Highline Residences Condo & Shapes and Forms with Flying Star Feng Shui 1. Under Shapes and Forms it is good that this development consists of three point-blocks of flats. 1.1 Point-block flats have it's advantages as air or qi circulates quickly around each block / stack ensuring that all stacks/units are airy. 2. Another good point is that this development faces true-cardinal points of North 0/360 / South 180 degrees / East 90 degrees. 2.1 A safe consideration under Flying Stars Feng Shui. As in some developments the facing direction of a few stacks borderline between e.g. N2 and N3 facing directions. 2.2 Here, even if the stacks are …

Erh.. How do I climb down into the pool. Or how do I climb up the pool? This is not a Magician trick... Just that the developer placed an extensive guard rail to prevent anyone climbing down or pushed down the steps into the Hillvista condo pool. Thus, don't worry it is not an illusion! When this condo TOP; for sure, the barrier will be lifted. Please don't quote me on this! If you don't believe; when I next visit this condo during TOP; will show you a photo proof of it! Cheers!

East Tudor, a landed property area was once on a hilly land of a cemetery. In fact, my grandfather was buried on this land in the early 1960’s. A near-by estate Tanah Merah Green also landed housing is just beside this cemetery plot.

Sometime around 1976, the government standardised the numbering of homes. Around the British times, a ground floor unit for eg. Is numbered say No. 20. A unit above this is numbered 20A, the 3rd storey is numbered 20B. But the folly of this is if it is a high rise exceeding 20Z, what happens? Before 1976 (thereabouts): a flat address could be Block B, unit 508. But after 1976 onwards this flat is known as Blk B, #06-08. The government added an additional storey: the ground floor unit or for HDB flats with a void deck is added to the count. This is why 508 changed: wh…

Recently, a client asked me whether, should he consider buying a semi-detached: marked in red as "X" in the attachment. He was also concerned with the road "leading" towards the newly TOP semi-detached. home. He is correct to be concerned. The stretch of road marked as "A" and highlighted in bold yellow is not advantages to that home.

Today, 26 June 2002, I passed by this condominium. At Regent Grove Condominium's upper decks in the car park (located along Choa Chu Kang Drive), a banner indicates that there are still "choice units" up for grabs. It seems peculiar that despite obtaining its TOP (Temporary Occupation Permit) in 2000, which was two years ago, and its close proximity to Yew Tee MRT, there are still no interested buyers. It is strongly advised to steer clear of this location at all costs! (Developer: Orchard Parade Holdings Ltd & Yeo Hiap Seng Ltd). Tenure: 99 years. Total of 553 units.

Credit: The Sunday Times, Singapore 02 April 2017 Another iconic landmark: No. 22 Hillside Drive known as Lakshmi Villa by mid-June 2017 will be torn down as it was expensive to up-keep and maintain this property. Formerly it was jointly built via a joint-venture with Mr Benson Ho, 60, a property developer from Invest-Ho Property to develop this 20,000 square feet property. What was unique to this property is that it has one of the last "clear" wells in Singapore. And the family regards this "clear" water as good luck. In the 1950's most bungalows in Katong area for example were only 10,000 square feet. Thus, this site w…

Impact of cooling measures introduced on 11 Jan 2011 18th January 2013 Summary For those smart people who do not want to waste their time reading all the details: The Singapore Property Market has become one with very low upside potential in the medium term (3 ? 5 years), but with quite significant downside risks. Low upside because: The govt is committed to not letting the prices to go up significantly. High Downside because: Huge supply (200 k units), and lower demand (reduction of foreign labour). Possible course of action if you agree with the above analysis : If you do not have any sentimental or intangible value for your apartment, it is perhaps a good time to s…

Part 1: Resources - inZ Residence EC @ Choa Chu Kang / Tengah is another new project to be launched early this year. 1. This 99 year leasehold development consisting of 490 units will have nine blocks of up to 15 to 16 storeys high. 2. The most distinctive feature of this development are the generous Reinforced Concrete or RC ledges:- 3. The RC ledges not only gives this development a distinct external outline but follows the 1950's art-deco era of form and function. 4. The function is that it allows each individual unit to have as many windows or openings partially or even fully opened without unduly concerned with the elements such as wind and …

"We have recently discovered that the Developer is under liquidation by way of a members' voluntary winding up since 1 February 2023." Is it important to choose a reliable developer? Yes, especially for at least the first 10 years. Given that many developers / main contractor provides specific warranties. For example: major defects, water proofing issues etc...

