Dear Michael, 1. Please refer to a similar forum message under this conference " Free Advice ". 2. Forum message: " Placement of legal documents ". Recent message dated December 22, Year 2001. 3. In the above message to a user, I mentioned that, in Traditional Feng Shui, it is not the practise to place legal documents at (any specific) location or to apply "sector " Feng Shui or paying homage to a specific sector. 4. Usually, Flying Star Feng Shui is used in this situation to look at the issue: In most cases, there may be a eighty-one combination within a sector that may involve legal issues or entanglements. This should be neutralised. In particular either the base Flyin…

I believe I've learned the modern method rather than the traditional method. I'll use the the Flying Star Chart pie chart to get it properly aligned. I believe it's a very large protrusion, almost making an L-shape. Thanks!

Dear Anon, Symbollically, it is not good Feng Shui to have a cracks e.g. hairline cracks on the main door. But I personally, feel that this is secondary, to the Feng Shui of the house. One can still do some minor repairs e.g. using silcone as a temporary solution. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Josephine, 1. I am afraid, this type of question is not appropriate for this forum. 2. There is nothing which can be commented that does not dwell into `hearsay' information with no proper basis in Traditional Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Under the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui, it is best to look at the entire area and the interior of the house. Considerations such as: 1. Not only the creek but in general how is the plot of land. Does it measure up to good Shapes and Form. 2. Where possible, there should not be a water position in the house. This is one of the major `flaws' of the house. 3. In addition, think of the scoring in an `examination'. 4. Here, look out for the frontage of the house and neighbouring houses. Are there any poison arrows? If so, can they be cured. 5. Similarly, are there any vulnerability of the windows facing a poison arrow(s). If so can it be cured. 6. Since you a…

Dear Michele, 1. In general, water is not favorable at the back of the house. However, this is not always true! 2. In fact, what is more important is `Qi' or qi flow in the surrounding and around the home. Here, pools of water even if they are quite a distance away, often at the `back' can be considered favourable. 3. Depending on the layout of the house, sometimes the possibility could be that: 3.1 To take advantage of (if the creek view) is better, the `facing' or frontage of the house can be oriented to face it. 3.2 Or simply creating a patio or garden facing the creek is another consideration. It would be better if you can attach a simple sketch of your house vs the …

Hi Robert, I actually feel better after hearing from you cos' we are actually staying at high floor, 25th storey and the cross junction is after a carpark and a road apart. Because my apartment is unblock therefore I can see the cross juction. We are also view a smaller cross junction from our guestroom, however, the distance is even further. Is it recommended to build a partition at the entrance to block from our neighbours door, it is only a small path between their door and ours. Also, our door actually faces our full length window in our living room. I heard it is no good too cos' the qi cannot flow in the house and will exit directly.

Dear Iz, Thank you for your words of encouragements. Presently, Feng Shui is no longer so mysterious. Sometimes, I go abit far to `warn users' not to go excessively into Feng Shui. Well sometimes this is human nature. For example, say someone pick up a book on Feng Shui and after reading between the lines, find that an author says that wind chimes are good. Here, the `catalyst' begins. Each of us mean well for our family and instead of purchasing one wind chime, may tend to purchase more. If one is purchasing only one wind chime, the chances of getting it placed at a Flying Star inauspicious location is not as great as one buying 5 wind chimes and as there are 8 sectors, …

Dear Tervino, 1. It is good that you asked this interesting question. 2. As far as `cures' are concerned, it is always `safer' to use objects or items that are certain to `conform' or belong to a specific element:- 3. For example, 6 metal coins is `confirmed' to be a metal element and 6 represents `big metal'. 4. A water fountain or a water position is `confirmed' to be a water element. 5. Fire element is represented by Red, pink or purple. A triangle object is also considered as a Fire element. 6. For earth, pottery, ceramic or clay e.g. vases because of its `earth' contents are earth element objects. 7. Plants or wood based objects usually belong to the wood element. 8.…

Dear Master Lee, I have bought 6 smooth crystal balls to place in the NE sector this year. The crystal ball I bought has a flat area for it to stand, otherwise it is really round except that area where it has to stand. Is it less effective than the really round ones? Since I cannot put water features in my bedroom which has the #8 water. What alternative enhancer can I put? Best regards,

