Hi Edwin, edwin tay wrote: i would like to find out other that those jobs listed above, are there any more suitable jobs? what is the selection critiera? ie how to tell what element group does a certain job belongs to? Check out this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm Generally, Feng Shui here can only serve as a rough guide. You can break up a career in to a suitable industry and job scope. I ideally if the career element is favourable to you, it will tend to bring you luck. But of course, it also depends on whether you have the right skills to be able to go into that career. ie if most suitable career is mechanical engineering but you know n…

Dear David, If you used many of the free analysis tools on our My FengShui website, all your answers will be answered:- Based on a quick check on the various free reports:- - You are a fire element person (whether weak or strong will depend on a full analysis of the Pillars of Destiny) - Your Kua Number is 5 - Your Chinese Horoscope is Monkey. Luck Pillars can only tell your heavenly luck. Your bad luck could be due to your current house you are staying may not be suitable for you or contain bad stars. Not just the pillars. Or simply a very unsuitable job element for example. Unless a more complete analysis is done with your Pillars of Destiny and Flying Star of the house…

Hi, Apologise for the late response, as you can see we were busy with a major face-lift of the site. My meaning of a the binding element is the element which smooth the relationship between two different elements. For example a strong wood, and a weak earth person is likely be comfortable with each other if they are in constant contact with fire element. Thus, fire is considered the binding element. This is because without fire, the strong wood would destroy the weak earth. Thus not compatible to stay together. However, with the introduction of fire, the strong wood would be weaken to produce fire (which is good for strong wood person) at the same time the strengthen…

Dear Pei Yee, 1. This is based on another aspect of Pillars of Destiny Theory i.e. Follow the Leader Theory. This is a different aspect of Pillars. This is useful, only in very rare situations when certain ruleset fulfils. Where one follows the Follow the Leader Theory or Missing element concept. Other than this, your default cure is still based on the Five Elements. This is the basic fundamental for all Feng Shui theories. 2. Essentially, you still need to follow the Five Elements Concept. Where one needs to seek a balance. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Firstly, don't get confused. 1. Gua or Kua number is soley based on one's Year of birth. 2. A proper ba zi chart or the free chart provided on this website takes into account one's Year, Month, Day and if one know's one's hour of birth, ba zi is an interaction of all these variables: heavenly stems and earthly branches to find out our element and strength. 2. Furthermore, Gua is soley based on the Eight House or Ba Chai compass school and is one one of the methods used to assess a direction that is or is not suitable to us. 3. I am not going to go into details as all the available information can easily be found on any of these topics: Compass School: Eig…

Dear Dylan, Please see below:- Being earth, becomes more a supporting strength. But does not take into consideration based on the strength of the element. In Spring, Wood is strongest. Thus in Spring, it destroys `earth'. Thus weaking earth element. Glad that you enjoyed the website:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Anon, Sorry as I am pretty busy, I did not do an anlaysis for princess Diana. However, I will still answer you with regards to the information you have posted. There are exceptions that even if you are a strong element, it is still good for you to have the element that produce it. Likely answers are:- 1. Feng Shui is about balance, thus creating a full balance in your entire chart is also important. 2. It may come to a stage for her where there may be excessive Fire and Earth which exhaust her strong wood and destroys her water too much that she becomes extremely weak wood. 3. The circumstances in her situation may require water to balance the situation etc. There are …

Dear Ang Jen, 1. Elementt analysis under jobs or occupations sounds quite `scary' if one says that the job should be related to `fire' element. However, if one looks at it closely, it does not really mean `fire' as in contact with the real thing like a fireman's occupation or job. 2. But rather Fire element can be a range of jobs relating to e.g. sales, marketing, or anything that has `fire' or `drive' in it. 3. Therefore, for example if one is in computers, in contact with fire could suggest jobs relating to marketing of computer products etc.. 4. Other broad areas could include System Analyst e.g. in areas of project management i.e. task oriented work where tasks need t…

Dear Jezamine, 1. Under Pillars of Destiny, one should look at the final element. This `final element' is based on the analysis of all your elements to come up with the main element that you are. And either weak or strong. 2. An analysis would have taken care of whether you lack wood or water. It may not necessary be the element you are lacking but like you mentioned, it may e.g. be other element. 3. It is best to determine the proper element and strength rather than make a guess as there is a difference between e.g. weak fire or strong fire. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carlisha, This generally tells me that you are not born with a silver spoon, which means that you life is not very smooth sailing, and that you have to work extremely hard to overcome your difficulties. And that often you will meet with obstacles in whatever you do. Please take note here also, that in the free version several analysis are not taken into consideration so, your actual chart may not necessary be so very bad as changes may occur along your life which alters your luck period for certain period. Generally, since you are a weak fire, so having more favourable elements in your life eg. wood, fire. Will be better than having more unfavourable elements…

