Flying Star Feng Shui (Xuan Kong Fei Xing)

Learn how to determine whether your house is good or bad

  1. The inauspicious earth 2 is the water star. This is killed/neutralised by (mountain) wood 3. As a result wood 3 is exhausted in the above equation. Thus, one can place a yin metal cure for this sector. Or rather, on average: metal is the most appropriate cure for this sector.

Dear Jean, Generally, there should not be an issue as each intermediate terrace has it's own space. And in Feng Shui, each intermediate terrace owns a site. And can be distinct from each other. The major concerns would be any water course e.g. large drain(s) on the side of the home or a large drainage behind the home etc... Nevertheless, each site should be considered separately and since often no two sites are the same, a proper FS assessment should be made specific to that plot of land. Thus what I had mentioned, now or in the past are general statements or general comments, only. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  3. Dear Lionel, Quote: I was told that I should increase the ?water? for the sector 7,9 (3). I also understand that a mountain painting is always encouraged to be placed behind our seat to act as a ?support?. However, doesn?t a mountain symbolize the ?earth? which is not encouraged for the sector 7,9 (3)? To encourage water in that sector, you can consider having the room painted light blue. That will add water to the room. As for the picture, mountain picture is always nice. Anyway, if based on the 7 (Metal), 9 (Fire), 3 (Wood), adding Water and mountain painting will create a harmonious environment. ie Metal -

Dear Roeland, Glad that you are enjoying the website. Roeland de Looff wrote: In different posts you say that you do not like all the fuzz that is made about the yearly stars since this isbased on the base star only. For example if the yearly 5goes to a sector, that does notgive a lot of information becausewho knows there may be auspiciousyearly water or yearly mountain stars in that sector for a particular house also. Flying Star of a sector compose of Base Star, Water and Mountain Star, followed by Yearly, Monthly Stars. The overall influence of a sector comes from the Base Star, Water and Mountain Star. The yearly star is only there to stay for that current year. S…

    1. Yes, Feng Shui is indeed an in-exact science. 2. In my opinion, water-mountain stars with it's 81 combinations are more widespread. And period is also considered under this overall assessment.

Dear Alvin, In my opinion, Tai Sui or Grand Duke location is at South South West or 210 degrees this year. (And not exactly at true West i.e. 270 degress.) If you have a compass, do check whether the direction is 210? If not, then no issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. I can understand the problem faced in renting an apartment. 2. As the Flying Star theory is based on the condition of finding the birth chart of the house. Or if there is a major renovation. This changes the date of birth of the house. 3. As for your question on using the date of moving. This does not change the birthdate of the home. Thus, one should not use the above information. As the Flying Star is based on 20 year periods, e.g. 1984 to 2003, it is `less' of a problem for those who rent a place built in a specific period i.e. one does not need to know or (care) if the house was built in 1985 or 1986. 4. It is difficult to change the theory to suit …

  12. These are some considerations: 1. Shapes and Forms prevail over flying stars. Thus, it depends! 2. The main concepts need to be considered before one can "condemn" a home based purely on the "stars". 2.1. Feng Shui Triage Proper trouble-shooting is required. In order to determine how "bad" the situation really is. In many homes, even if as what you have described; one has to look at the overall and not just based on one or two things and speculate that it is really, really that bad?2.2. Fix-the-Leak, First! Easily three or more major problems. For many homes, even if there is even one or "two" leaks, usually most homes can sustain such issues 2.3. The Concept of Maximizin…

Dear Regina, In a recent sicence world documentary, it was found that a University of London study found that: 1. Patients trying to recover from a dental surgery or pulling of the teeth often have a swelling on their cheek. 2. In the University of London study, a group was given pacebo ("sugar coated pill") and someone attended to the patient with an ultrasonic machine (turned off) but this attendant goes thru the motion of "rubbing" this "high-tech" equipment on the person's cheek. 3. Based on the documentary, nearly 60 percent of this respondent (patients) fair better than anyone else who were not given such a "treatment" and drug. 4. One conclusion was that if on…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- 1. The mountain star can only be activated at e.g. the backdoor, or in a room with a wall. It cannot be activated if it is a window area. 2. Usually, one should not activate the mountain star and the water star together. If one really insists, the "mountain" should be closest to the wall - away from the water position. I.e. the water position has to be moved further out. Here, you still can have the mountain (with the back support or wall. In front of it, is the water position. This concept is similar to the frontage of the house facing a water position and the back, with a solid backing. Here, the only difference is that this is `comp…

