Flying Star Feng Shui (Xuan Kong Fei Xing)

Learn how to determine whether your house is good or bad

  1. Dear Durelle, I do not do manual calculations or matching #'s to look at combinations of water to avoid or enhance. This forum is a `self-help' forum. I have stated many times that it if one person provides me with general information like: Please see below:- Since you have already painted the wall, and you personally like it, and through either sixth sense or trial and error Feng Shui, everything is fine, then generally it is OK. On a Feng Shui perspective: 1. As you mentioned, red or bright colours general make the location more Yang. 2. Flying Star Feng Shui can be used to analyse if the colours clash with the sector e.g. whether it is neutral to the sector or…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- If a house has missing corners or is as you mentioned a fat diamond shape home, the next best alternative is to use centre of gravity to determine the centrepoint. For example, obtain a photocopy of your house layout (in proper dimension). Cut the outline and place it on a cardboard. The cardboard should also be cut-out i.e. an outline of the home. Then use a pin or nail and try to balance it. The point where it can balance properly is the centre of gravity = the centrepoint of the house. I am not sure, if I understand you correctly as you mentioned that it is a figure 8? as shown above. If you have a scanned image not to large, perhaps…

  4. 1. Since your home is a landed property, usually, the facing direction is where you usually stand (inside the home) e.g. at the front lawn directly looking outwards of the home especially (it may be the main gate.) 2. Thus, from your description, it does not seem that your facing direction should be taken from your main entrance door direction. 3. Generally, many home's facing direction is as shown in the attachment. Where one stands under the purple "A" marking and taking a reading towards purple "B" marking. It may be different in your case, but, try to check out if the above, is possible or not. Quote: Dear Cecil, Please help me to find where are the mounta…

Hi, Thanks for bring up this intresting but tragic story. It is based on the concept of " Priorities or Importance ". I have mentioned that in Feng Shui there are priorities. Some users after reading certain books on Life or Eight Aspirations felt that this is the most important thing to do. But I have clarified that this should not be done or if it is done, other Feng Shui principles MUST be considered First. For example, as you have mentioned, if the house is at a Y junction, the most ideal situation is to move out. If one stays in the house, no matter how much cures we seemingly try to cure within the interior of the house, it will not be as effective. You have highlig…

Dear Betty, Sorry, can you clarify what you mean by a `Fire' house i.s. I suppose the main entrance is South facing? or are you refering to the Roof and thus consider it a Fire house. A hexagonal shaped fountain is symbolic of the water element and it is acceptable to place the fountain on the lefthand side of the house. As for the number of kois, 9 is acceptable (even if you are not considering the number of kois as equivalent to your personal element e.g. 9 fishes represent the metal element). In general, without considering your personal element and strength, the above looks ok to me. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients …

Dear Jennifer, 1. It is not as simple as you sound. 2. This is because the Luo Shu grid is based on a formula complete for a period. 3. Look at it this way: 3.1 Is it possible for a Skoda or a Lada (Russian made vehicle) to be sliced partially and a chunk of it replaced with part of a mercedes benz. 3.2 Does the above sound logical? If not, then; This has to be evaluated based on the principles of 20 Year Flying Star's ruleset. Please refer to my above part of message. Frankly, Jennifer, (no offence) this has to be one of the "worst" illogical messages that I had seen replied to. In such a case, it is better to close one's eyes and pretend that we are living in …

Dear Anon, Please see below:- 1.In Group Both the main door For main door, will it Overall, the analysis is based on the Eight House Theory. And for sectors of the birth chart of the house are out of balance under the Flying Star, this should best be neutralised as soon as possible. There is a contradiction in Feng Shui principles. Here, it is best that the master of the house (where possible) should best occupy the master bedroom. You may have to do with exisiting situation. 2.For another Sorry, perhaps you can further elaborate your question. It is also good to look at the Flying Star chart of your house for Period 8. Dear Wasis, It is best to scan the entire home to check on: 1. White If the walls are white in colour (white represents metal) no additional cure is needed. 2. Water element If there are water positions at a specific sector. Or if there are relatively large amounts of blue, black or grey at a sector that has particulary lots of #3 or #4 (bad wood) Or where the year has bad #3 or #4; since water helps wood, it is best to see if we can avoid adding water element here. If there is too much `water' element here, then, additional cure should be used to control the bad wood #3 or #4 or multiples of it. 3. Wood element At a location that has bad #3 and #4. In addition to water, …

Hi Master Cecil, my parent's house facing S1 Period 7, have double star 7 at front sector S, have window at E and backdoor at NW but main entrance at SW sector, is it too late now if i change the main entrance from SW to S for activate triangular formation? thanks.

