Flying Star Feng Shui (Xuan Kong Fei Xing)

Learn how to determine whether your house is good or bad

  1. Started by myfs_133719,

    1. Please refer to your para 1. Taking up a proper Flying Star course with any specific master will often give you the breakdown of such things as the 81 combinations which you had described under "often quoted in the fomat of e.g. 1-2 or 1.2. " And you will certainly learn more. 2. Please refer to your para 2. Yes, if you have the time to read e.g. the forum messages you will find examples like : NW = Head of the house (male breadwinner) and such things like "fire at heaven gate" etc.... If you have studied some of the reasources; even in every season, earth is abundance and earth occurs in every season except that they occur at every "low" of each season or when the s…

Aquarium should be ok with th eright number of fish and/or colour choice of fishes it will already be able to contain Metal. Alternatively, put in like 6/8 coins into the aquarium which represent metal and luck also possible. The best kind of aquarium is one which contain a little of each five element. As for windchime, I would avoid it. As this sometimes if placed wrongly can be irritating and attract unwanted spirits.Crystals should be fine. Hope that helps. Dear Mr Cecil Lee Thank you so much for all your generous advice. I am still unable to upload my attachment. It is just a simple sketch showing my drain water flowing from the back to the front part of my house which pass by my main door from right to left and exit at the extreme left end. We have been pondering to engage feng shui master to audit our house. However, we could not afford one at this moment due to our financial difficulties. We will definitely contact you when times are better. Anyway, we are very grateful to all your advice. You certainly have great and good karma for being able to share so much with everyone. Best of luck! Regards Guek Rian

Dear Maria, The distinction here is what tool is used to take the compass reading of the front/main entrance door? Here, in my opinion, usually the confusion arised because of the instruction(s) given by various parties. A. If one is using an ORDINARY compass, then use this method: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm One will normally not go wrong using the above method. B. But if one is using a Chinese LUOPAN, then, measurement can be different. Here, it is not uncommon to find out the facing and sitting direction. Thus, one has to be absolutely CLEAR which TOOL is being used. For the flow of Qi, on `paper' since the main entrance has been considered as the MOUTH…

Hi, Please read below:- It is not only the years, but the direction of the main door which determines whether a house is good or bad. The Eight House can only be used as a guide and is best to suit the breadwinner of the house. The other alternative is to trust your own personal instinct. Do you often have this kind of feeling that when you enter a certain house, you just do not feel comfortable? That is you own personal instinct. Which in most cases should be pretty ok. As I have always mentioned, the theories can do so far to help, what is more important you like the place, and then after you have selected the place, check it out with the various tools to help…

Dear Deoyani, 1. To the Chinese, we are very particular about feet facing the main door (or bedroom door). This is because, we call this the "coffin position" where, some still practise bringing the coffin into the home. And when the time is up for funeral ceremony, the coffin is moved with the feet first out of themain door. 2. For other races, if the above is not practised, this is not so bad. 3. Based on Commonsense approach to Feng Shui, many of us may not like (e.g. in an apartment or landed property) if we were to open the main door, let others view our entire body since our leg is facing the door. 4. The last resort is (if no choice is to) close the bedroom…

Dear Elena, You brought up an interesting question. 1. Usually, one major influence is also the exterior of the house. 2. A major renovation does change the birth chart of the house. 3. In order to change the birth chart of the house, one has to understand that it has to be an `old' house. For example, Period 7 is between Chinese New Year 1984 to 2003. If the house was built in 1995. No matter how ones change i.e. a major renovation, it is not going to help as it will still remain a Period 7 house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. Frankly, there is no issue with maintaining existing lawn. 2. However, do take note:- 2.1 NO DIGGING - distrubing the soil e.g. to remove a tree stump... 2.2 NO PILING work 3. Trimming the grass; adding fertiliser or even the dog doing it's business or dog "watering" the lawn are acceptable - no hassle sort of thing. 4. No issue also for anyoneto walk, run, playall over the lawn or even double park another car on it. Acceptable.

Dear Wei Li, Actually, this year, Grand Duke is suppose to be in the North-West. While north is the 3 killings. What is more important is that Grand Duke is in NW and not North, thus, there is no clash with Grand Duke, this year for the study table at the North. The 3 killings north is that one should not do renovations, this year and does not affect the placement of work station, there. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lim Wei Li Lim Wei Li wrote: You have done reading for us before. However, I am confused of this. I was reading the materials you gave us. Dear Laurie, 1. Yes, Flying Star is based on the 9 periods of the Chinese calendar system. 2. For the benefit of users who are not aware what is the nine periods. You can view this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-calendar.htm 3. One 1 Cycle of the lunar calendar consists of 180 years or 9 periods x 20 years. 4. Each cycle is divided into 3 groups: Upper, Middle and Lower. Each group comprise 3 periods. Each period is 20 years. 5. This is where the Flying Star Feng Shui is based on this 20 year cycle. 6. And as you have mentioned can be classified as the Year cycle. From what you had mentioned, it is true that within each 20 year cycle, the numbers or pe…

This is one of the situations where; perhaps; you really need an expert to be there ON-SITE to do a judgement call. Especially since the new owner(s) are perplexed with the period since you have plotted every of the relevant period chart. Unfortunately, such a huge chunk or mass of words, sentences... can't give a clue, here. "Let's be physicial" = ONSITE : especially the human sight & smell...

  15. Dear Vida, Traditionally, many Chinese homes or homes built in Singapore may consider "spilt-levels". The "spilt-levels" is very common for many homes and apartments built in the 1970's. Here, the idea is that the living room CAN be lower than the dining room. Not the other way around. Usually, this "spilt" is only between the living and dining. And other dining is suppose to be at the "back" area of the home. The kitchen and yard should also be if possible the same level or "slightly" higher than the kitchen is OK. Many Feng Shui practitioners do not like the idea of the living room higher than the dining. And conversely, the dining higher than the back yard / kitchen…

Hi master, can you help me to determine my house facing? I'm confused because we enter mainly through the garage (blue arrow) and enter through the home via "back door." The actual front door is indicated by the red arrow but is mainly just for show to upkeep the neighborhood looks. We use it sometimes but since the garage is in the back, it's more practical to use the back. Does this change the facing? Thank you!

  24. Case Studies: An Overview of How's my luck under Period 9? Many have collected their keys on or between 1984 till 2003. And due to the change of qi, luck can change as we move into year 2024 onwards. Some have by now felt things may not be smooth or have health issues. The reality is the Feng Shui Qi or lucky sectors will change for either for the better or for the worse. 1. N1 [Less lucky under Period 9. It also depends on the layout plan.] 2. N2/3 [Luck should be better under Period 9. Again depends on the layout plan.] 3. NE1 [Luck should be better under Period 9. Again depends on the layout plan.] 4. Dear Anon, Please see below:- 1.In Group Both the main door For main door, will it Overall, the analysis is based on the Eight House Theory. And for sectors of the birth chart of the house are out of balance under the Flying Star, this should best be neutralised as soon as possible. There is a contradiction in Feng Shui principles. Here, it is best that the master of the house (where possible) should best occupy the master bedroom. You may have to do with exisiting situation. 2.For another Sorry, perhaps you can further elaborate your question. It is also good to look at the Flying Star chart of your house for Period 8. To see if it is significantly be…
