we are not compatible? Poh Yen Ong wrote: E.g I am a "west" person and my partner is "east". How true is it for chinese zodiac compatibility? No, the different eight house type of person does not mean that the two person are incompatible. It just means that each person has a different direction or facig that brings him or her luck. Poh Yen Ong wrote: Is there anyway to counter it? Look at it this way: 1. Pretend that you are now in the 1970's 2. You engaged a "Geomancer" for your home. 3. The geomancer's key suggestion to you is"Both of you lack metal or rather needs more metal!" 4.Since you are the driving force behind the concern: "YOUR FACE LIGHTED UP LIKE A CHRISMAS TREE!' 5.Wow : This Geomancer founda SOLUTION forME!(While that one I searched and found in the internet in the 2011's couldn't offfer me a solution!) 6. Since many of us dwell with HUMAN factors or FEEL good factors; instead of sulking after reading the "negatives"; you place lots of metal.. 7. And LIKE all the fairy tale story's : BOTH OF YOU LIVE HAPPILY THERE AFTER! 8. How abou…

Proper fixes in Feng Shui may address some of these concerns. However, this must be done correctly. Thus, if one cannot avail to the above; it is equally best to seek help of some sorts:- 1. For some couples; a frank chat with each other and/or 2. Seek advice such as from husband's mum - if he is close to or listen to her &/or she could be helpful 3. Some sort of counselling or support group Best of luck!

1. According to Chinese astrology, yes, the rat and horse between themselves are SUPPOSE to be the worst pairing. 2. Auto-suggestion and self-fullfilling prophecy:- 2.1. If your boss is not "into" Chinese astrology or does not take it seriously, then it is best NEVER to bring up the subject nor show him nor bring to his attention the "incompatiblity" of both animal signs. 2.2. The greatest issue is to avoid " auto-suggestion" and "self-fullfilling" prophecy... in your situation. Anonymous wrote: Hi. Can anyone help me. I was born in the year of the rat. Feb 3 1985. Dear Ali, Under one of my websites http://www.lovesigns.net - In the above site, you can find that a Rooster is characterised as:- Overview of a Rooster:- Roosters have keen sense of observation and likes to be noticed and flattered. It is not easy to fool a Rooster and they make good trouble shooters. They are conscious of their appearance and what they wear. What's good? Funny, witty, brave, enthusiastic, efficient and honest. A Rooster person is very intelligent, a good thinker and has an excellent memory, alert and organised. They are intelligent, entertaining and strong willed but generous to friends. Roosters are clever at finance, confident and an outstanding …

Dear Guest, 1. No, one need not have to get a divorce:) In such a situation. 2. This is because, statistically, 50 percent of married couples, would either fall under: Both same or Both different. And, this would be a lame excuse indeed to seek a divorce. 3. The key to understanding Feng Shui concepts or any other disciplines is to use a three-step-approach. 4. Step 1 : What is the purpose of this concept? Step 2 : What are it's strengths? Step 3 : What are it's weakness? 5. In fact, there are already, much documentation in this forum on the purpose, strength and weakness of this concept. 6. Hope you can do some home-work by using your fingers to type it into the SEARCH …

Dear Anon, 1. First of all, one viewpoint of the Grand Duke Theory is that the Grand Duke is actually based on the movement of the Planet Jupiter. 2. As Jupiter is the largest planet circling, thus Chinese astronomers believe that it has an influence (e.g. magnetic influence) on other planets depending on its location. 3. Thus, one view is that the Grand Duke is based on Chinese Astrology readings. Please see below:- Yes, I recalled a real life example of a user in this forum. I believe it was one of the older messages. She mentioned that workers dug earth outside the room which she was sleeping. And she had problems after that. Yes, based on the 3 killings, usua…

Dear Anon, Use metal should be fine and not crystal. But make sure that it is not a metal ball. One condition of the metal star is that it should be solid and non-moveable. A metal ball does not fit this description. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear kb Ang, Frankly, even with a simple Eight House (4 good and 4 bad directions), there are so many people who still find it hard to apply due to complete oppositestype of chart between two person. That concept you mentioned is only add further complications. Anyway, I don't advise the use of it, simply because there is an even better one that is derived from the Ba Zi Feng Shui. Ba Zi uses the date and time of birth so it is likely to give better results than Gua (Kua) analysis. Gua analysis uses only YEAR of birth. Hope that helps. Dear Kathryn, Please see below:- On 8/14/2003 5:35:59 AM, Kathryn wrote: Frankly, there is not much "productive" inputs that can be gotten from the concepts like wealth/fame; helpful people or this sort of "Feng Shui". Honestly, such `fixed' concepts are often too general to be of use to anyone. For a start, is it still possible to `undo' the things that you had done previously. This is because, currently without much information or nor applying proper Feng Shui eg. Flying star etc... I don't have a clue (or is gropping) in the dark. Here, you may have to use `trial and error' FS. In my opinion, do try to forget about the notation of " relationship corner ", " creativ…

Dear Carol, It is understandable to find computers in the bedroom. Personally, I also have 7 PCs connected in a network in my room. (No kidding!) Not including a TV set and two hi fi set... maybe this is how I create a more YANG environment so that I can stay glued to answering the constant `flood' of e-mails both in this forum and personal e-mails without the need for drinking coffee. *JOKE* The main points to note are:- 1. Try to make sure that the edge of the computer table does not point at the bed especially the head or body. This is considered adverse sha. (poison arrow) 2. Most new computer monitors have `matt' finish or `anti-glare' screens. This relates to the `…

Dear Carol, Please see my reply below:- Thanks for bring up this interesting subject. Let me elaborate about Yin. Yin refers to softer materials e.g. "sof"t wood, light colours. "Soft" wood are e.g. pine even teak but not laminated wood decor. For colours, the use of light colours. Flooring made of wood pieces will enhance the yin in a room. This is why you notice that most bedrooms use parquet (wooden flooring) to enhance yin ... state of rest. Yang refers to `hard' materials e.g. glass table, metallic objects/table and even plastic and laminates on wood. Colours are vibrant e.g. bright colors. Flooring made of cold slabs of e.g. marble, homogenous tiles and other c…