Dear Anon, Ba Zhi is the romanised word = Eight Characters. In fact " Eight Characters " is actually Pillars of Destiny. The reason why it is often called Eight Characters is because Pillars of Destiny consists of 4 Pillars x 2 elements (stem and branch). Therefore " Four Pillars or Pillars of Destiny " is based on 4 Pillars x 2 elements = 8 characters = Eight Characters or Ba Zhi. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Diane, Yes, it can be worked out and already exists in our Group Analysis report which we have yet to release to the general public. The binding element would be two elements combination:- They are metal and wood. Or water & wood. - metal/water for weak water - wood for weak fire By strengthening weak water which destroy fire, you will enhance water strengthen. Then having Wood, it exhaust water and give strength to weak fire. So this way, both benefit from it. However, this means you need to apply two different elements instead of one common binding element. This is quite usual for many scenarios as well. However, usuall mean a not so favourable compatibility a…

Dear Iris, Please see below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: "pillars-of-destiny Listmanager" To: Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2000 7:21 AM Subject: Eight house - opposite to husband Based on what you had mentioned above, you should not be standing infront of the main door and then take the compass direction. (Reference on correct method of compass reading using an ordinary compass: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm ) You should not be duly `worried' about this. As you are not the only person who faces such a situation. The key point is to remember that in the Eight House:- 1. Generally, it looks at how suitable the house is to the breadwinner i.e. i…

Hi, Please read below:- No, you cannot. Pillars or any other theories do have their own sets of limitations. You cannot tell from a Pillars whether they will make a good husband or not. In fact I don't think there is any such tools can do so. Pillars can only deduce a person's destiny - meaning tell you what you can expect in your lifes, the element you belong to etc. Knowing this can be very beneficial for you because you can improve your life by making sure you follow your favourable elements. There are some that tells a little bit of characteristics, but for characteristics I find that the Personal Star which uses Chinese Astrology based on a Three Lives theor…

Dear Madan, Actually, I don't think the chart is as bad as you think. Currently, I generated one paid report based on it, however, as I do not have the hour of birth. I only got the 4 pillar (day, month, year & conception). The missing hour and life pillar may affect the reading further. However, it looks to me like a chart with certain missing elements. There might be additional elements revealed from the Life pillar which makes it quite an average chart. with a slightly higher emotional intelligence deity. I haven't really look through the details as there is a missing hour of birth which will make the reading different from that which you provided anyway. However h…

Dear Carlos, Please see below:- Please note that there are two categories here:- 1. Actual, academic interpretation of each of the numbers based on the Flying Star numerology. The Flying Star numbers and their significance:- 1 = water (blue, black or grey) 2 = strong earth (yellow) 3 = strong wood (green) 4 = weak wood (green) 5 = strong earth (Bad Yellow) 6 = strong metal (gold) 7 = weak metal (gold) 8 = small earth (yellow) 9 = fire (red, pink or purple) 2. What you may be confused about is about the Chinese `rhyme' or `verse' created to give a practitioner a sense of what is "good" and what is "bad". This has much to do, with trying to create something which one ca…

Dear Jack, Yes, for greater accuracy you should consider yourself a `Strong Wood' person. The ver 8 pillars, takes into consideration two more pillars (Life pillars) i.e. House of Conception and House of Life. With the two more pillars, there are 4 more variables (two more stems and two more branches). In the past, there are additional pillars both cater to Yin Feng Shui but is not added here because it no longer is relevant to us. In many cases, usually ver 7 will be similar to ver 8. But the normal pillars ( ver 7) based on Year, Month, Day and Time of birth will provide : 4 stems + 4 branches = a total of 8 variables. With only this 8 variables, the probability of `…

Dear Maggie, 1. Based on what u had mentioned, there is no poison arrows (sharp corners) from the windows. 2. As for a double decker bed, some FS practitioners feel that to them, a bed above another bed is like the same concept of a `beam.' In my opinion, as the bed is spread evenly above and furthermore, there are so many people in the world who had in one way or another sleep in such beds, there is I feel no issue on this for most of us. Personally, when I was young had also slept in them. I personally did not as far as I can remember have any ill effects. Many people, I come across also do not face any problems also. For those who may have sleep related problems, coul…

Dear Cheui May, One method is the `type' of house. For example, under the Eight House Theory, each direction has a specific compass direction. For example, North represents Water and generally, this type of house is a `Water' house. Nowadays, this is infact `incorporated' under the analysis e.g. Eight House and less meaningful today. This is also because the centrepoint of the house is the Earth element. It is more important to consider: 1. Your element and strenght 2. the Flying Star of the house 3. Shapes and Form 4. How suitable are you to the house (Eight House). Warmest Regards, Cecil
