Flying Star Feng Shui (Xuan Kong Fei Xing)

Learn how to determine whether your house is good or bad

  1. Started by myfs_1024,

Dear Peter, Frankly, if one is in an open space concept and cannot control the layout planning, than there is not much choice, here. Fortunately, you are not sitting facing the death or disaster sector. Which is worse-off. Often, in such cases or situation, if we are limited by "earth luck" i.e. location, than what matters most is to boost our "human / man luck". Here, positive work attitude, our PR skills etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. for the benefit of those who are moving office, often the following ritual are performed: Select an auspicious date & time for the Office Warming Day. 1 On this day, make sure that all windows, ventilation must be covered up - usu…

These are some considerations:- 1. Your posting of this thread into "Earth Luck: Flying Star (Xuan Kong)" Feng Shui conference. 2. Please note that Flying Star (Xuan Kong) is one of the two Compass School of Feng Shui model / concept. 3. The other Compass School Feng Shui is the Eight House or East/West Group Feng Shui. 4. Given the above "clue" what has lot number got to do with the above? None! 5. In addition:Flying Star (Xuan Kong) Feng Shui can be sub-divided further into TWO models/concepts:- 5.1. Horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui 5.1.1. This is the usual 20 Year Flying Star Chart. And this is the most used of the Xuan Kong concept. 5.2. Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui…

Dear Clarence, 1. Sorry for the delay in reply. 2. One should leave out the garage area as this is not considered `living' space. 3. If you have a layout plan, you can upload and I can help you find the centrepoint of the first level. If the second floor is above, the garage and is a living space, then this should be included. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Mr. Lee, I'm so sorry because I forgot to write our KUA. Here are our KUA: my husband is 8 and mine is 7. Thank you for your attention.

  6. Dear Anon, 1. I believe what you are referring to is based on the Five elements in relation to the Flying Star numbers. 2. At each sector, there can be `conflicts' of the Five elements. 3. The `conflicts' can be seen as either helpful or harmful. 4. For example, if the `conflicting' element aids or help to neutralise or contain a bad element, then this is helpful. 5. Another example, if the rogue element is a the Five Yellow or Strong Earth, it would be nice to have a conflicting `Strong wood' element to neutralise it. 6. If the `position of conflict' is based on Traditional Feng Shui, then, one should use the Five Elements to analyse the conflict or complement to each o…

  7. Question: Since the flying stars are different every year, does that mean we paint the color of walls different every year? Thanks, Steve Reply: These are some considerations: 1. Like one Singapore minister said previously: " Looking at his CPF statement makes him very (rich) happy." 2. Thus, if everyone or nearly everyone re-paint their walls yearly; this will equally make the paint manufacturer and the paint shop => very rich and happy. 3. Common sense says that "Nobody has the time, the energy to move and cover all their belongings, yearly" 4. And the answer to your question is a NO.

Dear Anon, 1. In general, many Feng Shui practitioners or those who know about Feng Shui, tend to avoid having a sink facing or opposite the stove. This is due to water and fire clashing together. 2. If one has such a situation, one may apply the productive cycle under the Five elements concept by the introduction of wood element. 3. Here, fire -> (adding wood) -> water will form a three element combination flow. 4. In my opinion, it is still acceptable if the kitchen is located the South - fire element(compass direction - area) of the house. 5. One of the worst directions to have a sink opposite the stove is at the North (compass direction of the house). Here, it i…

Please see attachment chart: 1. The chart shows that Eight House concept can be applied to either Yang (living) or Yin (dead - burial - coffin direction) Feng Shui. 2. Within Yang Feng Shui: it can be split into two camps: 2.1. The go by the book practitioners. Who feels comfortable quoting traditional texts on what is the (conservative) position of : Heads not feet.Hey! If you lie down nearly flat on the bed (other than a head-pillow)... and if your face face towards the sky; how to consider "feet" -first? 2.2. There are those more creative practitioners who may visualise that if one sits up-right on a bed or close to this position: they consider "feet" first. "I…

Dear Puffy, 1. In my opinion, often, I seen comments from users who tried posting questions to say the only "Feng Shui" newsgroup at : alt.chinese.fengshui usually may get a rude shock in rather comic responses where I believe a few same people perhaps with huge egos `quarrel' amongst themselves. 2. It is very diffcult therefore, to find common consensus amongst FS practitioners. 3. Overall, in Traditional Feng Shui, the main schools are: 3.1 Shapes and Form 3.2 Compass - Eight House and Flying Star 4. Shapes and Form is easy to understand but much harder to put into practise. 5. Compass School i.e. Flying Star is harder to understand but easier to apply. 6. Like the sa…

