China welcomes overseas Chinese who can prove their ethnicity.. The new policy, which takes effect from February 1, is an improvement on the current one-year multiple-entry visa for this group. Foreigners of Chinese origin with residency will be able to extend the period of their stay from three to five years. The changes, announced by the Ministry of Public Security last week, are expected to attract more overseas ethnic Chinese people to do business or live in China, according to the authorities. This is indeed a win-win situation for everyone! Source:

Moon cake skin biscuit resembling an entire pig profile.. placed in a distinctive “pig basket”. These colourful baskets resemble exactly the rattan baskets: The Farmers used to cage their pigs during transportation of each of them. During the Mooncake Festival, thus these colourful baskets contain a mooncake skin pig mould biscuit. The biscuit has the same taste as the skin of each baked moon cake. Today I had an audit near-by. I was curious to see if this traditional styled shop-front designed unit is still around. Indeed, it has been around for at least a decade or more. I really like the authentic style frontage. Even if it is a modern take of the traditional hand-crafted design... never mind... do take a look.. Hoong Woh Tong herbal tea & jelly @ Hougang Mall

Mr Zhou Youguang died on 14 January 2017 at the age of 111years. He is attributed to romanized mandarin and in Singapore, I remembered clearly that I started Primary 1 has to learn the traditional strokes. In Primary 2 onwards simplified mandarin. As Hanyi Pinyin was great for the English speaking students who found difficulties in speaking the language. Rest in peace Mr Zhou Youguan! You made a signific…
