Dear Ai Ling, In my opinion, this is not so bad as compared to two equal mirrors that totally `split' a person into two. So far, I have yet to come across any major problems with what you had mentioned. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Joanne Books are considered like "knives" in Feng Shui. The ones in your storage room are not a problem, but I would remove those from beside your bed or cover them at night. As for the ones in the hallway, perhaps you could put some small pot plants with trailing branches among the shelves to soften the sharpness or a couple in a pot on the ground to somewhat "hide" the shelves. Cecil can no doubt give you more info. However, the former is what I have done in my study. Best wishes Glyn

Hi Francis, francis wan wrote: Thanks for the advice ,I will try to shift the bed direction to avoid the beam &bathroom door for better results Yes, if you can avoid the beam it will be good. The bathroom is quite a common issue, so it really does not matter as much. Just keep it close when not using. This should be enough. Hope that helps. Dear Suzhen, Apologise for the delay in reply. Currently I am unable to do any more house audits for the time being because of my schedule and projects for the website. Perhaps, you may want to get assistance from other Feng Shui Practioners in Singapore. Due to my tight schedule, I am unable to provide assistance in your case or go thru them in detail. What you have analysed using the Eight House Theory is not enough to find out your various `problems'. This is because the Eight House Theory is not a `diagnostic' tool of Feng Shui. More refined tools that can aid a better understanding or improve your situation includes the anaysis of your house using the Flying Star and…

Dear Anon, 1. Chinese Astrology primarily focuses on the Year of Birth and is generally considered in my view. 2. The main advantage of Chinese Astrology, in my opinion, is highlighted on the homepage of lovesigns.net where it emphasizes the importance of understanding each other's personalities to enhance relationships and love life. 3. "Auto-suggestion" plays a significant role in Chinese Astrology, where discovering that you and your spouse's Year of Birth are deemed incompatible can influence your thoughts and actions. 4. Being mindful of such information can lead to a form of "auto-suggestion" that may impact your relationship, potentially causing disagree…

  7. The best water feature in the world is almost virtually impossible to obtain. What is it? A water fall. Where water continuously friction with the air to create negative ions. The next best thing is the "bright hall" effect. Where a water position such as a pool would mean that nothing else can be built on top of this pool of water = clear space. The next, next best thing is to stand at e.g. the balcony or living room window and look out towards clear space or virtual water....

  8. Dear Subhas, In my opinion: 1. Although the plot of land is wide at the front and narrows to the back, check that the house does not have an odd shape. Preferably the house should be rectangular in shape. The rest could be the garden area. And proper landscaping can help to reduce the profile of the wide (front) and narrow back. 2. It would not be auspicious if the house where it sits on the land is downward sloping. The entire house should be on level ground. However, the back can be downward sloping. Where possible, proper drainage and if the house is on a hill, it depends on the construction or proper construction such as sinking of the piles and steps taken to preven…

Dear Wasis, We live in a practical world and many of us should not be deprived of books (some of us loved so much). For `bookworms' or those who simply love books, would be surrounded by them. Therefore, the only practical advise is to keep them neatly.. it would be good to have them kept inside bookshelves. If one has open bookshelves, so much the better. Although it is said that books are like knives, I could try to avoid placing it facing the bed. If one's bedroom has sufficient room for the bed and a separate area for say the study area or small corner bookself, facing away from the bed, the better. Else, for many people, it is still acceptable here. Warmest Regards,…

Dear Chee Kiat, I totally agree with what you had said. 1. In East such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Singapore, we have always learnt that Feng Shui does not depend on highly commercialised products that are produced to satisfy the `demand' and driven by unscrupulous people in the name of " Feng Shui ". 2. When I tried to do a search under the search engines for Feng Shui products; for our friend in Portual; I found several Feng Shui emporiums that have tied in with so called Feng Shui practitioners to help `push' their products. 3. Feng Shui is now so contaminated and commercialised by all these association with material goods which are highly marked up and only to f…

