General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Dear Jo, Frankly, currently I do not see any `harm' in installing a wall uplight next to the painting based on `intuitive' Feng Shui. However, normally again this should not be a problem other than if you have done a Flying Star chart and found that the sector is unfavourable or where `fire element' can do damage to that sector. Other than this consideration, it is acceptable to have the uplight. Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Thursday, May 06, 1999 8:42 PM Subject: Is it OK to have a carp painting and a wall uplight beside eac h In my opinion, it would not be necessary …

Thanks Plum Blossom. I have done the rounds of our very tiny Chinatown with no luck. I managed to find one store where I bought his entire stock of coins and that was only 60. But I am now after the more unusual shaped one..the chances of which here in Perth are almost non existent. Thanks again for your input. Glyn

  3. These are some considerations: 1. For a house considered as belonging to Period 7; if one plots it's 20 Year Flying Stars (correctly); this chart would not change even if we enter into Period 8. 2. In Period 8, the most important "wealth" or "immediate" wealth stars are #8's. 3. While #9 is known as the future prosperity star. 4. For a Period 7 house; between 1984 to 2003; at that time #7 was the current prosperity. Today, please refer to Para 2 above. As we are now into Period 8. 5. Not to be confused with one's building as belonging to Period 7 or Period 6 or even Period 5 etc.. Regardless of this; why is "Flying stars 2012 chart" called this way. Simply; it applies to …

Dear Cer, In my applied Feng Shui book, there are three formulas that can be used to calculate the Qua number accurately. And they are applicable even if the date of birth is under year 2000 and more. You should use the website's free computerised software to check your Qua number which I feel is accurate. Ref: http://www.geomancy-online.com (Under the Free Eight House Report). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wasis, We live in a practical world and many of us should not be deprived of books (some of us loved so much). For `bookworms' or those who simply love books, would be surrounded by them. Therefore, the only practical advise is to keep them neatly.. it would be good to have them kept inside bookshelves. If one has open bookshelves, so much the better. Although it is said that books are like knives, I could try to avoid placing it facing the bed. If one's bedroom has sufficient room for the bed and a separate area for say the study area or small corner bookself, facing away from the bed, the better. Else, for many people, it is still acceptable here. Warmest Regards,…

  7. How is our Auspicious Dates Analysed? Please be advised that our Auspicious Dates are choosen based on the following factors:- Key Alamac influence - is considered (ie whether day clashes / harms / punishes with the current year). Note: This isn't the most important influence as this only denotes a generate day's influence. ie even if the day itself is good or bad it does not mean that everyone on this planet will enjoy the same auspicious or inauspicious influence. ie tung shu/alamac day is inauspicious Wood Rat day, but if the person is Strong Water person, this day benefit that person a lot more. Suitability to Ba Zi - Whether the day is suitable to the ba zi is v…

  8. The best water feature in the world is almost virtually impossible to obtain. What is it? A water fall. Where water continuously friction with the air to create negative ions. The next best thing is the "bright hall" effect. Where a water position such as a pool would mean that nothing else can be built on top of this pool of water = clear space. The next, next best thing is to stand at e.g. the balcony or living room window and look out towards clear space or virtual water....

Dear Chee Kiat, I totally agree with what you had said. 1. In East such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Singapore, we have always learnt that Feng Shui does not depend on highly commercialised products that are produced to satisfy the `demand' and driven by unscrupulous people in the name of " Feng Shui ". 2. When I tried to do a search under the search engines for Feng Shui products; for our friend in Portual; I found several Feng Shui emporiums that have tied in with so called Feng Shui practitioners to help `push' their products. 3. Feng Shui is now so contaminated and commercialised by all these association with material goods which are highly marked up and only to f…

  10. Dear Subhas, In my opinion: 1. Although the plot of land is wide at the front and narrows to the back, check that the house does not have an odd shape. Preferably the house should be rectangular in shape. The rest could be the garden area. And proper landscaping can help to reduce the profile of the wide (front) and narrow back. 2. It would not be auspicious if the house where it sits on the land is downward sloping. The entire house should be on level ground. However, the back can be downward sloping. Where possible, proper drainage and if the house is on a hill, it depends on the construction or proper construction such as sinking of the piles and steps taken to preven…

