I do agree that it is sometimes very difficult to find out the year which the building built. Especially those old building here in Glasgow. (The one I lived in at the moment!) Hi Cecil, thanks for your reply, NE2 is my livig hall, and you are right SW2 is my kitchen area, actually from the back doorto the main road, there is about 30ft of empty land, i did plant some vege there and it also a area i play with my dogmost the time, butthere also use as my dog daily 'discharge' area. it seem that a bit of dilemma at this moment. the reason behind is my main door is at NE2, if the house facing of SW2 is right, than Water star 8 will be at my NE2 area which is my main door area and living hall, those i can make use the powerful flying star 8 at NE2. i have a thought, will i be a good choice to put a water feature at NE2 to test if there is any mone…

Dear Anon, In general, you have mentioned that your interior of your apartment has been changed to a Period 8 apartment. But your exterior is still considered a Period 7 block. Ideally, of course that the exterior of the building gets a good new coat of paint. And often, many blocks should have been painted by the 5th or 6th or at least the 7th year that it is in. If so, there is no issue since your home (block and apartment) have at least a new coat of paint). The other senario is to do a proper Flying Star chart. As flying star chart looks at the frontage: it is good that also often, the home should not be stuffy and if possible, the whole home should be well venti…

Dear Sophia, Sophia Chia wrote: I found my brother's double- storey terrace house the frontage is facing a hill. As one know that mountain isauspicious behind thehouse. Will there be bad inauspicious to their house or to the family. What will be the cause and if there is an inauspicious, what are the remedies. Ideally, mountain should be behind and frontage should be open. However, it does not mean that just because the house faces the mountain it is inauspicious. Really depends on the house, how high or steep is the mountain. How is the surrounding etc. It does not automatically mean it is not good. Really depends even more on the surrounding houses around it. Hope tha…

Dear Alvin, In my opinion, Tai Sui or Grand Duke location is at South South West or 210 degrees this year. (And not exactly at true West i.e. 270 degress.) If you have a compass, do check whether the direction is 210? If not, then no issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are some of the considerations:- 1. A little knowledge or information is a dangerous thing. 2. One cannot eat and sleep on Flying Star alone. 3. Location, location, location. 4. It is fool hardy to post such a question and "demand" and answer like: WHY? 5. Don't you think that stating just a few lines and then imagine an answer just pops UP or OUT. 6. Do you know that an important ingredient missing here is things like what is the external picture like: many factors like, neighbours, frontage etc... 7. In the past, I mentioned that it is like; you barging into a doctors office and demand an answer! Just imagine, you did not go to the Triage which will investigate an…

Dear Alice, alice q wrote: According to the Eight House report, my husband's excellent direction is East. We saw a terrace house that has a North East facing, which is irritation for him. The master bedroom on the 2nd floor has window facing NE and the room door SW (which is disaster for him). Would this house be bad for us is we were to buy it? This isn't the most suitable house for him as he is an East group person. Usually for East group person, the South or East facing house will be more suitable. However, NE facing house especially for Period 8 (2004-2023) has good Feng Shui luck but needs to have certain sector neutralised to prevent illness/sickness. Given that t…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: To analyze a house number, should I enter the lot number first followed by the street number (e.g., 23-2210)? I am searching for a brand new home inNorth Carolina and found 4 lots (2 facing North and the other 2 facing South). The first North lot number is 23 and the street number is 2210. The second North lot number is 21 and the street number is 2222. Please tell me if they both have bad analysis so I can look for another home builder. The House Number we have on our website, is designed more towards Flats or Apartments within a Condo which has unit number in the format of ie #01-11 etc. This was to allow users to determine whether say a 5th…

Hi Kenny, Take note here, that House Number Feng Shui analysis takes only a small impact on the overall Feng Shui of a house. Feng Shui influences that affect the house are as follows in the following order:- - Shapes and Forms - Flying Star of the House - Eight House Suitability - Ba Zi Feng Shui and the suitability to the house element - House Number Feng Shui The element analysis portion of the House Number does not mean that you have use the element suggested to cure the numbers. It is for your knowledge as to why the numbers are bad. And as mentioned since it only a small portion of impact on a house, there is very little point correcting it. Furthermore, sometimes a…

