The Crest Jointly developed by WingTai Land & Metro Australia and Shapes and Forms Feng Shui It is always good to one in a while hear how the architect in this case a Japanese architect designed the whole concept of the design of each block and how these relate to each other.... P.S. This is not Feng Shui. But it is a pity that this is only a 99 leasehold development. Or a blessing in disguise? As after 70 years or more (being pretty old by then); less likely to be pulled-down for redevelopment..

This is a tiny condo development with a total of 34 units. Tenure left is 947 years to go. Estimated completion date is in mid 2011. It's a very uncommon "V" shaped layout plan. Flying star is a Period8 development. The main block with stacks 06& 07 facing NW. While stacks 08& 09 facing SE. And a smaller block with stacks 01 & 02 West 2 facing. And stacks 3 & 4 East 2 facing. I brought out this site as another example where we have to be careful of the "porcupines" i.e. sharp corners aimed at the individual units. Please refer to attachment: In this example, the most distinct poison arrow is the purple marking "D" where the sharp corner of stack 0…

If you are an architect or developer; please take note of this illustration. The architect of this small development of landed properties have cleverly made sure that none of the landed properties within this estate is affected by a home at the "T" junction. Please see attachment: circled in red. Instead of squeezing one or two more homes between this empty space, they have thus avoided what would have been a home facing a "T" Junction. An excellent way to over-come a home at a "T" Junction! Architects should learn from this Far East development.

This was the original location of Woodbridge Hospital: The road leading to it was Jalan Woodbridge. In 2001, the developer MCL wrote in to change this road Jalan Woodbridge to Gerald Drive. This was approved. As Woodbridge Hospital moves further down a few kilometres away. Today the epic centre where it once stood is exactly at Hougang Primary School grounds. Close to this is Hougang One (formerly Hougang Point). In close proximity are HDB flats Blocks 970, 927, 938 etc..

Many Geomancers and buyers always feel uncomfortable with the unit circled in the picture. Most Geomancers would consider that it is no good to stay in a home with a hollow below the home... And visually, many would feel "insecure" even if it is structually safe! Thus most likely, it can affect the re-sale of that unit...

Part 1 - Introduction to The Jovell Condo @ Flora Drive by Hong Leong Holdings The large piece of land as it was in 1965. Hong Leong has the wisdom to purchase large plots including the other plot to built Carissa Park etc.. Most prominent landmark in 1966 was Yan Kit Village. Today, this landmark is the temple. And Changi Prison. Otherwise good news is that the entire plot as highlighted in red is vacant virgin land. And The Jovell will be the last development asit completes the full built-up on this plot of land:- 2018 streetmap showing clearly The Jovell occupying the last piece of land. The bad news for it’s neighbours is that they have to…

We are a nation at war. And we have a different kind of enemy... Truly sad news for the people of Singapore. Ten years is a short-time! (If all goes well for them seven years is a possibility) I am not just talking about loss of jobs. Your home today is worth more than 1 million. In 10 years time... if this materialises... don't ever think about it....

The Morris Residences @ Paya Lebar Cres and Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. This 10 strata terrace houses sits on a elongated pyramid. With a overly huge base. Please see illustration. Are you able to see an outline of a knife similar to a parang? The architect has tried to make the homes as rectangular as possible with the exception of two houses: no. 63 and 63J. The overall outline of the perimeter of this development under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is inauspicious for these three homes: No. 49 and 51 Tai Keng Gardens. And the side of no. 65 Paya Lebar Cres. Fortunately, for no. 49 and 51. A high…

1. The trellis does not present any danger to any blocks, stacks, or units within this development, as it runs parallel to the two sets of blocks. 2. In the accompanying layout, the positive aspect is that, despite the stove being directly across from the sink, there is a VOID separating them. However, the negative aspect is that this particular layout is regarded as having "poor shapes and forms."

1. The 2 bedder... interior layout.... not that fantastic. 2. The 3 bedder... also not that ideal.... 3. Just when I thought that everything looks fine for the 4 bedder... Oops, oops and more oops! (See attachment) 4. Condo better than HDB? Hmm.. I don't ever recall a single HDB flat having it's toilet sharing / next to the main entrance door... This developer (and their architect) should take a cue from Public housing.... This sucks!

Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; the Panorama at Ang Mo Kio is situated on a "boot shaped" site. The architect wraps the 6 blocks in this site around the "perimeter" of the development. Thus majority of the pool is within the centre of the development and flows towards the NE and vice-versa. With such a configuration; inadvertently one of the stacks #27 has a corner of it's stack/block aimed towards stack #08. And around 50 percent of the blocks/stacks are either exposed to direct afternoon sun or at a slanted angle. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, Block 18 stack 30 is in my opinion the "best" stack in this development. Erh if you had bought …

1. The Petals is one of the sites with good effort on Shapes & Forms Feng Shui. The six blocks are harmoniously blended into not exactly a triangle site. 2. It looks modern yet, its profile looks like the side of an olive or even a rugby ball. Each of the 6 blockssuppose to looklike petals ofthe flower.. that is how the condo was named after. 3. One of the most friendly designs. If one looks at each block closely in relation to the other 5 blocks (total of 6 blocks); there are no sha qi or poison arrows aimed at one another. 4. Another advantage of this type of blocks is that qi can flow easily between all the blocks without creating unnecessary "distrubed wind …

Development: The Petals Condominium Developer: Centrepoint Properties Ltd Total of 270 condominium units Tenure: Freehold TOP: Within 6 months time (Approximately at end of this year 2002) URL: http://www.centrepointhomes.com/petals_site.asp In my opinion, this Type C1 layout (see attached) is a typical Feng Shui nightmare. What's bad:- 1. Toilet(s) next to main entrance - Fatal error Fortunately, many of the condominium developments do not have a toilet next to the main door. The only other development, which I can think of that has this bad arrangement is the Regent Grove condominium. So far if I am not mistaken some of the units at Regent Grove are still available i.e…

Kindly follow this link to access a comprehensive review of The Pinnacle@Duxton: The Pinnacle@Duxton comprises seven slender towers, each standing 48 storeys high. This project will represent the tallest public housing in Singapore, being twice the height of the majority of Housing Board flats. Collectively, the seven slender towers will take on the appearance of a massive curved screen, interconnected at their 26th storeys and at the roof level by sky gardens that include jogging tracks and various sports and recreational amenities. This project was originally scheduled for completion in 2007. However, it now appears that the completion date is set f…
