Dear Sharon, Please see below:- In my opinion, in a small room although technically speaking one can still divide the room into 8 sectors but from my past experience, the influence of the 8 divisions is very small or minute. As compared with the eight sectors in a larger setting e.g. a full apartment. Already, the Eight House is not a greater `scorer' of marks. And in my opinion, such a sub-division adds to or has minimal effects. It is best to still keep the bed within good Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Further to what I had mentioned; attached, please find the "breakdown" of the components of the dry creek. As mentioned earlier; larger stones (rocks) = Yang; while the smaller pebbles and it's lighter shade shows an imaginary profile of a water course. While at the outer far reaches of this landscaping should be considered as transparent or not so relevant to this entire dry creek thing. I mean the sandy part of it. In the Japanese Zen garden, they simply use all smilar sized pebble in the entire yard. Thus the yard : only has larger stones and pebbles and some decorate lamp(s).
