Flying Star Feng Shui (Xuan Kong Fei Xing)

Learn how to determine whether your house is good or bad

  1. Started by jasonct,

Dear Anon, Please see below:- 1. The mountain star can only be activated at e.g. the backdoor, or in a room with a wall. It cannot be activated if it is a window area. 2. Usually, one should not activate the mountain star and the water star together. If one really insists, the "mountain" should be closest to the wall - away from the water position. I.e. the water position has to be moved further out. Here, you still can have the mountain (with the back support or wall. In front of it, is the water position. This concept is similar to the frontage of the house facing a water position and the back, with a solid backing. Here, the only difference is that this is `comp…

  2. For such a layout plan, usually best to use the "rudimentary" low-tech method :- 1. photo copy the layout 2. paste it on a card-board 3. cut-out the outline of the unit 4. Try to balance it with a piece of nail or pin the aim is to "try" to find the centre-of-gravity (or centrepoint)

In this case, should we look for a house based on the Eight Mansions or can we choose one that faces the North-East or South-West too? Thanks! Ideally, it would be good to have both the Flying Star Feng Shui (ie North-East/South-West) and your Eight House suitable ie (Prosperity, Excellent etc). However, for most people sometimes the flying star feng shui may be good but it does not suit them ie (death or disaster), then looking for a more suitable home with less flying star feng shui would be better. 5. Dear Chris, Apologise for the late reply. Was checking through the forum and found these unanswered. That section of the Flying Star is pretty complex because each of the month, day, hour has different condition it must fulfill. Such as which month in which they fall under. And if you are doing the analysis for the male or female personal flying star, the gender say male goes in ascending order and female in descending order. There are also one set of calculation based on Xia, and another for the lunar. So each has a slightly different for determinining the month, day, hour, minute and second. Normally, very few use this for house, as they normally go until month sho…

Dear Chris, Under the `simplified' timing, you will find that Singapore, Hong Kong are in the same time zone as Beijing, the capital of China at +0800 GMT. Even in the past, even at most there is not more than 1/2 an hour difference in time adjustments. Therefore, when you check for time, for Singapore, Hong Kong and Beijing are exactly the same time zone. For predicting auspicious situations, what is most important is to find an auspicious date (DAY) which gives a 24 hour leeway. For hourly predictions, it still gives a two hourly leeway based on Chinese hour. Even if one considers analysis using Pillars of Destiny, the hour of birth can even be omitted or ignored and …

Dear Tam, Apologise for the delay, as we did miss posting this message. Yes, that is correct if you use the 9 Square grid method. However, the more accurate way is to use the 8 Pie method. If you have done the latest Eight House Report, I have added a graphic which has divided the sector equally using a Circle. You can then superimpose that circle onto your home to accurately determine the exact source of influence. As in actual fact, it is not a square sector that gets the influence, but the angle which falls like a fan from lesser at the center to a wider range at the outside of the house. Similarly for the Flying Star, make use of the 9 pie (8 pie and a circul…

URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-house1.htm For the square house, it is fairly easily to determine the centerpoint. For the odd-shaped house, it is harder for most people to be able to determine accurately. If not sure, simply attached a copy of the layout and we can assist you to determ…

  11. Hello friends, thinking about multi-storey buildings with many apartments, it becomes difficult to decide about facing and sitting directions. For example, if the plot of land is facing 120 degrees SE, it may have entrance at 210 degrees SW and then that entrance leads to a hallway/corridor. On both sides of hallway, there are apartments. So one row faces 210 degrees SW (most windows, balcony open to 30 N), other row faces 30 degrees N (most windows, balcony open to 210 SW), another row windows/balcony is 300 NW. Attaching a diagram herewith, please see -> This is a six storey building. What can be the facing direction of Apartmen…

  12. 1. Since your home is a landed property, usually, the facing direction is where you usually stand (inside the home) e.g. at the front lawn directly looking outwards of the home especially (it may be the main gate.) 2. Thus, from your description, it does not seem that your facing direction should be taken from your main entrance door direction. 3. Generally, many home's facing direction is as shown in the attachment. Where one stands under the purple "A" marking and taking a reading towards purple "B" marking. It may be different in your case, but, try to check out if the above, is possible or not. Quote: Dear Cecil, Please help me to find where are the mounta…

Dear Anon, In order for you to use the report you must know what you are trying to do. Flying Star - gives you thr birth chart of the house and tells you what kind of influence you will expect in that sector of the room at anyone time. Eight House - is personal directions which you are either have only 4 good and 4 bad. And also that this theory is limited to only this aspect. This means that even if a sector represented by the flying star is not good, to you it is still your good sector. However, the only limitation is that for Flying star you can cure that sector, but for eight house you cannot as it does not properly relate to the course of the problem and you cannot …

  14. Dear Anon, You should take into consideration your current symptoms instead of (from) the Pillars of Destiny. What is the reason for this? This is because, Pillars of Destiny maps out our heaven luck from the time we are born. The Pillars of Destiny concept is thus suppose to map out our "Yin and Yang" at the time of our birth. However, if one understands Pillars of Destiny clearly, it also `mentions' that what was mapped out in our birth can be changed. It can be changed mainly due to our environment and education, our experiences etc... For example, when a child was born, he has more Yin elements than Yang elements. Yin elements usually implies more abstract e.g. artis…