Dear Agnes, Yes, you should take the Flying Star of Period 7 instead of Period 6 due to the renovation work done. Whenever possible, it is also good to look at both Period 6 and Period 7 chart. Usually, one chart is better than the other. And try to match your personal experience with it. For the Period 7 chart, it may take a while for the chart to show its characteristics. As mentioned earlier, it is good to look at both charts. Yes, usually, Period 6 chart, may continue to be applicable for a while. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Cecil, thanks so much for your prompt response! For clarification, our shingles were replaced without things underneath exposed, so maybe in this instant keeping the period 6 is correct. However, in 2000, we also remodeled kitchen and bathroom quite extensively. Stove were moved to a better Feng Shui location (it was located in the N); a wall was knocked down, water pipes were altered so that we could bring washer and dryer from basement to first floor. Again, my thinking at the time was centering around roof line, if we didn't change roof line, period wouldn't change. But now, I'm not so sure. What do you think? As far as the hill on back. We really do have the faci…

I went nuts with this same issue my house being 1903 ! I never really figured it out, but when I renovated my kitchen I felt the whole energy change. I basically had the rear of the house (where things were really congested before) totally opened up where most of the back wall was gone and the floor of more than 1/3 of the first floor was removed to the joists . This was like that for several days.I hadn't even thought about it til later, but now I used period 8 and also changed facing direction to west from east because it is so much more open to the air and sun in the east now. So read the various methods on when to change but don't discount your intuition also !

If one wants to apply Flying Star; and looking at a frontage; usually, it is best to add higher weightage to EXTERNAL openings, first. (And doors as secondary to the external opening. However, if external openings are always slam-shut; then this is a different cup of tea

Dear Bill, Any additions e.g. installing French windows would not change the birth date. Yes, Feng Shui is very symbolic and painting the entire ceiling would suggest that the birthdate will change. This technique is used by an expert Feng Shui practioner. A "novice" FS practioner may likely ask you to literally remove the entire roof and put it back. Another example of Feng Shui is Sha. One principle is that if you cannot see it, it no longer can harm the household. For example if one can see a pointed corner of another house aimed at your window, if you install a blind or use a thick curtain and cannot see it, the Sha no longer becomes a threat. Warmest Regards, Cecil -…

1. We human beings have our birthday (Date and time of birth). 2. Similarly, a home also has it's birthday. Flying star Feng Shui is about the "birthchart" of a home. 3. In general, the home is considered as the environment we live in. 4. Thus, it is always good to first plot the chart of the home's birth chart e.g. use Flying Star Feng Shui, first. 5. Next, we then apply the Eight House (East/West group). Applying this concept should be considered as "NICE-TO-HAVE" and not a "MUST-HAVE". 5.1. For example, even under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, often even for a bedroom, there are limited ways to place a bed. As there is the bedroom door, often, the attached bathroom…

Dear Tam, Please read below:- Most important is to cure problem areas, and leave the rest as it is so as not to complicate the matters. In Feng Shui, when you try to solve or cure a minor problem, it is as good as trying to enhance a good sector. When all the major problems are solved, you will already enhance your good influences. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Ben, Please see attached file with my comments. 1. Mountain star(s) if found should only be activated at the back of the house. 2. It cannot be activated if say, there is a window or at sliding door(s) or door(s). Warmest Regards, Cecil

For Feng Shui BALANCE is the most important. However, it is not possible to achieve TRUE balance, so at best you want some influence of each element to bring you in balance. So far, I have yet to encounter all the various combinations in real life, so unable to give you much comments here, especially relating to the 10 combination. However, in my research, I did come across many FS master providing this similar combination which produces good influences. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, 1. In the event of a significant renovation, the house typically transitions to a Period 7 house, which spans from 1984 to 2003. 2. For individuals residing in the same home for an extended period, particularly from Period 6, it is advisable to create a Flying Star Chart based on Period 6 for reference. 3. Generally, the house is expected to become a 'Period 7' house. Nevertheless, there may be instances where the birth chart from Period 6 still closely aligns with the current situation. Therefore, it is important to consider Paragraph 3, especially during the initial two years following the renovation. Warmest Regards, Cecil
