Dear Cecil, Thank you your reply again, but if you read my question again, it consider placing the door in sector of the house rather tilting the door direction. Thanks Alan

Hi Cecil, I ran the Flying Star for my mom's period 6 house, SW facing today and it says to use Metal, Wood and Fire cures. Would you be able to give me some examples of Fire cures? For Metal, I'm familiar with hanging 6 I-Ching coins, 6 rod windchimes (to use outsside of house) or grandfather clock or moving metal to hammer down bad earth. Anything else? For Wood, I'm familiar with using Plants. Anything else? For Fire, I haven't any personal experience with this yet as my own flying star didn't call for it. The sectors that call for cures are N (4 Mountain, 7 Water, 2 Base, 2 Yearly)- Use Metal E (2,5,4,5)- Use Metal SE (1,4,5,6) - Use Metal S (5,8,1,2) - Use Wood SW (…

Dear Cecil, My south sector has 5 as the MS , 2 as the base and 9 as the WS. I have a toilet here plus a wash basin. We are renovating the house. Is it safe to remove the wash basin. Can the bathroom be done in blue? The toilet does not cover the whole South sector, so can I activate the WS 9, where there is no toilet? Thankyou.

Dear Cecil Thanks again for your speedy reply. I have last two questions to ask you. I cant wait to do my renovation in period 8. I wanted to do the renovation soon and move in before end of the year. My question is if I follow period 7 feng shui enhancement, how long do I enjoy the goodness since period is coming to its end? My second question is if I do renovation according to period 8 now, when will the effect will take place and for how long? Thank you so much, Alan --- flying-star Listmanager wrote: __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Health - your guide to health and wellness http://health.yahoo.com

Dear Mimi, 1. In my opinion, as you mentioned that there is considerable remodelling (although no change of roof) usually, the house would take on Period 7's influence. 2. I believe that fortunately because of Period 7's is entering it's last lap, i.e. it is until 2003, where Period 8 comes in. 3. During this transition, especially when it reaches one year after lunar year 2003, I strongly believe that some of the enhancements done under Period 7 may not be effective or work. This relates especially to `wealth' positions e.g. water features that were looked at and meant to enhance qi during Period 7. This is more so for the fortunes of business. Where, many of those who …

Dear Yang Ming, 1. For HDB apartments, it is relatively quite easy because majority of the apartments were built either under Period 6 or (today) Period 7. 2. If the apartment you are reviewing is built anytime between 1984 to 2003, then it does not matter if it was built in 2001 and completed in 2002 (this year). Therefore, most or all new HDB apartments should be considered as under Period 7. For older apartments built before Period 7 ie. 1983 or below, do check if there were any major renovations done between 1984 to-date. If so, the apartment would most likely be a Period 7 unit. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  10. Dear Cecil, The 3 interactive stars for this Northwest sector are 2(w) vs 3(m), base 8. Most of the Northwest sector is the bathroom area. But a small part of it is my office. So do you think I need to hang the 6 coins for that small NorthWest part of my office? Thanks a lot. Hoa

  11. Further to what I mentioned earlier, it is acceptable for some components of a wind chime e.g. it's support "roof" and the clanger to be made of wood. The rationle is simple. Under the Destructive cycle - ref: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm One will notice that metal -> destroys -> wood. Thus, even with relatively some wood pieces on the wind chime, the 6 rod e.g. hollow aluminium wind chime - with its constant clinging has no problems `destroying' wood element. In addition, wood with aluminum is a nice pleasing piece to look at. Warmest Regards, Cecil PS. *JOKE* Please note that I am not swaying anyone from using any type of wind chime.…

  15. Dear Darius, If you are taking the reading of the building, then, the audit is meant for the entire building. And your house is just a mere (specific) sector or `grid'. If you need confirmation to confirm the centrepoint or to confirm the layout, feel free to either:- 1. create a sketch in graphic file in any of the popular format i.e. .jpg, .bmp, .gif and upload to this forum. alternatively, simply fax it to:- 065-6482570 I will be more than happy to assist you to confirm your layout / main door direction. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear John, It would be good if North Double 7's is at the main entrance. If this is the living room water element would help the double 7's (metal) element flow. The double 7 metals would already be of use to destroy the #3 wood. And a good combination of the harmonious productive cycle of Metal -> Water -> Wood combinations can be considered here. However, it should not be activated if this is not the living room area or other rooms e.g. back area of the house. Since your wife is a Strong Water person, usually balance should be created first, to offset the Strong Water e.g. personal self with say `fire' e.g. wearing red. Since fire is not beneficial for a Strong E…

Hi Cecil, Many thanks again for the advise you have given us from the start when we choose our house. We have now completed our renovation and moved in on an auspicious date picked by Robert. I do have some questions needing your advise after the move in. I wanted to activate mountain star but do not know which is/are the most appropriate sector to do so. Especially whether the main door is consider the frontage or is the windows portion in the living hall the frontage. I have done a summary on all the star combination based on 20 yrs, year 2002 and five element for yr 2 based on the detailed report ran from site. I would also like to know if there are any wrong placement…

Dear Anon, For "Bad Wood" if it is not cured - the problems usually relate either to key areas such as quarrels, gossip and law suits. Something along this nature (not health). Unlike " Bad Earth 2" which relates to sickness. And Bad Earth 5 which relates to Misfortune. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, this is a new area i.e. rearing of domestic "animals" - in relation to Feng Shui. More commonly, fishes are rearer especially goldfish which is considered of the metal element. As " gold " in the fish is considered of the metal element. Even the popular and expensive " dragon fish " is considerd of the metal element. Thus, it is very common for Feng Shui practitioners - in particular many years back - the Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners `love' to implement cures for lamp posts by asking their clients to place "gold fish" e.g. at a window facing the `sha qi' or poison arrow. Thus, the fish (metal element), the water (water element) are good …

Dear Anon, Under the 20 Year Flying Star analysis; if you not doing any major renovations under Period 8 -- your house will remain under Period 7. Yes, under Period 8, NE will continue to have 7,1,7 and you should continue to use Fire as a general cure for 20 Year Flying Star. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sheila, 1. Yes, I do agree with you. There is relatively no problem with stone Buddha in conflict with the Grand Duke. 2. Before, all of us get `carried away with the concept of Grand Duke... *JOKE* The relevant idea is that Grand Duke that it is the planet Jupiter. And Jupiter is the largest planet it's magnetic field or force is what is considered as having a an influence. Much like the tiny moon that affects our tide. 3. Overall, in my opinion although there are two major `dislikes' of the Grand Duke: a. Touching (e.g. painting a wall) and b. Distrubing him 4. I feel that the greater impact is under Para 2 i.e. disturbing him. Especially e.g. digging earth at the …

Dear Laurie, 1. Yes, Flying Star is based on the 9 periods of the Chinese calendar system. 2. For the benefit of users who are not aware what is the nine periods. You can view this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-calendar.htm 3. One 1 Cycle of the lunar calendar consists of 180 years or 9 periods x 20 years. 4. Each cycle is divided into 3 groups: Upper, Middle and Lower. Each group comprise 3 periods. Each period is 20 years. 5. This is where the Flying Star Feng Shui is based on this 20 year cycle. 6. And as you have mentioned can be classified as the Year cycle. From what you had mentioned, it is true that within each 20 year cycle, the numbers or pe…