  15. Dear Tervino, Please see below:- In this case, both 5 earth and 3 wood are bad. So you need to control the two The system analyses two elements at any one time to make sure that it captures the essence of each problem. To control 3 wood, Metal is a good cure. 5 earth can also be controlled by Wood element. So in this case, 3 Wood happens to control 5 earth already. However, 5 Earth is left uncontrolled. Metal which is available in 7 Metal (mountain Star) and yearly star 7, will help you balance the sector, as Metal also exhaust earth and destroy wood, thus is the solution for this sector. In your case, this sector has now balanced itself. So no further cure is really…

    1. Based on your most recent description; there don't seem to be any threat from the tall building (or condo). 2. Frankly, the concept of "You stay there; we don't" or "Someone stays there; we don't applies!" 2.1. Thus, please put on the "thinking cap" or alternatively apply Commonsense (or cow-sense) Fung Sway: "Whyinthe hell do we want to place an irritating piece of wind chime in our bedroom?".Frankly, no offense; it simply makes no sense; at all. 2.2. On the contrary; from a Feng Shui point of view; look-here:`a wind chime' is not the only mother of all Feng Shui tools: there can be sucha thing as a silent objectsuch as those conVEX mirror sort of thing. But, please, …

Dear Dr Muthu, If you are in Malaysia, my best advise is to consult a Feng Shui Practioner. This is because, even if you can calculate the Flying Star correctly, a picture perfect Flying Star report is not as important as a full Feng Shui Audit. Even under the Flying Star, it has to be used in relation to other Feng Shui anaysis e.g. the Shapes and Form and even personalised to yourself. Furthermore, in your case, it has to do more with your business location (unless it is the same as your home). In my personal opinion, Lillian Too is " ok " at Shapes and Forms because this is more `generalised' and can apply more widely. I agree with you that her Flying Star book is conf…

  19. Feng Shui is also about common sense. Often, there is no perfection in Feng Shui. Most of the concepts should be considered as "NICE-to" and not a "MUST-have" Reference: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=26329&new=

    1. Many professional Feng Shui practitioners would strongly suggest that one draw at least two Flying Star charts for such a home. 2. As this subject of how easy to change a house's birth chart can be disputed both ways:- Argument 1: Some practitioners insist that do or die, only when the foundations are changed, then the house Feng Shui may change! Argument 2: One of the activities such as living it empty and re-occupying the home, in addition to giving it a fresh coat of paint. And removing the roof, and changing the main doors etc... Under argument 2, it is frankly difficult to say for sure what consititues a "thorough" change of a home's birth chart. As some sa…

Dear Anon, There are many debates over this issue. It is stated that usually the reigning period will control the stars, this means that star 5 in period 5 would be good. However, in some debate, it is stated that for period 5 which is a center Gua or not one of the eight directions it should be replaced by another trigram of from one of the official Eight Trigrams. In another debate, a proposed solution by using the I-Ching was recommended. So far as you can tell this is all yet to be proven so well, we have to take the traditional, that the period 5 should be represented by one of the Eight Trigram rather than 5 itself. Anyway, we will not encounter that for a long time…

  22. 1. Please note the the Eight House concept is more useful when we are trying to select which home to purchase. 2. Once, we are "stuck" with a specific home and trying to apply the Eight House concept; then; all these become "NICE-to-have" and not a "MUST-have". 3. For example, once we have either stayed in a specific home or are going to occupy the home; one cannot change where the bedrooms are. If the bedrooms are all in the North, South, SE or East sectors; then in the first instance; how to "MUST-have"sleep in a good sector. 4. If it is nearly impossible to do so; then again it would be "NICE-to-have" sleep with the head facing a good direction. 5. Thus; overall, …

If you re-read my reply to you Joe, you will see that I have mentioned how to activate the mountain stars. The water or wealth stars are #7 for this current period, then # 8 and # 9. Again, like the mountain they must fit certain criteria. Ideally, a Water star should be where there is activity - preferably in an entry, near a window. No good if the star is locked away in a bedroom or some quiet area. Activating a water star depends on the other elements that go to make up the stars in the particular sector.Your own personal element and its strength or weakness must also be considered when activating stars. Cecil or Robert will comment on the Report question you have. Gly…

  24. Dear Master, Q1..The bedroom is located in the North sector (House facing SE3). Period 8 base star is 4, water star 2, and mountain 4. From my understanding, I will need METAL element to weaken the earth, yet I heard that some practitioners actually use yin water in this kind of wood and earth clash condition. What should I do? Q2..this is the only bedroom, yet the shape of it is very awkward to place a queen bed here. However the directions or placements I propose are always directly facing the bathroom door and the other door is cut us in half, vice versa, or the corner angle creates sha-qi . Is there a better way to place the bed? Thank you so m…

    >Does it matter the exact location for the pond/water fountain in SW (SW1?? or SW2/3??)...exact degree location for the pond/water fountain?? Usually, it is best to draw-up a 20-Year Flying Star chart and analyse the mountain and water stars at that sector IN addition with the overall Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Thus, if these two considerations are met:- 1. The SW sector is often an open space especially at the frontage of the home; then it is considered a "promising" candidate. But subject to the use of the 20-Year Flying Star chart of that sector. 2. It would even be more excellent if that sector has says a #8 water star or even a #1 water star at that sector. 3. Y…
