Flying Star Feng Shui (Xuan Kong Fei Xing)

Learn how to determine whether your house is good or bad

  1. Question: "Please help me, if you please on this theory subject. How should make my calculations if I want to take into account the month star for a particular month? 1) easiest way: I cancel the year star and substitute with month star and make element calculation with the base star. 2) first I have to make the element calculation between month and year star and only after this I can make element calculations with base star. Or maybe at the end it’s the same thing? Thanks!!!"

Dear Jez, You should take the direction of the main door which you frequently use. In this case your garage. However, what you can also do is to perform a check on both direction and see which is better for you and continue to make use of the better direction. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

  3. Dear Lionel, Quote: I was told that I should increase the ?water? for the sector 7,9 (3). I also understand that a mountain painting is always encouraged to be placed behind our seat to act as a ?support?. However, doesn?t a mountain symbolize the ?earth? which is not encouraged for the sector 7,9 (3)? To encourage water in that sector, you can consider having the room painted light blue. That will add water to the room. As for the picture, mountain picture is always nice. Anyway, if based on the 7 (Metal), 9 (Fire), 3 (Wood), adding Water and mountain painting will create a harmonious environment. ie Metal -

  4. Dear Ren, It is acceptable to place a water feature, here as the location based on Flying star has the water wealth (current prosperity WS#8). Try to take note of the following:- 1. Since the sector has bad #2 with #5, it is good (if you are rearing gold fishes) for: either 6 gold and 1 black or 7 gold and 1 black. 2. There is a high chance that several of the gold fishes may die (sacrificed) due to #5. (Acceptable for this). 3. Never use any pyramid shaped fish tank. 4. Since this sector is south, never use any stand (or legs) that are blue or (dark or light blue) stand for the fish tank. Black or golden stand is acceptable, here. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: R…

Dear Elena, I believe this is a good question:) No, we should not be activating the mountain star without regard to our personal safety. Although modern `technology' has the answer but we must never wear a hard hat to bed:)) Nor, not owning a motorbike yet buying a helment and wearing it in bed:( If the bedroom is large enough and if there is a headboard as you mentioned, sufficient to place e.g. a tortise paper weight this would be good enough. One should not go and get a oversized headboard. It looks ugly and non functional. If one is unable to place e.g. a paper weight behind the bed, the next best alternative is to place it on say the side table. (So long as the back…

Dear Luigi, 1. In my opinion, the mountain star # should be taken into consideration for a more accurate analysis. 2. The reason is because each # be it mountain, water or base is in itself an element (which is either weak or strong). 3. Thus, in Five Elements Analysis, at each sector, mountain #; water # and base # represents each an element and strength. 4. In more detailed Five Elements analysis, there the above three elements are reviewed against each other. 5. Thus, the mountain # does come into the picture i.e. where it interacts with the water # and base #. 6. Thus I feel that in a more thorough analysis, the mountain star should be taken into consideration. This …

  8. 1. It depends. If the base star is #8; then a clock can still be used to disarm MS#5 with WS#2. 2. But if the star is a MS#8 in the above arrangement e.g. MS#8 with WS#5 or #2 then it is preferred not to use the moving clock as it is detrimental to the Mountain Star #8. 3. If the auspicious water star is #8; then a moving clock can still be used as Metal and water are harmonious combiantions.

Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, if one literally lifts off the roof; this is symbolic of a `major' renovation and qualifies for a change of period. Symbollically, it implies that if one repaints the entire ceiling of the house at one go, this should change to period 8. In my opinion, rebuilding your kitchen especially removing the stove and refitting the kitchen can qualify for a change to period 8. But often, the influence would come not immediately but say, 8 or 9 months after the renovation. For renovating your kitchen: 1. Please be careful NOT to renovate at compass direction 210 degrees this year. - South South-West (Location of Grand Duke of Jupiter). Else this brings seve…

    1. Frankly, you have to ask yourself: How many bedrooms have you or have left? That you can accomodate your kid? 2. Or if you have a study and could change or swop the study to this room. 3. To minimize any issues; some prevention; try to avoid warm white lights in the bedroom and if possible avoid yellow curtains or bedsheets. 4. However, some ask: If I can't use bright yellow, then how? 4.1 So long as e.g. the bedsheet has all the primary colours: GREEN, BLUE (or BLACK), RED and YELLOW; 4.2 then if all these elements are present then just avoid the ceiling lights or lights within that bedroom in "warm white". 4.3 Thus use cool day lights in that room. The above is ju…

Dear Aj, Yes, personal Gua should be different from the `numbers' to the house i.e. Flying Star chart is done on the basis of each house with inputs required of the direction of the main entrance. Thus they should be different. The house number is to look at the birth chart of the house. While personal Gua is related to personal self. Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. Hopefully the stove is not directlyat the NW cardinal point. Even still, this is considered as a major flaw while the NE missing corner is less serious. Both issues can be negated. But NW, can still be a "thorn" in the bush. 2. If the condo has more than Three major "leaks"; one is most likely on the way to "serious" issues.

