Dear Elena, Yes, once a Triple Combinations has been fullfilled, no cure is required as the Triple Combination exists and that location is in balance due to it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Thank you for bring up this interesting question. 2. It depends on the type of house being built. 3. In Singapore, there are public housing. And some public housing:- 3.1 Usually, these flats come empty i.e. only with furnished toilet(s) and white washed ceiling and walls. Otherwise, the house is given to the owners for them to complete the renovation of the floor tiles for both living/dining/kitchen and bedrooms. These flats do come with completed tiles for the kitchen. But no built in cabinet or stove or frige etc... In such a situation, if the owner only take over the flat after Chinese New Year 2004 and does renovation after this period, then, one can co…

Dear Jocelyn, Please see below:- Thanks for your encouraging words. Usually, by default, where your house has the door / house number that door should be the main door. However, in recent practices, many a times the main door may not be the door which most of the people use to go into the house, thus, as the owner or the person staying in that house, you do not encourage the chi or luck if you do not use that door. Thus, in such cases, you should then consider the use of the most frequently used door as the main door of the house. Also, usually, for those house owners which have two doors, they have an additional advantage of having two door choice (or two house f…

Dear Anon, This is an interesting question. If the space is not available or is a missing corner, one cannot or infact does not have an opportunity to place say a `cure' at this non-existing location. It is again, not possible to do remote control Feng Shui where placement of the `cure' at a nearby location `would' solve it. The `nearby' location has its own Feng Shui influence and it would not be wise to use a cure for a different location. However, if the missing corner is `restored' or modifications is made to the house or an extension, then the Flying Star, depending on the renovation work day, may changed to the new period. For example, if the last major reno was d…

Dear Peter, Please see below:- In situations as what you had mentioned above; it is always prudent to do analysis based on both charts i.e. Period 6 and 7. Usually, the two different charts may show i.e. under Period 6 (good) but Period 7 (bad). It can be matched to the present situation of the household to see which chart is more accurate i.e. Period 6 or Period 7. In my opinion, your apartment birth date should not change. But whenever possible, since we are aware of a major renovation of the apartment block, it is best to do a chart of both periods especially if one spans Period 6 and the reno was done under Period 7. 1. There is no concrete evidence so f…

Dear Jack, 1. Assuming that the recommendation is to use 6 coins, this is considered a `specific' cure. What this means is that this cure is specific to the location. It is not an a overly huge object or item but the 6 coins (for example) represent) strong metal to cure an imbalance at a sector. 2. The cure should usually not relate to the person as it is used to balance a sector. 3. But assuming if even if it is used, as your wife is a Strong Water person and metal is still acceptable as it is beneficial to her as it neutralises her strong water element. However, para 3 is usually not considered when we balance all the various sectors. It is the specific sector which is…

Dear Tufani, I will try to `answer' the question on why 2 and 5 are considered bad numbers. For the rest of the questions, will answer when I have the time:- 1. #2 and #5 belong to the earth element. 2. One perspective of looking at the numbers #1 ..... to #9 is as follows:- In # numbers, it follows a cycle: From birth ( #1) to Constant struggles ( #2 to #5) and reaping the rewards (#6 to #9). If we look at each of the numbers from the above perspective, we can then understand that like life, these numbers symoblically represent a cycle from birth, struggle, repeaping rewards to death. Thus, if one notice carefully, #2 , #3 , #4 , #5 are considered inauspicious numbers. F…

Dear Ken, There are two ways at looking at whether to hang a wind chime: 1. On personal feelings or we usually call this Feng Shui by our personal intuition or using simply our sixth sense. Usually hanging a singular wind chime will normally not have an adverse effect on us. This is because, under the Flying Star Feng Shui there are a total of 24 directions. Some of these are ausipcious for us and some are not. The probability is one to 24 that we can place the wind chime at either a good or bad location. 2. Usually, the only problem with hanging a wind chime at a wrong location is only the effects of having nightwares. This is due to a naughty imp and otherwise, not muc…

Dear Sharon, "Feng Shui" which relates to fixed templates e.g. Eight Associations or Life Aspirations are too general to be practised. Worse still if it is based on Black Hat Sect or BTB for short. `Fixed' template practises give a `bad' name to Feng Shui. More often, it gives false hope and will not work for most people. It is recommended not to practise this form of Feng Shui. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to call it "kindergarten" Feng to better reflect the status of it. If you have the time, do spent time browsing the conferences or search for a message. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chris, It is for this case that the House Number module was developed by Feng Shui masters to tackle modern problems relating to flats. The reason is because one should not change the house direction whether sitting or facing. Essentially, the whole block face is facing that particular direction. That is why, if the Flying Star of a particular layout in a flat or apartment is good or bad, it does not mean that everyone of the same block will share the same luck. Because different house numbering will determine the luck of the unit based on Flying Star house numbering. In addition, whether it is good or bad depends on the Pillars (true element and strength) of an ind…

