I've been thinking of getting Chinese lion dance head in my home for decor. Can you advise me , based on your experience in fengshui the following: 1. Usually if people keep lion heads at home ,what is the ideal number? two? or is just one ok? 2. Does the ion need to be 'blessed" first before displaying or are there any beliefs or rituals needed? Or just buy and display? 3. Any specific direction it should face E.g. facing main door ? Or any direction?

If my fiance grand father just passed away. Do we have to get married within 100 days or 1 year or that we can get married anytime we choose? 1. For Chinese, we have a vast range of dialect groups. And one will be surprised to hear so many versions. 2. More importantly, does your family still have a strong matriach? In the past, this could be an elderly eg. a strict and somewhat considered as the final say in the family. 3. If so, she be consulted. In a closely knit family arena, some even consult a great-uncle or auntie. 4. if one does not have this hieracy but a benev…

1. To the Cantonese (dialect group) of the Chinese, the number 4 sounds like "death" in Cantonese. And anything with 4 or double 4 or even triple 4 is considered inauspicious. 2. Thus, this is not Feng Shui; but rather, the phonetic sound like "death". And homes or apartments that have this number would be considered as inauspicious thus may affect the future re-sale value of this apartment.

1. Look at it this way: all of us one day will perish: "ashes to ashes; dusts to dusts". 2. Thus in general; the majority of has to one day die of old age. If so, there ain't no worries about things that a "dead" persons; furthermore; one's own flesh and blood living us things. 3. Of course, there are many instances for some; a loved one dying of old age in a home. And looking at it: left the home to their loved ones.. 4. For natural dead; and later cremation; cremation is neutral. And like many of us; do keep our late father's funeral photo (frame). Here, we keep it with respect in a proper cupboard and not "chuck" it away. 5. Besides this; the other factor is based on…

Dear Elena, Yes, there are some truth in this. But it is more a belief than Feng Shui. However, some `modern' bread that are rectangular in shape, do not meet the above `criteria'. These bread are machine cut and sits on the base of one rectangular side. Some may even consider the bread on a side but difficult to `differentiate.' Warmest Regards, Cecil

Feng Shui does not excessively control every aspect of our lives. So, go ahead and use fridge magnets. They are often given as promotional items or vacation mementos. Many people collect magnets from their travels and proudly display them, showcasing places and iconic buildings from different countries. Feel free to express yourself. Feng Shui mainly focuses on our Earth Luck, while this area is more related to Human Luck. It's about feeling good, adding a personal and colorful touch. You know what I mean, don't you?

Please Help! I am getting ready to purchase a home and I want to make the right decision. I have heard you can tell the fortune of your home by the way in which your main door faces. Is the main door the main door or the one I will always enter the home through which would be the garage or is it the garage door itself that I would be driving into. Please help it seems that eveyone says something different? If I habitually enter my home through the garage door into the home is it that my main door or the garage I drive into, or the main door outside the home which I don't use often? My birthstar is 2 I need to know what to be looking for? Can someone help me please! I need…

Dear Rochi, 1. If you want a `Quantum Leap' in finding a good home, it is not just about one issue i.e. the main door. 2. One should not be narrowly focused just on the location of the main door if all else are "so, so " or inauspicious. 3. I mentioned in some forum messages that we must maximise the `score' of the home. For example, I given an example about Examinations. Image that an examination paper consists of 4 sections and each section is compulsory. Here, it is ideal to maximise your marks in all sections. It is no point scoring high marks in Section 1 and failing Section 2 questions. 4. I hope you can see my point that one should not concentrate totally on just o…

Dear Anon, So far, so long as the specific site has properly converted mother's western date of birth to lunar calendar, you can then use it to "predict" a baby's gender. However, there is a question mark - personally have not fully reviewed the accuracy of the model as to whether there is a need to further fine-tune your date and time of birth towards Beijing time or not. In such a situation; could result in either baby being considered as a boy or girl. Thus the two major considerations are: 1. Convertmother's date of birth to lunar. 2. Have to guess whether or not to fine-tuneone's date of birth. If so, again there are so many variations. As it is not so simple…

Dear Melissa, Firstly, this procedure is not meant for a large office where the walls are entirely of glass. As one of the procedures is to cover the entire office to pitch-black. Secondly, these are quite standard procedures:- Select an auspicious date & time for the Office Warming Day. 1 On this day, make sure that all windows, ventilation must be covered up - usually with black paper or cloth. So that when one enters the room, it should be in total darkness. 2 Hang a red banner across the banner of the business. 3 During this time, all electricty to the unit should be off. No equipment is to be turned on. 4 Before the auspicious time, the owner or manager…

Hi there, I did see a similar question posted but I can't find it again. But similar situation my neighbor has a about 8-9 in by 5-6 in mirror facing out of his main story window facing the right side of my home and it's not within 2 meters from my main entrance but it is right across the alley so I'd say a few meters from my side door which I almost use an equal amount as the main entrance. And there is also a utility pole between my house and there's. You asked that in the other post I stumbled across. Oddly enough I swear I can almost hear and at the very least feel the frequencies emanating off that utility pole straight into my bedroom. I guess I'm just wonderin…

Dear Magic One, I am not sure if this site can help but they have articles relating to "psychic scams". http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/Crimes/InPerson/MajorPerson/psychic_scams.htm Under the above url, a common scam is related to problems related to `evil' . For information about family, sometimes, it is easy for others to obtain the information. Or, sometimes, one or more family members could have `given the information' or it happens that by coincidence, some of the questions `hit'. I personally feel -- stay cautious. Warmest Regards, Cecil
