Dear Elena, Yes, it is quite understandable that because it is a small bathroom, most likely plants would not be able to thrive in such an area. To `activate' wood, yes, painting it green would be sufficient in such a situation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear George, Usually, the office expansion should change the birth chart of the house. In such a situation, it is advisable to use the newer period i.e. Period 7 (1984 - 2003). Sometimes, we also plot the Period 6 chart. Here, it is looked at in relation to the Period 7's chart. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Elena, Yes, once a Triple Combinations has been fullfilled, no cure is required as the Triple Combination exists and that location is in balance due to it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jo Yong, Yes, a major renovation will change the birth chart of a home. For example, if a home was constructed under Period 5 to say this current period i.e. Period 6. As the term suggests, it has to be a major renovation. Examples of major renovations include:- 1. Alterations in a home such as hacking of walls especially the bedroom walls. 2. For a landed property housing, removing the roof of the house changes its birth chart. 3. Combinations of Para 1 and hacking of floor tiles / replacing them. 4. More `technical' method such as repainting the ceiling is symbolic and used by some FS practitioners as a `cheap' alternative which was felt to `symbolically' alter the…

Dear Elena, Usually when one wants to deal with the month it can get pretty messy and complicated. So the easiest way is to relate the monthly to the yearly analysis and to your base star. More importantly look out for where the star 5, 2, 3 (or any bad stars falls). This is based on the `Exception Principle.' Where it is better to focus on `exceptions' and if they do happen i.e. 5, 2 and 3 do take precaution! For the layperson, usually no further cures are needed as the 20-year and yearly stars cures are sufficient for analysing a sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jo Yong, In general, 1. For the Flying star numbers, the most important point is to check all three numbers i.e. the base no.; the mountain # and the water # to see if they are in balance or out of balance. If it is out of balance, a cure would be needed e.g. ` 6 coins'. 2. Based on the 81 - Interpretations, mountain # and water # can be associated with an interpretation. Here, it is good to be aware of this when looking at the sector particularly if it is a place where one may spent time at. For example, where it happens to be the bed. 3. Usually, under the 20 year Flying Star analysis, a sector could be out of balance. We should then look at the yearly star to find…

Dear Josephine, Please see below:- If you have a sketch (proprotionate size, location of windows etc..) of the layout plan and attached to this forum, I would be glad to take a look at it as it is currently difficult for me comment. Overall, it is best to give top priority to the placement of your desk based on Shapes and Form principles. Only after you have satisfied this condition that you look further into:- 1.2 spending more time at a good sector (if possible). 2.2 only after looking at it from Shapes and Form and Para 1, you then look at which direction is good facing direction for you. Usually, a pair of tigers would be more appropriate rather than a lone ti…

Dear Jo, The key thing to remember about the Eight House Theory is that the more one spents time at a good sector the better. Even if the sector is a good sector but, one does not spent time at, thus, it does `not apply' i.e. there is no beneifical effect on a person. Under the Flying Star Theory, most importantly, although it is your loss or legal problems area, you have to check the elements at that sector e.g. the mountain / water star and the base number to see if there are any imbalances. If there are imbalances, one has to cure it. Once this is done, in general we have balanced that sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Durelle, For a North 0/360 house under period 6: 20 Year Flying Star Chart for the North sector:- 5 7 2 Yearly star for the North Sector 5 2 For this sector: "Make use of Wood to destroy and control Earth" In general, for the interest of those who are not familiar with Flying Star: #5 (Bad Earth) represents Misfortune, Sickness while #2 (Bad Earth) represents Sickness. Based on the preliminary finding under Flying Star, indeed the North sector of the house is not inauspicious. In practise, one should also consider and neutralise imbalances of all other sectors. Equally important, is that the house must also suit the home owner plus it has also to be analysed in rela…

Dear Peter, Please see below:- Let's take an example: Period 7 is from 1984 to 2003. Assume that a period 6 house that was built in 1982. So what happens to the Flying Star Analysis for this Period 6 house? If there are no major renovations done to this Period 6 house, it will still continue to have the birth chart of a Period 6 house i.e. #6 at the center of the chart. The same goes for any other houses built in Period e.g 4, 5, 6. Thus for a Period 7 house; assume that it was built in 1986. If there are no major renovations done after it was built i.e. 1986 and until 2004; it will still be considered a Period 7 house. Only when you do a major renovation e.g. in th…

Dear Tervino, Please see below:- Red items can be like what you mentioned a red cloth for example covering the table. Since the item is for curing wood, the best type of cure is a red packet with 6 coins. By default it is automatically determined that 6 is strong metal while 7 is weak metal. And it is often not very good combination to have these two elements together as it creates a natural clash of the metal like a big sword vs a small knife. do we use 6 coins or other metal? Usually, the most of the problems can be solved by the use of the 6 coins either tied with a red string or a red packet. This will usually do the trick. This has been proven to be a rat…

Dear Angelina, When the proposed solution is to make use of wood to destroy and control earth: 1. If it is the living room, you can use `wood' elements like a potted plant = wood element or use a decorative object made of wood at this location. 2. If it is in the bedroom, you can consider placing a side table and on it a wooden decorative item or a `wooden' lamp. Warmest Regards, Cecil ----- Original Message ----- From: "flying-star Listmanager" To: Sent: Monday, July 10, 2000 7:07 AM Subject: flying star house no.

