Gramercy Park by CDL formerly Lucky Towers 1. My first impressions of this condo's name Gra - mercy? I simply don't like this unusual non-English name. Especially when I "break-it up" as above. 1.1. No offence, initially I also thought that Gramercy is a new horror movie like gremlins or something of that nature. 2. Straits Mansions in district 15 Katong is a freehold development. This single block of flats has a total of 6 stacks. Majority of the development in this area faces Flying stars NW3 or SE3. In this development: stacks 2, 3 and 4 faces NW3. While stacks 1, 5 & 6 faces SE3. Stacks 2, 3 and 4 are NW3 faces another development Sea Avenue Mansions. Sometime around 1976, the government standardised the numbering of homes. Around the British times, a ground floor unit for eg. Is numbered say No. 20. A unit above this is numbered 20A, the 3rd storey is numbered 20B. But the folly of this is if it is a high rise exceeding 20Z, what happens? Before 1976 (thereabouts): a flat address could be Block B, unit 508. But after 1976 onwards this flat is known as Blk B, #06-08. Alana a Hawaiian theme development at Sunshine Terrace a three storey cluster housing with condo facilities. For cluster houses and landed properties; it is good to superimpose the 1st storey layout with the 2nd storey layout. What to look out for? The main consideration is where is the kitchen and the stove location. For example, when I superimpose the above; I found that the kitchen stove on level 1 is directly above the illustrated bed-head poistion of bedroom 2 on level 2. Many of Singapore's oldest Shopping malls or shopping centres are opened in the late 1970s. Many of these shopping centres are now tucked away with poor mix of shops. Many of the older ones are popular with renovation contractors and maid agencies. These shops are not a popular draw of crowds in Singapore who wants to relax and `window shop'. Sims Ville Condominium was completed in 1998. TOP same year. Developer: Sims Place Realty Ltd (CapitalLand) - formerly developed by DBS. Tenure: 99 Years Location: Geyland East Avenue 2 In my opinion, this condo has `several' landmines within it's vicinity, Chinese temples, mosque, church. The MRT track is also close-by.
