While 2. mountain stars, is best activated in an enclosed environment or "blocked" by a mountain. Dear Carolyn, In general, it is acceptable to place a water feature where there is a water star #8 (current prosperity) sector. Even if we want to place a water feature, it should also "look appropriate" at a location that is "functional" and not obstrusive to the interior decor. Without a picture or sketch, really cannot imagine the layout thus it can be on the right corner or within the sector - that's OK. DearJian Rong, It may not necessarily be true that all Period 7 homes should be converted to Period 8 to enjoy better qi. For example, if your home is a North 1 (337.5 to 352.4 degrees or 345 degrees, home; You have to study your layout before committing to changing to Period 8. A million thanks. One final question. One of the well-known masters in HK mentioned that, in order to move from period 7 to period 8, the following applies:- 1. For house/ apartment / flat - Find an austpicious date and change the kicthen's cooktop (in cantonese - "Lou") It will be as good as moving buildingto Period 8. 2. In your facing Palace, there is a Mountain star 5 which is untimely star for Period 8, hence you cannot use Yang water to activate Water star 8. Yin water is preferred in this Palace. Dear Cecil, According to the text in the book I had read, we need proper forms to activate timely stars for the following special Flying Star charts : 1.Sum to Ten chart. 2. Parent String chart. 3. Pearl String Chart. I know for Sum to Ten and Parent String special charts, the building must be a complete square or rectangle; missing corners are not allowed for these special charts. Dear SF Choe, Quote: Renovations included relocating 3 toilets/bathrooms, tearing down and creating some walls in all 3 floors, and extended tha back of house further by 5ft (2 storeys high and additional new 5ft roof added). Completely newly replaced were water piping, all the flooring, ceiling and electrical wiring. All in, I would say about 80% of the house was renovated.