Dear All, In the early 1980's, when I did my reservist training; during defence exercise at Sembawang/Yishun; some of the troops doing defence work; while digging defensive trench, found a wood coffin. This area is closer to Sembawang Park/upper Yishun or Yishun North area. There is really no issue with this. Often, it is best that proper rites were performed and locations should be cleansed of all burial sites. This is more important for the first few years prior to the built up of flats in Yishun. Today, or by now, all yin qi should have been cleansed since Yishun now is a hive of human activity; vehicular movement and much yang activity. In fact, many parts of Singapor…

Dear Stan, Yes, earlier, I do agree with your dad that the earlier unit is much better unit based on my earlier reasons. With respect to this two new units; please note the following:- 1. My views are strictly related to top-view shapes and forms. For example, it does not relate to the level / storey of the apartment; any tall lone trees or any other sha qi. 2. I personally prefer 805 next to Peiying Primary School as it seems able to catch in `qi' from all directions in a balanced way. 3. Furthermore, the most attractive thing is not so much of FS, but rather the close proximity to the Khatib MRT station. But do check out what is the `penetrating' noise level in the unit…

Dear Users, 1. This year, we received personal faxes from at least 13 users of this forum. 2. For those who were located in Singapore, I had personally called up the user to ask if they had financial problems. So far, all either by sheer coincidence had some of these problems:- 1. Toilet at the centre-point or they had been advised to place a fish tank at the centre point. 2. Several respondent's ba zi is either weak fire element or strong water persons. 3. In many instances, the main door is at their death or disaster sector. All the above users had financial problems. Five were unemployed. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Daphne, In a tropical country such as ours, there is a quirk with the application of the East/West group of persons or known as Eight House. This is especially so, if the living room; several bedrooms and even the master bedroom is `bathe' by the afternoon sun (West facing) or even the morning sun (East facing). One significant concern is if these rooms face another block of flats. The direct sun light and reflected (sha qi) from other close-by buildings will totally reduce the advantage of having a house face our good direction. I feel that such cosmic `radiation' (especially with the ozone layer hole) may be detrimental to many of us in the long run. Especially i…

Jui Residence single block looks "neat" and smart. And looks like it has retained the former National Aerated Water Company frontage (nice):- Jui Residences at 1117 Serangoon Road is located beside a drain at the former National Aerated Water Company (NAWC). In the past, NAWC produced Kickapoo Joy juice, Sinalco and Royal crown cola. Kickapoo Joy juice is still sold today. While Sinalco and Royal crown cola all but disappeared. What a waste that the iconic facade of the National Aerated Water Company has to be demolished. Many of such iconic Aerated Water Company facades were demolised .. Yeo Hiap Seng, Bukit Timah, Fraser and Neave at Delta Avenue...…

Kallang Riverside @ 51 Kampong Bugis (Freehold condo) Units are either N1 or S1 facing. From a Shapes and Forms point of view, riverside view is always the first choice. As the forms prevail over the stars (Flying Stars). Under Flying Star Feng Shui: N1 has the auspicious double 8s at it's frontage. Good as it's frontage has a water position. Good if the master bedroom is located at NE sector. As it has good auspicious star combinations of MS#6 + WS#1. If a bedroom is located at East is good for a bedroom cum study. The rest of other sectors has inauspicious stars. And may need to be disarmed. …