  12. Started by normlim,

Dear Norman Under the Flying Star concept, a house will not change its birth chart unless one does a major renovation. Thus for example if one's house currently has a double 7's, this house will continue to enjoy double 7's after 2003. In 2004 (after Chinese New Year's day), this house will continue to have the same birth chart. Only after a major renovation, we will need to re-chart the house to a period 8 house. In so doing, with a new chart, the 7's may not be where it is anymore. The house will thus have a new birth chart based on Period 8 after the major reno. For example a Period 6 house built in 1980 currently will still have a period 6 chart in period 7. Even in …

  13. 1. In my opinion, the renovations sounds "promising". 2. However, since you intend to do a flying star chart; it would be good to plot both Period 5 and Period 8 charts and/or focus on a specific chart e.g. Period 8. 3. Often, we will try to figure out which chart is more accurate. And hopefully see which is more accurate. 4. Attached is another method of working on e.g. a certain period but also playing the notation of other periods on the same chart. This makes it easier should we try to troubleshoot which chart is more accurate. For example, under the attachment; the home could either be a Period 6 or 7. And so happens that a sector we are looking at has both MS#4 an…

Dear Toni, 1. As you are aware, the key `ingredient' to Flying Star analysis is to determine the exact compass degree of the front door. This is the traditional way to do Feng Shui not only from this site but any other sites practising traditional Feng Shui. 2. I have mentioned in a few earlier emails that for those who are more `creative' can if they want to find the frontage of their house and from here need not necessary use the `door' at this location but even windows. Or if they feel differently about which ever main door they think can be used. This is usually where "most light comes" into the home. 3. There are some who like to impress their clients, can use such m…

  15. Hi, I am a student in your flying star course. In Unit 8: How etermine the Direction of the Main Entrance Door, you introduce a method which is to determine the direction based on from the center of the house. I think it makes sense. But somehow I remember you also mentioned in one forum that for landed house, the main entrance door direction is the direction the house facing, regardless of which place (according to the center of the house) the main entrance door located. I might remember wrong. But in case it's true, could you please provide the rationale of determining the direction this way? example: House is single family house on private land. Main entrance door …

Dear Ling Tien, Thank you for attaching your layout plan. Within Flying Star Feng Shui, there are indeed many schools. Ultimately, when we super-impose the luo shu grid either the pie chart or the 9 grid, it should match the compass directions. Therefore, in all authentic schools, the centrepoint is determined. For a relatively small place like a house of 1,200 sq ft or even a house of 5,000 sq ft, usually, the centrepoint or centre of gravity is found. Here, the luo shu grid is laid on the layout plan. Actually, if we use the Flying Star (Xuan Kong Feng Shui), if the house was born in period 7, most likely even if the main door has been interpreted diferently, the char…

Dear Jennie, Please see below:- 1. If one is keen on learning proper Feng Shui, it is best to use a recommended three-step approach:- a. For any theory or concept: What is the aim or purpose of the concept? b. What is it's strength c. What is it's weakness 2. By understanding each concept's aim or purpose; strenght and weakness; we can thenn understand what it can be used for and what are it's limitations. 3. For example, when we are considering purchasing a car. It would be fine if we purchase a two door 2 or 4 seater car for an individual's use. 4. But if one has a large family; it would be wise to (if one can afford) purchase a mini-personal carrier that can seat 8…

The lot is backed to a canyon has river run through it, and a dam is on the west side. The river is part of water that's let out from the dam. Is this lot suitable for me?

Dear Ricardo, Apologise for the delay, due to too many questions posted daily, we may have missed it the last time. There are many ways to use a Flying Star, but usually in the website we are focused only on the House Analysis. This is it the direction where the main door faces from the center of the house. However, in doing a manual calculation, this is not exactly so simple, as you need to know the actually facing and sitting direction. However, the website's Flying Star report takes the trouble of this by doing it as soon as it knows the actual main door direction based on a normal compass. I believe what you could be confused is that, there is often some books…

  22. Hi, There are a few factors to consider:- 1. There are many situations where a house has `perfect' Feng Shui based on the Flying Star or Xuan Kong Fei Xing calculations. But unfortunately, the house is simply not suited to the owners. For example under the Eight House Theory, it is the death or disaster line of the owner. Perhaps, he/she is sleepin g in the room with the disaster etc.. bad influences. 2. Sometimes, it is true that the House has bad Feng Shui especially under the Shapes and Form e.g. T or Y junction etc.... My advise to those who are not Feng Shui experts is perhaps to get a qualified Feng Shui Practioner to look over the house and provide an assessment. A…

Dear Rose, Can you do another compass reading again to confirm whether it is N1 or NW3. It is essential that you get the direction correct. Hope you understand. If it is NW3, we can always reset the credit and allow you to re-gen the report. Warmest Regards, -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'flying-star' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, May 12, 1999 11:19 PM Subject: Too Good to be True? control the inauspicious Strong Wood star here?

  24. Started by myfs_135439,

    1. Under the Five element concept, no matter how, #3 is still a wood element. And in some instances, it can help to exhaust say bad earth e.g. #2 or #5. Much like a tree (wood) has roots that can "dig" into the earth to get nourishment thus exhausting bad #2 or #5! 2. In addition, there is the 81 combinations of Mountain star with Water star. And some of these 81 combinations can yield favourable results! 3. Thus, it is too immature or fool hardy to think only of #3 as a rotten star! 4. In addition, when Period 3 comes, #3 will be the jewel in the crown of Period 3! And under Period 2, #3 will be come the future prosperity star! Thus in general, in isolation, it is …

Some FS practitioners, asked their clients to hang wind chimes outside their entrance door, this year. A windchime (or subject to more detailed site analysis) can be hung at bad `yellow' earth sector i.e. the sector with bad earth #5 this year. However, as this is quite general; it should normally be looked at in relation to the 20 year Flying Star of the year. Warmest Regards, Cecil
