General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Yeah, from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, what you roughly mentioned; seems not auspicious. The best "test" is to check the history... who had previously rented the same "spot"? If possible, do more checking and/or speak to some of the neighours (tenants) of the building... to get some more information. Sometimes, it is amazing what we find.. e.g. the unit perhaps has higher turnover than say other units next to or nearby or within the building.... Good Luck in your venture!

  2. Haha, I am laughing a lot too

  3. This has more to do literally with commonsense. For example, majority of the time:- 1. Landed property: Most of the time, this is the clear space area or passage way area. 2. For many smaller condos; usually, this area is close to the passageway leading towards the other "organs" of the home. 3. For some condos and government housing board flats; this area is sometimes within the toilet and or toilet door area or again the passage way area. 4. Thus, commonsense would mean that most likely if any hacking; would be the "surrounding rooms e.g. making the master bedroom larger or demolishing a wall in the bedroom area for a walk-in wardrope or making the room larger or even …

  4. Master Cecil, Sorry for delaying my response. I am very happy to see your response. I would send you satellite photo for outside view, once i get everything confirmed and before we make an offer to the house. As of now we are still searching. Because of your website we were able to know which direction is good for my husband (bread Winner). Keeping that in mind we are very careful in selecting a house in a good community. Thanks again Hari

These are some of the considerations: 1. Frankly, one has to see beyond the "bedroom corner" and the main door. 2. For example, there is a difference between (see attachment) Layout A or Layout B. 3. If your home is "Layout A"; where the bedroom door does not directly face the main door: see attachment: Markings A or A1 ; or the door bedroom door could be at the other side; then the considerations are different from that of Layout B. 4. If assuming your Layout is A; sometimes it may be a blessing in disguise if there are some openings at BLUE marking "C". Just close your eyes and imagine... if you shift your main door to the right and if one opens window(s) frequently; th…

  7. Frankly, as mentioned, earlier; a geomancer would often look at a typical chart. In this sample extract, just take a look at how many fields I had circles. These are some of the considerations a geomacer looks at when determing what is best for a person. There are more considerations. Even if one lacks an element; how much is the percentage etc.. etc... But just count the number of circles; and one will understand.... Therefore, that is why, I mentioned: best to go back to the geomancer who deemed ... you... need wood.... Not just a few lines of text and presto! Your woes are cured!

    1. In my opinion, it boils down to those who are ultra conservative vs "Is there an issue, here?" sort of thing. 2. Frankly, how often have one recall a boss or fellow worker changing work directions annually. 3. In essence, these are often the same kind of Geomancers, that may even tell us: don't ever use that toilet. 4.The irony is that many such Geomancers, would most likely sit and work in the same direction, year after year! Yet, have the cheek to tell others to do something, they themselves don't apply! 5. You stay there, we don't! 6. What is not mentioned not often over-looked is the fact that if one does major renovations and or going for a major cause e.g. goin…

2.1. Sorry, I cannot help it but...after glancing this statement, my toes kept on laughing on this 2nd Day of the Chinese New Year! Haha, anyway it's always good to have hilarity in the New Year. Thank you.

  10. Started by myfs_147846,

One must understand the concept: 1. If one does not spent lots of time "exposed" to the sharp wall edges; then this is not an issue. 2. Many homes have exposed sharp wall edges and again, if you are not "there" what is the problem, here. 3. Most of concerns are at places we spent most of our time. Thus, I would be concerned if the sharp wall edge is in the bedroom and even if it is in the bedroom, it must literally cause a poison arrow. 3.1. And it is not the same as; "you feel that it is a threat"; but in many instances or in reality, it does not pose a problem to say one's bed. 4. The same is true for a ceiling beam. If one is not under a ceiling beam for 2 hours per da…

Frankly, no offense, please! This is another one of those, first..... First time, ever in my life and the life of this forum that one asked this question of the resource link. Therefore, most likely; either your fingers did not do more walking (using the search feature) to find out more or.... This is precisely what you should do:- The Three-Step-Approach

  12. Started by myfs_148435,

Again, appreciate; please note the following:- 1. There are already tons of past resources on the subject of mirrors. 2. Make an effort to use your fingers to the "walking" by using the SEARCH feature on this forum. Simple search terms like "Mirror in bedroom " etc.. would yield the answer to your mirrored wardrope issue. Look at it this way, your friend is not the only one that faces or is concerned with this issue. This issue has been around even before this forum existed. Extract from a past message:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=15138&new= 3. You have to be realistic; and go search for the French term: Triage.. Some of the…