Dear Clarence Apply Metal cure to destroy 3 wood and exhaust 5 earth star while enhancing your good star 7 metal. Sorry, I think you have got the description or the star number wrong here. Please verify if the 8-1 should be refering to 3-7 instead? So Wood or Metal will help in this case. Here, you need to neutralise any imbalance. Shapes and form can also be looked at. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Clarence, 1. It is good for you to clarify with your friend further on what your friend meant by `reverse' house. 2. In my opinion, or my guess is that `reverse' may refer to the frontage of the house. Here, the frontage of the house e.g. where it looks at the bay or water, may for some homes be the `frontage'. But, it does not mean that when a house turns a certain age, it suddenly has a reverse frontage. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In your case, 6 strong metal does already control the 4 weak wood. However, as mentioned the report analysis only two stars at any one time. 6 metal has to accomplish two task here, to destroy the weak wood and to exhaust the earth. So often in such situation more Metal helps it. And since in the current year the 6 metal comes in again, it does fullfil the need to help the other 6 metal to destroy and control the elements. This is because I had factored in the problem here that the Wood is a strong wood and not a weak wood. And usually for such case, we often prefer to use the exhausting element which is Fire in this case. It is a little more effective than Metal. Met…

Dear Tervino, Please see below:- Usually the report will tell you if there is a mountain star available and it is only found in the 20-year star. The rules to activating the stars is simple, mountain stars often is activated in the sector which is a solid wall (there should not be a window here otherwise you cannot activate this sector.) Also, the next rule is that it has to fall into a room, best to be a bedroom, study room. Living room can also be activated except often, if necessary the living room usually has another star Water star to activate with water feature. As the living room is often considered a large open space. Also the mountain star should not be activ…

Dear Jocelyn, Please see below:- Thanks for your encouraging words. Usually, by default, where your house has the door / house number that door should be the main door. However, in recent practices, many a times the main door may not be the door which most of the people use to go into the house, thus, as the owner or the person staying in that house, you do not encourage the chi or luck if you do not use that door. Thus, in such cases, you should then consider the use of the most frequently used door as the main door of the house. Also, usually, for those house owners which have two doors, they have an additional advantage of having two door choice (or two house f…

Dear Tervino, Please see below:- In this case, both 5 earth and 3 wood are bad. So you need to control the two The system analyses two elements at any one time to make sure that it captures the essence of each problem. To control 3 wood, Metal is a good cure. 5 earth can also be controlled by Wood element. So in this case, 3 Wood happens to control 5 earth already. However, 5 Earth is left uncontrolled. Metal which is available in 7 Metal (mountain Star) and yearly star 7, will help you balance the sector, as Metal also exhaust earth and destroy wood, thus is the solution for this sector. In your case, this sector has now balanced itself. So no further cure is really…

Dear Daniel, If I understand you correctly, you mean that the ratio of your door against the frontage is 85 percent of the house? In such a situation, so long as not all the e.g. sliding doors are opened, you need not necessary paint the door. I believe, it is equally `ugly' to do so. It is best to have natural lighting coming into the house. Assuming if you paint the door's, then there are few windows. It is a disadvantage to have a very YIN house as a result of this. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Norman Under the Flying Star concept, a house will not change its birth chart unless one does a major renovation. Thus for example if one's house currently has a double 7's, this house will continue to enjoy double 7's after 2003. In 2004 (after Chinese New Year's day), this house will continue to have the same birth chart. Only after a major renovation, we will need to re-chart the house to a period 8 house. In so doing, with a new chart, the 7's may not be where it is anymore. The house will thus have a new birth chart based on Period 8 after the major reno. For example a Period 6 house built in 1980 currently will still have a period 6 chart in period 7. Even in …

Dear Jack, Please see below:- Priority should go to using the Yearly Star report. Thus from to 5 Feb 2000 to 23 Jan 2001, use METAL to destroy and control WOOD. Since, the yearly chart is always available, one should use this instead of the 20 year Flying Chart. From 24 Jan 2001 to 11 Feb 2002, try to check the Yearly chart next year and use this instead of the 20 year Flying Chart. Use the Yearly chart solution i.e. Wood. Do let me know if you need any further advise. Many Thanks for making it easy for me to understand your situation and taking the time to draft your mail:) Regards, Cecil