Dear Vijay, Chinese Astrology and Eight House Charts ======================================== For the Eight House Charts (Compass School Feng Shui), the year of birth is enough. This is also commonly the type of information found on Chinese astrology books. In general, therefore, you are considered as a male "dragon" person - born in that year. Pillars of Destiny ================== Here, some practitioners may simply look at just the Year of birth. Some may look at the Year and Month of birth. While others may take into consideration: Year, Month, Day, Hour and Time of birth. While others may go further to look at Year, Month, Day, Hour, Time, House of Life and House of …

These are some of the considerations:- 1. In gambling e.g. in casino(s); much of your luck dependsboth on the "location" - no longer your home and in most instances weightage goes to the house. 2. For your own home; Yes, you can still try to squeeze out some luck: especially activating Mountain star #8 and even Water star #8 as these are your current prosperity stars. 3. In addition, since you are into"gambling" you need to consider disarming both #3 = quarrels, scandals, lawsuits ... and #7 "robbery" star i.e. robbed of opportunity to win each time. 4. If you can take note of the annual stars; it would be great. But usually, if the home has already been "balanced" o…

Dear Miriam, Compass school FS can be quite confusing: 1. In the past, where many people are not as knowledgeable of FS as today, some practitioners can simply get away with just practising one form of FS. 2. In my country, even today, there are FS practitioners who: 2.1 Practise only the Eight House or Easterners and Westerners or 4 good or 4 bad directions FS. 2.2. Some FS practitioners who prefer mathematics side or (for some) can only relate in terms of the mathematics e.g. #4 #5 etc... 2.3. Many FS practitioners simply use Shapes and Forms. 2.4. Some FS practitioners practise the Compass School i.e. Eight House with Flying Star. While others practise this with Shapes…

Assuming that your "house" youare referrring to a landed property: if you have garden, the best solution(s) are: 1. Landscaping: 1.1. If it is soil and grass patch area, then you can outline a profile such that from a helicopter view; you can seen a distinct outline of the missing corner. 1.2 In addition, a lamp-post at the corner of this profile would be good. For example, nowadays, there are solar panel lightinings - canuse it instead of the troublesome laying ofpower cables to the lightning point. 2.Concrete or tiled area: 2.1. Make use of flower pots to go along the profile of the outline of the missing corner.

Dear HP, In my opinion, your home is still considered as a Period 7 home. This is because Lunar New Year falls on 22 Jan 2004 and it ends only on the 15th day after 22 Jan 2004. And 6 Feb falls within this "curcial" new year period. Anyway, a Period 7 home can change or remain at Period 7 or to Period 8. While a Period 8 home cannot go back to the past. In order to go back to the past: Please purchase "Back to the Future: Part III" video. "Surely, one can than imagine going to the past *JOKE* Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear David, Please see below:- Glad you find this site useful. Feng Shui is all about balance. When an "anomaly" or an imbalance has been detected, one important thing to remember is that one must use the right `cure' for the right situation. Here, it is best to `convert' the numbers to their element and its strength. You need to relate it to the Five Element. For example, No. 2 signifies " Strong Earth ". Under the Five Element Concept, you then need to control this element. The clue here is " Earth " and " Strong ". 1. Look for yourself, the Destructive Cycle under the Five Elements Ref: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/5element.htm Here, you will notice that Meta…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. A little knowledge or information is a dangerous thing. 2. One cannot eat and sleep on Flying Star alone. 3. Location, location, location. 4. It is fool hardy to post such a question and "demand" and answer like: WHY? 5. Don't you think that stating just a few lines and then imagine an answer just pops UP or OUT. 6. Do you know that an important ingredient missing here is things like what is the external picture like: many factors like, neighbours, frontage etc... 7. In the past, I mentioned that it is like; you barging into a doctors office and demand an answer! Just imagine, you did not go to the Triage which will investigate an…
