It is interesting that 8 to 10 years ago, whenever someone wants to find out Chinese "mystic" practises, will most of the time search the internet for "astrology" or "Chinese zodiac" signs. It was rare at that time for a search of : Feng Shui or the dialect term of "Fung sway" etc... Nowadays, many can seem to correctly search for "Feng Shui". This is good because: Chinese astrology in my opinion may lead to "auto suggestion" and even "self-fullfilling prophecy!". In the past, I cannot really see the correlation between a geomancer siting on the road side, "dictating" some one else's future. If the geomancer can "predict" someone else future, why can't he predict hi…

Some FS practitioners, asked their clients to hang wind chimes outside their entrance door, this year. A windchime (or subject to more detailed site analysis) can be hung at bad `yellow' earth sector i.e. the sector with bad earth #5 this year. However, as this is quite general; it should normally be looked at in relation to the 20 year Flying Star of the year. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are some of the considerations: 1. Assuming most of us have a working life-span of 40 to 50 years; most of us only get to see or experience an actual change of qi 2 or the most 3 times of such an occurrence in our life. (Flying star qi changes every 20 years). 1.1. Thus, frankly, best to take a pinch of salt if anyone in the entire Feng Shui world or internet can be that accurate in saying that if one follows such and such a procedure; the success rate if high! 1.2. In fact, as mentioned under Para 1; even amongst Geomancers; it is considered like all talk or theoritical / symbolic how to change to a new period qi. 2. Thus, to be honest; many of us geomancers can't …

Hello friend, I am about to rent a house facing NW3 period 7 which forms the parent string formation in the house. The issue is that the toilet is in the center where star 8 resides. I have another toilet in the SE area so I was thinking of keeping the toilet in the center only for showering and washing and using the toilet in the SE area, then after 4 years when we enter period 9 I can use again the toilet in the center since star 9 becomes prosper.

Dear David, Often, when one has already stayed in an existing home; and if one knows how to draw and analyse Flying Star chart(s); Since you have stayed in the home since 1981, it is more sensible to draw several Flying star chart(s).

Hello, I have a question for the master: If the apartment is built in 1985, (east 3 facing) the first move (mother-in-law + my husband) was in 1986, the last renovation is now 2021, which is the energy period (birth stars) of the apartment, my mother-in-law (kua2) and my husband (kua 7) moved in 1986, I (kua 1) moved in 2004, our little girl was born in 2008 (kua 5), The apartment block was refurbished on the outside in 2019, and we want to renovate the interior of the apartment now in 2021, just change the doors and windows, and paint the walls white. What period should I follow, ie does the initial period of the apartment remain - period 7, or period 8, when the daughte…

Honestly, it is difficult to comment on a few simple lines and say for sure which is the facing direction. Swathi C. wrote: dear masters! there is an apartment of period7 construction, with entrance as E2 FACING (gate) but the longer side and the apartment facing falls under N2 FACING.with a distance of 15feet there is another apartment constructed opposite to it.i think this opposite building working as a mountain.my questions: 1)am i right with my guessing. I have write-up explaining what is considered as the "mouth" of the home. One of the main factors under Flying Star is to see where is the most yang qi area. Since you are on the ground, you should the confidence t…

1. Sorry to hear about your situation. 2. Frankly, this changing of period is a 20 year affair. And even for most Feng Shui practitioners even if they start doing Feng Shui at the age of 18 years old; most likely they may only encounter such a change 3 times. (Lack experience in this area. In law, this is like "hear-say evidence" which cannot be admitted or counted type of thing). 3. Thus what I like to imply is that many practitioners even today, cannot agree with the definition of change of period. Even if there is some consensus, what we want is to see results if any and not talk or crossing fingers. You stay there, we (geomancers) don't. 4. The very conservative schoo…

Dear Mr Lee, Thank you again for the prompt reply. Yes, I have generate the flying chart, I notice that there bad stars in red and black, noticing that if there are 5 or 3, 4 or 9, in that particular sectors, e.g. east or se, should we be using the flat natal chart stars or the yearly/monthly stars to effect a cure? For 3 & 5 stars, we can counter with metal, star 4 is big wood, so metal cures will also be effective? Working towards a better feng shui environment.

Dear Cecil Thanks again for your speedy reply. I have last two questions to ask you. I cant wait to do my renovation in period 8. I wanted to do the renovation soon and move in before end of the year. My question is if I follow period 7 feng shui enhancement, how long do I enjoy the goodness since period is coming to its end? My second question is if I do renovation according to period 8 now, when will the effect will take place and for how long? Thank you so much, Alan --- flying-star Listmanager wrote: __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Health - your guide to health and wellness http://health.yahoo.com

Dear HP, In my opinion, your home is still considered as a Period 7 home. This is because Lunar New Year falls on 22 Jan 2004 and it ends only on the 15th day after 22 Jan 2004. And 6 Feb falls within this "curcial" new year period. Anyway, a Period 7 home can change or remain at Period 7 or to Period 8. While a Period 8 home cannot go back to the past. In order to go back to the past: Please purchase "Back to the Future: Part III" video. "Surely, one can than imagine going to the past *JOKE* Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Usually, the consensus of many FS practitioners is that so long as the house or apartment has not been occupied even if it was constructed under Period 7 (1984 to 2003).. but when humans start occupying the home, one can easily consider the homes as under Period 8. As this is where yang activity takes place.... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I moved into this office in March 2006 after a major renovation involved more than one third of the floor space of this office. 1. Usually, the "rule of thumb" is a home + yang qi or with human activity. 2. Thus, it makes some sense that although the home was constructed under Period 7, however, human activity = yang qi is only present after we have moved-in. 3. Nevertheless, if one were to apply Flying Star chart to such a home; never never assume that the home is a Period 7 or 8 totally. Thus, if one were to do such an analysis, best to draw two flying star charts for the home. In many instances, as the years go by, a competent practitioner (or with commonsense anyone) can compare both charts to see which is more "accurate".

Hello, You mention to consider Flying stars at the frontage. For Period 9, West facing houses from 247.5 - 262.5 degrees (W1) have double 9's star at the frontage, but over 262.5 degrees (W2-3) there are stars 5 and 4 which aren't an auspicious combination. Is it possible to build a house changing front door facing to the W1 even though the land is facing W2-3 direction? Thanks for your reply.

1. Yes, Feng Shui is indeed an in-exact science. 2. In my opinion, water-mountain stars with it's 81 combinations are more widespread. And period is also considered under this overall assessment.

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, this is a new area i.e. rearing of domestic "animals" - in relation to Feng Shui. More commonly, fishes are rearer especially goldfish which is considered of the metal element. As " gold " in the fish is considered of the metal element. Even the popular and expensive " dragon fish " is considerd of the metal element. Thus, it is very common for Feng Shui practitioners - in particular many years back - the Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners `love' to implement cures for lamp posts by asking their clients to place "gold fish" e.g. at a window facing the `sha qi' or poison arrow. Thus, the fish (metal element), the water (water element) are good …