  14. These are some considerations: 1. For a house considered as belonging to Period 7; if one plots it's 20 Year Flying Stars (correctly); this chart would not change even if we enter into Period 8. 2. In Period 8, the most important "wealth" or "immediate" wealth stars are #8's. 3. While #9 is known as the future prosperity star. 4. For a Period 7 house; between 1984 to 2003; at that time #7 was the current prosperity. Today, please refer to Para 2 above. As we are now into Period 8. 5. Not to be confused with one's building as belonging to Period 7 or Period 6 or even Period 5 etc.. Regardless of this; why is "Flying stars 2012 chart" called this way. Simply; it applies to …

Dear Cer, In my applied Feng Shui book, there are three formulas that can be used to calculate the Qua number accurately. And they are applicable even if the date of birth is under year 2000 and more. You should use the website's free computerised software to check your Qua number which I feel is accurate. I know where you are coming from. In fact, Feng Shui is not a cure all. The key sucess factor of an already built up home is difficult to say: For example: a home is likecar. Some are lucky to have an unpolished gem and after a proper Feng Shui audit (e.g. wealth stars are at the good locations and these can be tapped). Unfortunately, some homes are like 13 year old run down 1,000 cc car. No matter how much one does to the home; one cannot pretend that after doing a Feng Shui audit the home becomes a mercedes benz or a bmw car. But honestly, the way you are trying to doing Feng Shui is like a "vicious cycle" as you are not even applying proper Flying Star (none at…

  19. How is our Auspicious Dates Analysed? Please be advised that our Auspicious Dates are choosen based on the following factors:- Key Alamac influence - is considered (ie whether day clashes / harms / punishes with the current year). Note: This isn't the most important influence as this only denotes a generate day's influence. ie even if the day itself is good or bad it does not mean that everyone on this planet will enjoy the same auspicious or inauspicious influence. ie tung shu/alamac day is inauspicious Wood Rat day, but if the person is Strong Water person, this day benefit that person a lot more. Suitability to Ba Zi - Whether the day is suitable to the ba zi is v…

These are some considerations:- 1. Flying Star Feng Shui: 1.1. Flying Star Feng Shui can be classified under "Horizontal" Flying Star Feng Shui and "Vertical" Flying Star Feng Shui. 1.2. Horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui is to find where is the frontage and plot the 9 grid or the pie chart and analyse a home or office or building or plot of land. 1.3. Vertical Flying star: assumes that each level or storey of a home has different qi influence. Thus that is why flats/apartments can use this Flying Star Feng Shui as in #01-32 is different from the qi of #12-32 etc... 2. If you are looking at landed properties and number; then this has more to do with the hundreds and or thou…

  21. Started by lisa_lingo,

Dear Lisa, There are a few considerations here:- 1. North East Direction is considered the devil's gate. It is adviseable for you to:- a. Use the Eight House Template to check which intangible force is influencing the main entrance door. Best that it is not the Death / Disaster location. b. It is also good to know which intangible force affects your masterbedroom. As for the North - East Direction or devil's gate, you do not need to worry other than to avoid having a lone large plant on the North East or on the right side of the house i.e. if you are standing on your main entrance and looking outside, you should avoid having a large tree on the right side of the house. c.…

Let me ask you a simple question, are you planning to do a major renovation to your new house or not? If you are, then you do not have to worry to much about what period the house was built in. As you can force the Qi to fly over to the period 8. In fact, this is often the most recommended for older house, simply because the period 6/7 house qi will be fading away anyway. So you won't benefit from it as much…

Dear Julie, 1. It is good to first use the Eight House Theory to look at the house in relation to the breadwinner's suitability to the house e.g. what is the intangible force at the main entrance door or any other alternative main doors. Next look at the intangible force at the main entrance door. 2. Under the Shapes and Form School, since you house has four levels, where best particularly the toilets should not be above such areas as the bedroom, kitchen (especially the cooking stove), living room or above the main entrance door. 3. The optional method is to use the Flying Star Theory (which can be applied to all four floors) to check out auspicious and inauspcious secto…
