hi, My toilet is located in the east and the toilet door is facing my dining area..I have a small hallway/walkway between the toilet door and my dining area, which lead to the kitchen. My dining table is not in view of the toilet, dining table is facing my kitchen island table which is located in the east( next to the toilet).I have read somewhere that we can put a door curtain( is the curtain required to be from top to bottom or half curtain alright), plants ( any kind?does it have to be as tall as the door?)and a screen/room divider between the toilet door and dining area. Was wondering if the screen/room divider are required to be solid screen( solid wood/plastic …

Dear Simon, Don't worry about it. I understand that you are very young and not the bread winner (not yet I guess). For you, empasis should be placed in your bedroom. One important consideration under Feng Shui is that your Ba Zhi (Eight Characters), for example, the colours of the room should not `clash' with your personal element. You can also take advantage of the Eight House Theory i.e. sleep and study facing one of your good directions. Wishing you continued success in your studies! 3. Thank you for your encouragement. This forumis indeed my passion = LOVE 1. This is a useful link tothe understanding ofEight House (4 Good/Bad directions) or Eight Mansions:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach 2. As you have correctly suspected! This theory has it's limitations. And it is not about activating any item nor/or object(s). 3. What this theory simply implies is: either about (NICE-TO have and not a MUST-HAVE) "facing a good direction" and/or "spending time at a good sector. 4. Today, it is a popular tool to roughly understand what "facing" direction one may consider as a suitable or not as suitable home or apartment. 5. If you do more resear…

These are some considerations:- 1. If your approach is thru the Compass School of Feng Shui; then it is best to draw up a 20 Year Flying Star Chart and find out exactly what are the Flying Star numbers at the northwest area (sector):- 1.1. If that sector has the Water Star #8; and depending on the Mountain # and Base # stars; etc... 2. Otherwise, what you had writte…

Dear Chloe, Yes, it is best to avoid placing a bagua mirror facing inside the house. In my opinion, you could place two potted plants on both sides of the main door entrance. But if the plants does block the walkway, then do not place the plants. I feel that a crystal ball would not help the situation. Overall, for now I am too sure how the two doors `interact'. But, since they do not create any poison arrows or sha qi, perhaps, you need not place any objects at these sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Please read below:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/music.htm However, I personally feel that certain music are soothing to a person, and this does help a person relax. In Singapore, for example, in certain Chinese bookstore, eg. The Commercial Press located at Victoria Street, have a small collection of music which was packaged for Feng Shui and Yin / Yang Music. Some of these are quite interesting. There is one for relief of constipation, headache, overweight, stress etc. For those who are in Singapore, you can find such music available in stores, even in Popular Bookstore at Bras Basah Rd. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

I have observed all good Shapes and Forms of Feng Shui in my bedroom (including the position of my bed) which is located in the East-Northeast sector of the house. I am a number 4 Qua. I have the opportunity of place my bed so my head would be "facing" either the North, East or South direction which are three of my best directions. I am worried since according to Flaying Star Feng Shui there is conflicts in this areas in the Year of the Horse. Does this affect the direction of my head when I sleep? Which would be the best direction of my head since I am waiting for big changes in my life, in my work and with help of authorities in my field of work granting awards and pai…

Was it really a auspicious hour or just because of Cantonese saying "striking prosperity" which would bring good luck. Yes, you are absolutely correct! It has to do with the phonetic sound like "Cantonese word". Usually .18 or even .19 or .38 or 39 is chosen after the suitable time of the"Boss" has been choosen. For example; his best time on that day is between 11am to 1pm. For first-time open door procedure(s); usually .38 or .39 is preferred. As 3 in mandarin means UP and "mountain". And the "8" prosperity and "9" mandarin for longevity. Many in Singapore bid for either lo…

Dear Shelley, Thanks for bringing up this interesting question. A while back I mentioned that originally, Feng Shui is used at a macro level. At the micro level, we still look at the homes. But for the homes, it is more generalised Feng Shui. For example, in the past, we do not content with sleeping on a metal bed nor a water bed. We simply sleep on wooden beds because wood is easier to find and make use of. In a wider extent, symbols do play a part in ancient homes which are decorated with wooden panels or wooden carvings. Even the wooden Chinese antique furnitures have inlaid mother-of-pearls e.g. of leaves, flowers, fishes etc... This is not so much of Feng Shui but cu…

Dear Alex, Please see below:- Most likely, in my opinion, one (a hobbist) is based on passion! And perhaps this could be part of our passion could be translated to Human or man luck factors. Such as feel satisfied, good factors. While perhaps someone who has been "force" or "told" to place a fish tank perhaps may not have such a passion. Therefore, for collectors or hobbist, I always feel that this is not as important.

  12. Dear Cecil, Thanks a lot for your informative views about water tank & company logo. Regards Wincash

    1. More importantly, it is best that your stove in the kitchen has been set up and ready to be used on the first day of move-in. 2. The common procedures for the Chinese (Move-in) procedure can be found under this link:- info.geomancy.net Quote: Can i buy a gas tong before move into new house? Where is the wealth position located? Please advise. 1. Generally, it is acceptable to buy a gas tong. Often as mentioned above, it is best to use the primary stove i.e. mounted in the kitchen. 2. There are many different types of wealth position. Under Flying star, try to check where is your mountain star #8 and water star #8. These are suppose to be your current wealth locat…

Colours: Colours range from Brown to wood or wood tone colours AND GREEN colour. 2.2. Usually, under Flying Star Feng Shui for practical reasons, if a sector has bad #3 (bad wood) then it is often best to avoid the COLOUR GREEN. As we all know how to avoid brown or wood or wood tone... literally many natural furnitures - non laminated especially cabinets and even parquet floors or laminated floors are wood or woody or wood tone colour. 2.3. 19. Please note that it does not make sense IF:- 1. If a person is a Strong Water person and thinks that whenever that person walks around he/she is a tidal wave or tsunami of water. Or carrying lots of water. 2. In addition, it is also fool-hardy to think that a Strong Water person must not or rather refrain from drinking water. 3. This is real life. And not some animated cartoon or Fantastic Four. Where one is a Stone man, one is an ice man or one is a walking flame.......

  20. Dear Mercury, Thanks for sharing with us the picture of the sticker. In this part of the world i.e. Far East e.g. Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Phillipines, it is quite common to find people of religious faith `combine' their religion with Feng Shui. Although Feng Shui is a non-religion. Here in this forum, we do not mix religion with Feng Shui. I have seen or studied quite alot of Chinese drawings(symbols) and emblems. Currently, the most popular drawings (symbols) are of 1. The Yin and Yang (circular symbol) 2. The First Heaven Sequence symbol. Even Geomancy.net uses both in its logo. Another variant is the I-Ching format or Tai symbol used by Geomancy-U.com and …