  15. Dear Master Lee, Currently looking at a re-sale (Period 7) HDB walkup apt in Woodlands. Would like your advice on 2 issues: Q. How do we change Period 7 houses to Period 8 for HDB apts? Although, we can change a new door, redo the floor tiles, there are no "roofs" - what can we do in the renovation stage? This apt is on the 3 floor. From thebalcony (taken as the main facing of the apt NE2), one can see lots of greenery and trees and alsothe public swimming pool very nearby. Please refer to the attached Google Map for details. Q. Is the location of the swimming pool bad for the Fengshui of the house? If it is taken as being infront of the balcony (NE), then the Water St…

Dear Isabelle, Please see below:- There is not much one can do other than to neutralise the #4's in this situation. Metal element would help to neutralise the bad wood #4's. There are several ways to look at water positions. If one is using Flying Star method, the best location is one where there is metal at that sector. For example, if the frontage of the house has say a #7 mountain, Base 1 #7 water, in this area, there are metal elements. Provided, this sector is as mentioned earlier, the frontage of the house, or e.g. the balcony area, one can take advantage of water elements with #7 metal elements. The fundamental element in Feng Shui and even Flying Star Fen…

Yes, you see most of the problems stars are usually Wood or Earth. Metal is thus the most commonly used cure for either of the Wood or Earth cure. This is not necessary. It does not mean that at all. You can have the existing items in place such as Plants. Because in one way of looking at it Plants are wood. In the Five element relationship, Wood does also help to destroy Earth. Although, the more recommended cure is Metal because the problem star 2 or 5 is usually of Strong Earth, and Metal is the best to exhaust suchh elements. So it does not mean that you should remove all Wood elements in the sector. Simply adding the Metal cure will help to balance the sector. …

    1. Please note that symbolism is important. Thus if one does not use REAL water usually classified as "Yang water"; "Yin Water" in the form of a koi fish painting can represent the water element (or to be exact it is a combination of metal-water element.) The painting can be used instead of a "miserable" glass bowl - as it may be a breeding ground for mosquitoe lavae - still water. 2. Fire element can be represented by "lighting" instead of using the alternative red colour. For example, the most effective way of neutralising #3 bad wood is to turn on e.g. a red led light. 3. Thus the Five Elements Concept is very flexible in that one can use colours / colours with sha…

Hi, To summarise: 1. One should not personally `disturb or touch' him during this period. 1. In your home, you should avoid offending the Grand Duke. 2. Someone else outside can `disturb' the Grand Duke e.g. digging at the East and this will affect you also. The advise is to place `big' metal between you and the disturbance. For example, a large object such as a car. (Metal). But if you are doing gardening, a spade between the house and action going on. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  22. Dear Ken, There are two ways at looking at whether to hang a wind chime: 1. On personal feelings or we usually call this Feng Shui by our personal intuition or using simply our sixth sense. Usually hanging a singular wind chime will normally not have an adverse effect on us. This is because, under the Flying Star Feng Shui there are a total of 24 directions. Some of these are ausipcious for us and some are not. The probability is one to 24 that we can place the wind chime at either a good or bad location. 2. Usually, the only problem with hanging a wind chime at a wrong location is only the effects of having nightwares. This is due to a naughty imp and otherwise, not muc…

Period 8 Qi will come from NW. Is it true ? Just think about what you have said. How do you expect to change the house luck by opening a door or window ar NW if there is no door or window there in the first place? or a landed property, you may be able to do this, but for apartments you will not likely be able to do this. So this method is rather flawed. However, for landed property, this may work to some extend. However, it may not be enough, because for landed property, it i…

For Homes with open spaces at the centrepoint of the home; may expect more conflicts and relationship issues. 3. For Small and Medium priced enterprises; do expect some production issues and/or product rejections and at the same time : turnover and greater relationship/conflicts at work-place. 4. In 2015 also, the #5 misfortune / sickness star is located at the West. And more cause and concern for places or locations that has their frontage and /or openings at West (sector). 5. Dear All, 1. Attached please find another sample of the pie-chart method. 2. Under this example, one can clearly see each sector is `labelled' showing the sector of influence. 3. Overall, I personally prefer to apply the `pie-chart' method over the 9-grid method. 4. For example, one can even prepare a pie-chart frame and print it on a transparency. And this transparency can be placed on-top of say an A4 sized layout plan. - Very effective! Warmest Regards, Cecil