Thank you so much for your reply I very much appreciate it. It has made things very clear for me and now I can proceed with confidence. I do have a very good compass and as a matter of interest if you have Google Earth and then zoom down to look at your property, at the top of the page in "TOOLS" there is an option for "RULER" click this and the click two points on your property this will give you a very accurate direction of your property. I have double checked this with my compass and it is very accurate. Of course not to be relied upon but as a way to double check it is invaluable. My best regards and thanks again. Dale.

  14. Just think about this little statement that geomancers always say.. in such a situation:- Geomancer 1; Geomancer 2; let's put it this way, lots of Geomancer says: " WHAT A WASTE! " (full stop) Hope this helps!

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Just imagine, parents, grand-parents and great grand parents time; where got such figurines. 2. In modern society, we have to call these objects; modern invention. 3. Again in modern times; many businessmen, choose to try to sell products; in the name of Fung Sway. Why? 4. A simple product or figurine.. costs "next to nothing" to produce. But suddenly when it was wrongly value added "in the name of Fung Sway"; supernormal profits are made out of the idea of "greed begets greed". 5. Guess, who pockets the supernormal profits; and guess who is "poorer" by that amount. 6. My grand parents, your grand parents; did not have such items.…

  16. There are two factors, here:- 1. In theory, under the Five Elements concept & Compass School; sounds reasonable. 2. Furthermore, under human factors; if it makes you feel good.. WHY NOT?

  17. Started by myfs_90272,

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Time Dimensions and Flying Star #numbers 1.1. Current significance of star numbers: 1.1. Under the Flying Star Feng Shui, there are a total of 9 numbers or 9 grids or (9 star ki). 1.2. We are now under Period 8: 2004 to 2023. 1.2.1 According to the Flying Star Period; the reigning number is suppose to be very auspicious. 1.2.2 The major stars under the 20 Year Flying stars are the #Water and #Mountain stars. While many geomancers treat the base star (or palace) star as of lesser significane. 1.3. Therefore since we are under Period 8: 2004 to 2023:- 1.3.1. #8 = Current Prosperity = Very auspicious often considered as current luck …

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Firstly, thanks for the sketch. 2. The bad news is the sketch is so general that I can only provide some guideline:- 2.1 Yoursketch seemsquite close to this article's information:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=26501&new= 2.2 More info.... http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=16667&new= 3. Thanx Lee for your input, I have attached a custom made picture to understand the layout of the house. Please tell me if facing south while cooking is inviting trouble and what measures can be taken to avoid it.

  20. Started by myfs_145587,

The first picture looks orange colour. If it is ORANGE colour; then I must qualify; for the Chinese, we consider orange colour as = gold. As mentioned many past forum messages; Hokkiens = Orange = Kim or Gold; Cantonese = Orange = Kum which is also refers to gold. And during the 15th days of Chinese New Year, exchanging a pair of oranges = gold. Frankly, I don't know what other races or religion consider orange = if they ever consider it in this way. Thus politically speaking I am Chinese so if you ask me; I second the above!

You wrote: "We have decided to sell this house and go to a new house, due to the above issues and my son has no friends in the current location.what do you suggest? Do you suggest me to sell this house and go to some other house ?" We have to be equally logical about it. The rationale is because, there is no other alternative home to compare with. If the new home turns out well; then it is good. But, what happens if the new (be it new or resale) home has "equal" or worst issues than this? Thus, as it is; this is no other comparison between your existing home vs some other home(s).

These are some of the considerations:- 1. The concept of : "If it ain't broken, don't fix-it!". 1.1. The idea is that if one generally doing fine; and has been staying in an existing home; and only due to one's itchy fingers; got advise to move the bed; 1.2. If so, leave it as it is. 2. Sleeping under the "coffin" position concept. 2.1. Please see attachment: coffin position.gif (Illustration of a typical "coffin position") 3.Frankly, I often just scan thru lots of text like yours - (faintest) idea about your bedroom arrangement. (I prefer a sketch). 4. Concept of "auto-suggestion" and ....hmmm... self-fullfilling prophecy... 4.1. Often it takes someone else to make a co…