Dear Ber, Originally, from what I understand that you mentioned that your animal sign is a `Dog'. On the basis of the animal sign `Dog', under Chinese astrology, it's element is Earth. The Chinese astrology dog is based on the Year of birth. Thanks for clarification that you used the online report and it analysed you as a Weak Fire. This makes a " world of difference ' as the online report takes into account all eight pillars. I therefore have to reply on what was given to me. The earlier assumption is based on you as an Earth element person. As you now mentioned that you are a Weak Fire person, yes, the colour green would be suitable for you as it helps weak fire grow. …

Dear Guek Rian, 1. Please note that one should consider: 1.1. Where is the frontage of the house. 1.2. Where is the sitting or back of the house. 2. Water Star(s) should be activated at the frontage of the house or a building. 3. In a tiny bedroom, there is really not much effect of activating water stars. The commonsense approach is that the most effective activation of water stars is e.g. the use of water position e.g. like a Ming Tang or Bright Hall where there is a water position at the frontage of the house. 4. Thus, one is most likely to swallow a sugar coated pill if someone can convience us that a water position can or should be activated in a bedroom. 5. However…

Dear Master Cecil, We've recently strive a small lottery and subsequently bought 7 units of different sizes of crystal point clear quartz. We have placed them together with 6 units of crystal balls in a glass display cabinet at the south location which has the flying star MS#3 B#2 and WS#1 and it is diagonally facing the main door. Will there be any good or bad effect? I have noticed someone place the crystal ball on the altar's table. Will it be advisable to do so? Thank you.

This sample shows an actual Can or Cannot Buy comparison of two different units in two different condos. It so happens that the male breadwinner's Eight House chart is identical to the wife's chart. And this family is interested in two different units. And seeking advice as in which unit is better. An individual chart for each home has been done. But for confidentiality; it is not shown, here. I am only showing the Eight House sector by sector analysis of each unit.

Dear Ann, Thank you for bringing up the question of crystals. 1. It is thought that like mirrors, crystals may be considered as bending light or `manipulating' lighting. This is where, some advise include: If there is a stair-case landing, some FS practitioners may advise one to place a mirror at this landing. In the hope that `Qi' can flow more smoothly. 2. Unlike, `water qi' there is currently no scientific proof that light is effective. For watercourses, reference can be made to " Dangers of underground water " ref: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/under.htm Here, some scientists have found that too much negative ions in water e.g. the negative ions created by waterfalls. I…

It would be better to chart out a Flying Star chart. If so, yes, in general, it may be placed at a MS#9 provided there are no #2 or #5 within that sector. Alternatively, such a light can help to "burn" or neutralise #3.

Dear Utpal, Please see below:- Under Ba Zi, if one is a weak water or strong fire; it is best not to have too much of the fire element. Nowadays, there is too much commercialisation in Feng Shui to the extent that even pyramid objects which was one used by another ancient civiliation : Egypt and Maya's. In China, we do not seem to see a pyramid. And because of this, it was felt that products such as a pyramid `cure' or `enhancement' is more of a gimmick. Please do not mistaken it with a Pagoda. In the past, Pagoda's are often placed above water veins especially lower down the river to neutralise (underground water) sha qi. It should not be construded as a pyramid shap…

Dear Ken, 1. Yes, since you feel uncomfortable, it is best to remove it as soon as possible. 2. Other information: 2.1 Often, since a bedroom is (more for rest), it is overall considered a yin location. And it would be better that bedroom lights should be balanced with more yang. 2.1.1 Yang is represented by 1, 3, 5 and 7 or odd numbers. 2.1.2 Thus since a bedroom is more yin, it would be better at the ceiling to use lights either 1 e.g. circular at the centre of the room or if one has cornice: lights as 3, 5 or 7. Often in an average Housing Board (public housing flat) 7 lights is already quite adequate. 3. Often, a crystal set of lights is more favoured in a living room…

Dear Rebecca, Usually, we should take the shape of crystals based on various shapes that we like and thus wear them. Overall, there are so many different shapes and designs and it is quite difficult to place them into specific categories. The shapes you mentioned, heart, star are usually worn symbollically as a decor linked perhaps to `romance' or love. Warmest Regards, Cecil
