Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Please advise is there a general guide line to choose a date for shifting house? What should I look out for when I'm trying to determine the date? Or is there a general calender for the whole year which should which date is good for shifting? In general, there are a few ways of checking to determine a good date:- 1. If you do not plan to use a tung shu / alamac calendar or ba zi, then most will agree that 1st or 15th day of the lunar calendar is often considered an auspicious date in general. 2. If you at least have a tung shu / alamac calendar, you can look for dates which is stated to be generally auspicious. In general, these should be …

Hi, Apologise for the late respond, as this message is sent anonymous, it does not get posted to our e-mail. Please read below:- You have to consider the period the house was built as Flying Star is for the birth chart of the house. There are several schools of thought:- 1. Once you make major renovation to the house, the entire house birth chart is altered to the year of the renovation. 2. The main door is considered your chi of your house and that all the levels of the house uses the same chart based on the flying star of the main door at the ground floor. 3. Every level has its own chart, and each level should be calculated based on the entrance to that level.…

Hi, In my country, we are not accustomed to keeping python, spiders and other snakes as pets. However, it would depend on the custom of a locality or country. Normally, such animals are not kept in a bedroom. There is no written document in the past on the above so looks like it is `new territory'. Overall, one can still apply the Yin and Yang concept and classify such animals and relate it to Yin and Yang. From the looks of the creatures, they are in my opinion generally considered Yang insects and reptiles. Here, one should have a balance between Yin and Yang. In the bedroom, again depending on who is sleeping there i.e. if it is a child, a more Yang environment is acc…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- The best `cure' is to see if you can have a screen behind your bedroom door or place a linen cupboard before entering the door. A potted plant can be used but in my opinion less effective for a `C' configuration. However, you can try to see if can help. As you can always remove the plant afterwards. Another method is to place a semi-circular mat facing away from the bedroom door and `cutting' or `slicing' the steps of the staircase leading to the room. Do try the above out. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In my opinion, this comes under symbolism in Feng Shui Simply place a red dot onto both door knobs to "allow each other to see eye to eye with each other" is The norm for this situation.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I'm a bit confused. My front door sits at 302 degrees NW and was built in 1918 which makes it a Period 3 home right... Do these positions still line up with the Ba-gua with the entry in the Career (north)section etc. or is my career section in in the NW since this is where my front door is? The Flying Star concept assess your the feng shui of the house based on the facing and period the house was build. While Eight Aspiration (based on ba gua), gives a general intepretation of what each direction is represented in general. In applying feng shui, always go for personalised analysis first. Meaning Flying Star is more important than Ba Gua anal…

1. In my opinion, this is pure common sense. 2. For example, the sentences that you wrote already given the clues OR red flags: You wrote: I know that white is my best favourable colour based on 8 characters. However in recent reports it is said that people of MY BIRTH YEAR should wear black in 2013. How can I achieve the best colour for me in the new year? 3. I know a recent Women's publication and their web advertisement which I saw running in google ads linked to this forum gives a guide to what to wear. 4. These are some considerations: 4.1. The article is generalised for a typical animal sign. And it is based on one's year of birth only. 4.2. For example, I …

Dear Marissa, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Saturday, June 26, 1999 11:57 PM Subject: flying star Flying Star is a complex theory which uses numbers of stars to deduce the good and bad influences. If you generated your free flying star report, you would have seen the full analysis of the flying star for the North-West sector of the house. The rest will not be analysed for you. The analysis is very complex as you need to understand many of the underlying concepts in order to be able to deduce the relationship of the numbers found in the room. Thus, we have come up with …

Dear Johannes Nugroho, Johannes Nugroho wrote: I am currently having a house built. The house will probably be finished by the end of the year. It faces northwest. I plan to have a fountain to the right of the main door, with the main statue in the fountain facing southwest, which is supposed to be one of my good directions. But then I read somewhere that the northwest sector is bad for any water feature. Is this true? I am a snake born in 1977. Thank you. Frankly, never just follow an advise or tip that you read elsewhere, unless you understand and/or applied the various tools available to personalised the analysis to your home. I mean why a certain say NW should not h…

