General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Thank you for your quick response, and sorry that I confuse you. My house has mountain star #8 at the facing direction (instead of sitting direction), and water star #8 at the sitting direction (instead of facing direction). According to flying star, this house is "reverse". BR #5 is bedroom number 5 in the N (or NW?) sector of the house, same with BR number 2 in the E (or SE?) sector of the house, I don't know how to determine which sector these BRs belong to. Again, thank you for your help.

I would like to clarify that the stove is in South sector, not NW sector. I would like to know if I can put the stove in NW direction in South sector. NW direction is my good direction. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the prompt answer Master Lee. As you'e said, NE facing isn't really that bad. The overall structure is best though, except for where it faces, also, I failed to mention, upon opening the main door from inside, you can see a water tower in a distance, most likely in the east but is a bit far and cannot cast a shadow. Are there any effect on us?

  10. 1. Please note that the Eight House concept is very rigid i.e. Either you spent time at such and such a location or you don't. Or you try to avoid. It is like ebony and ivory - black and white - hot and cold. 2. This concept offers no cures for the above. 3. Basically, some clever people or those who have the money, actively search out good homes where the bedroom sectors all "fall into" place. For example, when constructing a new home, a wealth person, would engage a geomancer to make things right - the first time. 4. Thus many of us who does not have the luxury of having such expert advice can only apply Eight House Feng Shui based on "Nice-to" have situations. 5. …

    1. If you have pictures of both sides would be good. 2. Majority of homes have 4 sides. If it is standalone home (bungalow) then 4 sides. If it is a semi-detached home than 3 sides to consider as the "facing" direction. For terrace home only 2 sides. 3. Often, if the "back" of the home has the washingarea/ washing machines, kitchen (wet and or dry) and rooms said as spare, guestor maid'sroom and toilets; then most likely, this area standing inside the home facing out of this areais not the"facing" direction". 4. Facing direction shouldoften preferably to "light" airy and bright. No need to measure windows, a visual look of how many openings and how much light comes in …

  15. 1. In the layout plan, as the bedroom / proposed study room door opens (at the side of that bedroom/study), Layout 2 is acceptable. 2. It is only personal feelings that we cannot immediately see someone coming into the room; otherwise Layout 2 is acceptable. 3. From a Shapes and Forms point of view, Layout 2 is better. As you had mentioned: by placing the two tables against both sides of the wall, this would bring several advantages: a. more spacious and easier movement b. easier cleaning c. visually looks more pleasing to the eye. Anonymous wrote: Generally, I'm more pro towards layout 2 but my husband is worried about his back facing the door. Actually, can we clarif…

  16. Further to what I had mentioned, one of the options is to place a low height "linen" cabinet" at the foot of the bed. See attachment.

  18. hi Mr Cecil Lee, Thx for the prompt reply... Recently, I had consulted a fengshui master on my bazi. According to him, I am a strong metal person. Hence, I should look for careers that are related to the fire element. Is that true? Why is that so? According to you, gambling itself is associated with the earth element. So what will happen if I am in this industry? Furthermore, for the sports gambling industry, I act in the position of a consultant, so does that make any difference? And how abt the interior design industry? hope you don't find me too troublesome. This is because I really need some advice at this point of my life. Your advice will be greatly appreci…

Thanks Master. I guess as long as someone keep his/her house neat & tidy, he/she should be comfortable staying in it.

Yes, Master Lee. I think the surrounding is good. This is a fairly large residential community, not zoned for commercial ( shops, restaurants,...). Marked A lot is what I'm considering. The lot as you can see tapered in the back and treees are all around here. The drainage is 2 lots over on the right. Should I do anything to fix the odd shape for luck? I really appreciated your advice. V