Dear Anon, 1. Normally, a water position is suppose to be on `ground' level and not suppose to be on a table. 2. Usually, one places a water position in a house for a purpose e.g. a small koi pond with water pumps where the fish swims around it. In Feng Shui, this is suppose to create Qi. 3. Nowadays with modern fountains, especially if they are placed on the table no longer can be considered activating the water star i.e. under Para 1, it is suppose to be activated at ground level. 4. The next question one asks is what is the pupose of buying a water fountain? If you want to "beautify" the house, than you would have to turn it on as once it is turned off, it becomes a po…

Dear Agnes, Yes, you should take the Flying Star of Period 7 instead of Period 6 due to the renovation work done. Whenever possible, it is also good to look at both Period 6 and Period 7 chart. Usually, one chart is better than the other. And try to match your personal experience with it. For the Period 7 chart, it may take a while for the chart to show its characteristics. As mentioned earlier, it is good to look at both charts. Yes, usually, Period 6 chart, may continue to be applicable for a while. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Kenny, Take note here, that House Number Feng Shui analysis takes only a small impact on the overall Feng Shui of a house. Feng Shui influences that affect the house are as follows in the following order:- - Shapes and Forms - Flying Star of the House - Eight House Suitability - Ba Zi Feng Shui and the suitability to the house element - House Number Feng Shui The element analysis portion of the House Number does not mean that you have use the element suggested to cure the numbers. It is for your knowledge as to why the numbers are bad. And as mentioned since it only a small portion of impact on a house, there is very little point correcting it. Furthermore, sometimes a…

Dear Tam, Please read below:- Most important is to cure problem areas, and leave the rest as it is so as not to complicate the matters. In Feng Shui, when you try to solve or cure a minor problem, it is as good as trying to enhance a good sector. When all the major problems are solved, you will already enhance your good influences. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Chris, What you mentioned is similar to what I had mentioned in the past in this forum with regards to the two methods of calculating the Flying Star Chart. The first method is called the Compass and the other the Formula method. In most instances, we normally will not need to use the Formula method. This is because when you one takes the compass outside to measure, without any influence of any other magnetic fields, the compass can still accurately take into account the deviation; and the compass reading outside the house should be used. The differences will be found in the Flying Star Course which we are still busy fine tuning due to the complexity of the theor…

Dear Anon, 1. In the event of a significant renovation, the house typically transitions to a Period 7 house, which spans from 1984 to 2003. 2. For individuals residing in the same home for an extended period, particularly from Period 6, it is advisable to create a Flying Star Chart based on Period 6 for reference. 3. Generally, the house is expected to become a 'Period 7' house. Nevertheless, there may be instances where the birth chart from Period 6 still closely aligns with the current situation. Therefore, it is important to consider Paragraph 3, especially during the initial two years following the renovation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Yes, you see most of the problems stars are usually Wood or Earth. Metal is thus the most commonly used cure for either of the Wood or Earth cure. This is not necessary. It does not mean that at all. You can have the existing items in place such as Plants. Because in one way of looking at it Plants are wood. In the Five element relationship, Wood does also help to destroy Earth. Although, the more recommended cure is Metal because the problem star 2 or 5 is usually of Strong Earth, and Metal is the best to exhaust suchh elements. So it does not mean that you should remove all Wood elements in the sector. Simply adding the Metal cure will help to balance the sector. …

Dear Fraser, Please read below:- Glad that you enjoyed the forum. No, Chor Sin or more properly called Zhou Xing - " Sitting Location " is opposite because it is always opposite the facing direction or Xiang Xing - " Facing Location " of the house or where your main entrance door is. In general, the backdoor is not taken into consideration when one is doing a Flying Star. It should be the main entrance door or the door which has the house number. If say, one has a backdoor or another door, one can do a Flying Star chart to find out or select which door is better of the two. Especially if the original main door is not so good. The colours is actually consider…

Dear Chris, Under the `simplified' timing, you will find that Singapore, Hong Kong are in the same time zone as Beijing, the capital of China at +0800 GMT. Even in the past, even at most there is not more than 1/2 an hour difference in time adjustments. Therefore, when you check for time, for Singapore, Hong Kong and Beijing are exactly the same time zone. For predicting auspicious situations, what is most important is to find an auspicious date (DAY) which gives a 24 hour leeway. For hourly predictions, it still gives a two hourly leeway based on Chinese hour. Even if one considers analysis using Pillars of Destiny, the hour of birth can even be omitted or ignored and …

Dear Maria, The distinction here is what tool is used to take the compass reading of the front/main entrance door? Here, in my opinion, usually the confusion arised because of the instruction(s) given by various parties. A. If one is using an ORDINARY compass, then use this method: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm One will normally not go wrong using the above method. B. But if one is using a Chinese LUOPAN, then, measurement can be different. Here, it is not uncommon to find out the facing and sitting direction. Thus, one has to be absolutely CLEAR which TOOL is being used. For the flow of Qi, on `paper' since the main entrance has been considered as the MOUTH…
