Dear Anon, Frankly, there is no harm in doing so. Whether it works or not is another issue. As for painting the interior side of the door, perhaps can be quite ugly. For the mirror on the outside door, this seems better than the "red interior door colour". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear AC, 1. As mentioned in my previous message, it is generally considered as a leak i.e. especially if the WC /sewerage line is found at the frontage toilet. But if the toilet has a half-bathroom i.e. generally only for bathing or shower, and no WC, then, it is a non-issue. 2. Be-careful of where the Grand Duke location is and also the 2nd direction of where not to renovate the home during this lunar year of the monkey: Do check that the renovation works should not be carried out at either: 1. West-South-West at 240 degrees 2. South If you are doing the renovation works for next Rooster Year 2005, then these locations are taboo:- A. West at 270 degrees or B. East…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, so far, I have yet come across a case or problem related to `ceiling fan(s)'. Therefore, for me, I do not consider it a problem / threat or a real issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mary, Please see below:- I very happy to learn that you have enjoyed this site ... for the last two years. Your words of encouragement will spur us to work harder to continously improve on the site. If you have used the binding element report, the suggested cure is metal. What this means is that where both parties are i.e. especially your bedroom or the living room, you can make more use of `metal' element to bind both parties closer. If we evaluate why the binding element `metal' is useful, we can look at it this way: 1. Metal helps your husband's weak water to grow. 2. Metal, has no ill effects on your Strong Earth element. Metal element is neutral to your …

Hi, Usually, the most effective method is to use a side partition any where between the main entrance door and the study room. Alternatively, you should close one of the doors when opening the other. Some other `olden' methods include using bead curtains but this is I believe quite `outdated' in modern times. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Marko, Frankly, I was thinking very hard about your senario. Since it is a shared wall and not a house or frontage facing each other; in my opinion, there is not much one can do here. A Metal `cure' is used usually, if there is an imbalance e.g. on the shared wall of your bedroom. Otherwise, it is not normally used. As for Feng Shui, it is correct that one should avoid placement of plants or water fountain in the bedroom. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am born in 1954 which is Kua No. 1. My home front door is facing NW direction which is not favourable to me as far as I understand.. :Moreover, the front door is facing the kitchen door at the back of the house directly and the kitchen door is90 deg angleto the toilet door i.e you will be able to see the toilet partly viewing from the kitchen..How can I improve the situation? The main door seeing the kitchen door is not as bad, as the main door leading to an open window (which will mean you have a qi leak out of the house). Frankly, it would be worst if you can see the toilet bowl from the main door. But so far you only see the toilet door.…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My front door is alligned with my back door. What should I do to cure this? The front door is a double door but the back door is only a single door. Generally, when you door opens out to a back door or a window on the opposite side of the house. The solution to fix it is pretty simple. Simply have a partition or screen between the door to allow the Qi to circulate around the Qi. Similiar to this example:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-breath.htm Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hey: I am new to this forum and hope to learn more from you. My 2-car garage is in the perfect North-East corner of the house (attached to the house) and I use the garage daily to enter the house. The garage orientations are: 2 doors are facing North; its outside wall is facing East; its South wall has a door to enter into the mud/utility room (having washer and dryer); its West wall is shared with the dining room. The garage has, in addition to 2 cars, all kind of household stuffs/junks (hardware, tools, paints, metal shelves, chemical, lumbers, etc.) Since the #8 will be the most auspicious corner in Period 8, I like to enhance my wealth Feng Shui. Any practical advic…

Dear Tammie, Please see below:- As mentioned in my forum message; priority should be given (where possible) for your son to spent time at a good sector; first. After this is `satifisfied' then, it is nice to have him face e.g. his education direction NE. Thus, facing NE is secondary or less important then spending good time at a good sector - Under the Eight House Theory. But if the sector is not as good; then, one can still try to face NE. But this is as mentioned - of secondary importance. It is recommended that one understands the aim or purpose of the theory that you are currently using. The aim of Eight House theory is: 1. Find out how suitable e.g. the house…

Dear Diane, Diane Price wrote: can you please advise me on what to do? We are in a south facing home which is bad for me, a west person, but, good for my husband, an east person. Any suggestions on what I can do to make this home suitable for both of us? I have searched for a front door cure, but, have had no luck. Thanks very much for your advise, Diane First question that you should be asking is, are you the breadwinner or your husband? A house must fit the breadwinner. This way the house will bring luck to the breadwinner who provides for the entire family. It is quite difficult to get a house that will fit family members. So the rest of the family members just need …

Dear Anon, The best option here is - not to cause more problems with the profile of the development. Here, try to as possible, have the shape of the building in a rectangular shape. Avoid odd shapes like U, circle shapes etc... Proper landscaping of the development can help. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, A clock represents activity. If your kitchen is at the centre of the house: 1. Ideally, try to keep the centre-point of the house clear. This is because this is the location where all the intangible force merge or congregate. Best to keep this location neutral e.g no stove, water element etc... 2. Usually a pendulum clock is symbolic of the metal element especially the `metallic ticking sound'. Here a pendulum clock is akin to elements like a wind chime to enhance " the metal element ". 3. For a regular clock, it generally signify activity and the best locations are next to a TV set. A TV set also is considered an `activity'. 4. For a wall clock, avoid hanging it abov…

Yes, one will be affected especially by the m5 at that sector also. while w7 has more to do with "loss of wealth". Hopefully, your office uses "cool daylight" lighting above your work space. If it is "warm daylight" then, check to see if it is possible to "change" it. In addition, avoid bright yellow and bright red items such as file folders etc at your work space. Try to hang a set of six coins in your cubicle. And if possible, purchase one of those bronze hulu and place it at your work table. I just started work at a new office which is NW1 facing in Period 7. TheNW sectorthat I sit in has the following flying star: m5, w7, b8. In June, I fell very sick when the ye…

I am newbie at fengshui been reading up on Black Hat Sect fengshui. According to the book, the prosperity corner is on the upper left of the bagua. I run into a section which I'm not sure how to resolve. I share a rented apartment with a few friends. I overlay the bagua ignoring the kitchen. Of worry is the prosperity corner of the place. We hang our clothes there and in the balcony to dry. Although not mentioned in the book, this rings of bad fengshui - water drying up. Also there is a mirror sliding door facing the propersity area that is connected to my room. The first instinct is to move the clothes rack but I can't as the place is shared. Besides there is no other sp…

Dear Andy, An Advance Search for "beam" under this forumit will yield:- Posted in: Info :: Photo Tours of Interest (Pictures) Posted on: Fri, 11 Feb 2000, 20:42 PM, I have extracted the link from this old resource (Feb 2000 & later 2002):- http://forum.geomancy.net/upload/support-struts.gif (Many modern homes use the gypsum cornice and extend these struts to look more natural or blend in by widening it as shown in your attachment. Dear Cecil, I mean 6-7-5 (i.e Earth Base-Facing Star-Mountain Star, in this order, for example). If one cannot move out of this place of 6 and 7 combination (although that is the ideal), can you help me know what artifacts one can use to remedy(cure) this loss making(destructive) interaction. I broadly know that as per the "Productive and Destructive Cycle", that Water elements and Wood Elements should be used to dissipate the energy of these metal stars. But, I don't know what effective artificats / cures will really work. Can you help. Regards, A.Vincent