Dear David, Please see below:- Glad you find this site useful. Feng Shui is all about balance. When an "anomaly" or an imbalance has been detected, one important thing to remember is that one must use the right `cure' for the right situation. Here, it is best to `convert' the numbers to their element and its strength. You need to relate it to the Five Element. For example, No. 2 signifies " Strong Earth ". Under the Five Element Concept, you then need to control this element. The clue here is " Earth " and " Strong ". 1. Look for yourself, the Destructive Cycle under the Five Elements Ref: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/5element.htm Here, you will notice that Meta…

Sorry, I am afraid that it is indeed a "silly" question. First time I have heard planting alarge tree to represent a mountain! Oh Boy! 1. Many trees have a tree trunk. And as the tree grow older, the trunk may be thick and hopefully it does not become a "poison arrow" slicing towards the main entrance door or even a window such as the window of the living room. This may inadvertenly create sha qi (poison arrow). 2. Under the Five Elements concept:- Imagine a large tree, it has roots that dig into earth to weaken earth. Thus if this sector say has an auspicious mountain star e.g. earth #8. Then imagine the roots of the plants will go and dig into the earth! Ideally, it …

Dear Sophia, The Flying Star concept is very simple: 1. water stars, as the name suggests should be activated in clear space environment. While 2. mountain stars, is best activated in an enclosed environment or "blocked" by a mountain. However, when we talk of the above, we are "anticipating" or have a view that what we are trying to activate are good stars like for water stars: #1 and #8. While for mountain stars e.g. #8 and / or #9 etc... Therefore, for "bad stars" like #5 and #2; it will make sense to say that: bad water stars should be "locked" up while bad mountain stars should be open space or literally placed in a "hole" to drown it! Thus, what you had menti…

Dear Nhan, 1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui 1.1 More importantly, I personally feel that Shapes and Forms Feng Shui has a far higher weightage. 1.2 For a home, majority of the homes often have `clear' space at the centrepoint. 1.3 Even for many American homes, staircase is either at the centre or close to this sector. 2. Therefore, in my opinion, for a home, it is not very favourable to `lock-in' stars if this directly affects the flow of qi at the centrepoint or close-by to this. 3. And this may not be healthy for a home. 4. Contrast, this with an office. In an office, there is no harm to `lock-up' bad stars with say a storeroom. Since, in an office environment, air-con is …

    1. Frankly it is very easy to come up with creative names and concepts:- 1.1. What is a dwarf ? Imagine lying on a bed. A bed is often from floor level to a few feet up in the air. And a dwarf is often no less higher than a regular bed. 1.2 What is an olympic (or Dimensional)? Imagine the ceiling of any home. It is hope that if one can do a high jump equivalent to the ceiling.. well, there is the Olympic Gold medal for you! 2. How do we go from here? 2.1 Nowadays, many people read too many books on Feng Shui or ill advised by their family, relatives or friends or hear say that it is no good to have a ceiling fan mounted above one's bed! 2.2 Why? 2.3 Hey! Don't ha…

Hi Cecil, If sector at the main door having Based 9(Fire), Mountain Star 3(Wood), Water Star 7(Metal) and yearly star 9(Fire), can one place a water position? If a sector(main door, living room) is suitable for water position and he/she is the breadwinner with Strong Metal(and no Water element at all), is it OK to proceed with the water placement even if one or more of the family members has either Weak Fire or Strong Water? Thanks.

Dear Josephine, Please see below:- If you have a sketch (proprotionate size, location of windows etc..) of the layout plan and attached to this forum, I would be glad to take a look at it as it is currently difficult for me comment. Overall, it is best to give top priority to the placement of your desk based on Shapes and Form principles. Only after you have satisfied this condition that you look further into:- 1.2 spending more time at a good sector (if possible). 2.2 only after looking at it from Shapes and Form and Para 1, you then look at which direction is good facing direction for you. Usually, a pair of tigers would be more appropriate rather than a lone ti…

Dear Anon, When using the 33.3 percent ruleset, furniture tends to be relatively small compared to the floor area of a room like the family room. Ultimately, purchase what you and your family appreciate, and there should be no problem. Caution is typically for those who have no real desire to make a purchase, but do so for the sake of Feng Shui. We should all strive to enjoy our lives. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  22. Dear Helen, 1. From your email address, I noticed that you are from Singapore. You should not have a problem finding a Feng Shui practitioner in Singapore. However, I understand that some FS practitioners in Singapore practise Shapes and Form plus the Eight House only. 2. Ideally, you should get a Feng Shui practitioner where possible skilled in at least the three key areas: 2.1 Shapes and Form 2.2 Eight House 2.3 Flying Star Para 2.1 is important as Feng Shui audit cannot be done in isolation. This is where some FS practitioners simply go into e.g. Flying Star and `nothing else'. If you have noticed there are many `live' examples of users here who, may have Shapes and Fo…