Dear Kenneth, 1. Frankly, hopefully the abacus is not too large! Else imagine usually we have a desk-top PC and other work items on our work-table. 2. And such things may take up too much of the real-estate on our desktop. 3. Furthermore, it is much more difficult or not feasible to sub-divide a "tiny" area such as a worktable into eight sectors. 4. But, if you must insist, usually, the Sheng Qi (chi) sector is one's Prosperity or Excellent sector. 5. A more reasonable approach but even so, may not be achievable is to sit facing one's prosperity and/or excellent sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

The bathroom is quite a common issue, so it really does not matter as much. Just keep it close when not using. This should be enough. Hope that helps. 13. Started by lisa_lingo,

Dear Lisa, There are a few considerations here:- 1. North East Direction is considered the devil's gate. It is adviseable for you to:- a. Use the Eight House Template to check which intangible force is influencing the main entrance door. Best that it is not the Death / Disaster location. b. It is also good to know which intangible force affects your masterbedroom. As for the North - East Direction or devil's gate, you do not need to worry other than to avoid having a lone large plant on the North East or on the right side of the house i.e. if you are standing on your main entrance and looking outside, you should avoid having a large tree on the right side of the house. c.…

I have observed all good Shapes and Forms of Feng Shui in my bedroom (including the position of my bed) which is located in the East-Northeast sector of the house. I am a number 4 Qua. I have the opportunity of place my bed so my head would be "facing" either the North, East or South direction which are three of my best directions. I am worried since according to Flaying Star Feng Shui there is conflicts in this areas in the Year of the Horse. Does this affect the direction of my head when I sleep? Which would be the best direction of my head since I am waiting for big changes in my life, in my work and with help of authorities in my field of work granting awards and pai…

Dear Julie, 1. It is good to first use the Eight House Theory to look at the house in relation to the breadwinner's suitability to the house e.g. what is the intangible force at the main entrance door or any other alternative main doors. Next look at the intangible force at the main entrance door. 2. Under the Shapes and Form School, since you house has four levels, where best particularly the toilets should not be above such areas as the bedroom, kitchen (especially the cooking stove), living room or above the main entrance door. 3. The optional method is to use the Flying Star Theory (which can be applied to all four floors) to check out auspicious and inauspcious secto…

This is not good in anyway, because there is no support for the bed. The bed should be "anchored" to the wall, and not left as an island in the room. sound ridiculous, but it really makes me wonder). 18. These are some of the considerations:- 1. Sometimes, the clues are at the bottom, instead of the top. 2. Many concepts good or bad are related to commonsense (cow-sense). 3. For example, three (table) legs are inauspicious. While best is 4 legs. 4. For a "single" leg such as what you had mentioned; again, it depends:- 4.1. for example, there are antique Chinese furniture such as dining tables with OCTAGON legs. But these legs are relatively large and stable. 4.2. Gravit and legs. 4.3. In your attachment, in my opinion, it has more to do with center of gravity. Thus, if more weight is accidentally placed on one side of the table, this table can topple down. For example a c…

  19. Started by myfs_155741,

These are some considerations:- 1. Flying Star Feng Shui: 1.1. Flying Star Feng Shui can be classified under "Horizontal" Flying Star Feng Shui and "Vertical" Flying Star Feng Shui. 1.2. Horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui is to find where is the frontage and plot the 9 grid or the pie chart and analyse a home or office or building or plot of land. 1.3. Vertical Flying star: assumes that each level or storey of a home has different qi influence. Thus that is why flats/apartments can use this Flying Star Feng Shui as in #01-32 is different from the qi of #12-32 etc... 2. If you are looking at landed properties and number; then this has more to do with the hundreds and or thou…

Even in our modern world: Do you live like a hermit or also need to interact with others? 3. The interaction of 3 and 6:- [3] & [6] - Lawsuit, injury to hands and legs. 3.1. For humans, how to make babies if there is only one person? 3.2. In the above example: a person called Number 3 marries Number 6. 3.3 Please see attachment. You were partially right to say that number #6 is a good number. But you were totally wrong in saying that number #3 is auspicious? How can it be? Strong Wood (3) (Inauspicious Star) represents…

Dear anon, Usually, it would be good for an employer to install low height partitions at your workspace (if possible). You have not mentioned whether your work space is an open desk or already have a low height partition. If you already have low height partition, this is fairly acceptable in an office environment where one's desk is directly facing the office door. And no further needed. It is good also that your table is possible, moved slightly instead of direclty facing the office door. In an office environment, we have to understand that often staff cannot control the situation. For info, only: see attachment. Some companies use this type of workstations x 4 o…