1. One has to differentiate the type of "water position" in a home or bedroom. 2. If the water position is one of those fountains or even fish tank; then this is not advisable. 3. The most utopian water "position" is actually a water fall. Here, natural water frictions with the air to create negative ions. 4. Today, air-purifiers generally consists of TWO main categories; 4.1. Air-cleaners (air-purifiers). And often, the better brands are graded as "Hospital grade" and some of the well know brands are Honeywell and Sharp. Many of such air-purifiers use an external layer of charcoal sheet and an internal air-filter. That can almost filter out 99.999% germs. And even pollen…

Further to what I had mentioned earlier: 1. In fact, you have brought up another good example of spotting the " fake " Feng Shui. 2. Calling it " fake " is extreme. However, the more accurate word is: TOO GENERAL to be of use to most of us. 3. In many of the old forum messages: I have given examples of why Eight Aspirations or Life Aspirations or Life Association concepts are TOO GENERAL to be of use to anyone. 4. For example, the most common words are: South-West is my romance sector. North is my career sector. 5. Do search for these terms and read thru some of the messages on these concepts. 6. What is more important to each of us is to try and use concepts that can wor…

Dear Michele, 1. Usually, there is no issue if the collection cistern is in the form of a tap. 2. It should be treated as just any other pipes. 3. But more importantly, it should not be located at the centrepoint of your landed property. Nor allow it to criss cross underneath the house. For a landed property, it is equally important that the sewerage pipes (where possible) run at the back of the house and out of the house. From what you had mentioned, therefore, it does not seem to pose any problems. Warmest regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. I believe it is difficult to alter the height of the fish tank. This is because, most fish tanks plus the supporting legs are high. Thus the fish tank is usually at eye level. 2. The fish tank is thus more for the hobbyist rather than activating the `water star'. 3. The water star if one gets the meaning correctly means a flat surface. More like a water position such as a pond (not stagnant) or a swimming pool. 4. Another secret ingredient, is "sound". If one has stayed in a condominum or own a koi pond with a fountain, you can hear the movement of water sometimes even when you close the door. 5. For decorattive purposes, it is quite ugly to place the fish t…

Dear Kevin, kevin masboy wrote: Hi there, I'm new with Feng Shui then my wife & I about to buy a house that we like but the stairs is right in front of the door. I heard from my parents, stairs that directly face a front door is not good, we gonna spend a lot of money ? Is that true ? if it is, is there anyway to avoid this 'bad luck' ? Thanks in advance !! Yes, this is true. This is because wealth tends to flow from high ground down to lower ground. So if you have the stair facing the main door. It is like wealth flowing out of the house. That is why it is inauspicious. Probably, if you already bought it, then you need to see how you can put a partition between th…

These are some considerations: 1. As we all know, we live in a real world. 2. In real world situations, like you have discovered, there is no such thing as a PERFECT date. 3. Even for any home, there is really no such thing as a 100% perfect home. 4. Here, auspicious dates are considered as NICE-to have. And not a must-have. 5. Often, even choosing a date for two persons may be difficult. Not considering selecting dates for three or more persons. 6. In tradition, it is good to select a date that is auspicious for the breadwinner (usually the Male breadwinner). 7. And nowadays, it is nice to also consider auspicious date (IF possible) for the spouse - but again, it is NICE…

White desks may have become popular because of the artistic look they create in every room, but we must not forget their true purpose, and how they help every individual, who uses them, to achieve better performance in every way. They are usually used as desks for office use, student desks and for computers as well. They contribute to success in day-to-day activities plus they create an artistic look in every home. As a perfect desk for office workers, it needs to have spaces to organize papers. You don't want a messy table with files placed everywhere, do you? You want it to be as organized as possible so as to ease your work load. It should have enough dividers for your…

Dear Susan, It is best that you do not include the non-living areas such as a garage when determining the rectangle of the house. The sink and windows of the garage should also be discounted since it belongs to this area. If one is having a problem, try to use the 2nd storey outline to determine the "rectangle" outline of your home. Here, you would have already determined the centre-point of the home. And use this to match the lower floor - while "cutting" out the excess fat (garage area). The idea of the centrepoint is to find the "centre" of gravity in a home. (but discounting the garage area) Warmest Regards, Cecil
