Dear Chris, Please read below:- Please note that for flying star there is such difference between:- - 20-year flying star chart - yearly flying star chart - monthly flying star chart - daily flying star chart - & etc. Yes, no doubt that when you move from one period to the next range the flying star will change. i.e. if a building is built in period 7 (1984-2003) it will have a period 7 (20-year flying star chart). i.e. if a building is built in period 8 (2004-2023) it will have a period 8 (20-year flying star chart). However, the 20-year chart will not change unless you perform a major renovation. This means that if you have a house in period 6 and there has be…

Dear Ney Gonz?lez S?nchez, Please read below:- This is because they take your element based on the year of birth. For example:- 25 Jan 1963 between 9.00 a.m. to 10.59 a.m. This is the 1st day in 1963. 1963 is represented by gui-mao, which is yin Water - yin Wood. Some authors like to take the heavenly stem representation which is yin Water, while others like to take the earthly branch yin Wood. In which either case are both correct depending on its uses. Thus, you were termed as water, based on the heavenly stem version of it. This is the quick Pillars version of determining your element. If you were taken as wood, it is based on the astrological influence of the yea…

Dear Anon, In order for you to use the report you must know what you are trying to do. Flying Star - gives you thr birth chart of the house and tells you what kind of influence you will expect in that sector of the room at anyone time. Eight House - is personal directions which you are either have only 4 good and 4 bad. And also that this theory is limited to only this aspect. This means that even if a sector represented by the flying star is not good, to you it is still your good sector. However, the only limitation is that for Flying star you can cure that sector, but for eight house you cannot as it does not properly relate to the course of the problem and you cannot …

Dear Anon, You should take into consideration your current symptoms instead of (from) the Pillars of Destiny. What is the reason for this? This is because, Pillars of Destiny maps out our heaven luck from the time we are born. The Pillars of Destiny concept is thus suppose to map out our "Yin and Yang" at the time of our birth. However, if one understands Pillars of Destiny clearly, it also `mentions' that what was mapped out in our birth can be changed. It can be changed mainly due to our environment and education, our experiences etc... For example, when a child was born, he has more Yin elements than Yang elements. Yin elements usually implies more abstract e.g. artis…

Dear Ken, There are two ways at looking at whether to hang a wind chime: 1. On personal feelings or we usually call this Feng Shui by our personal intuition or using simply our sixth sense. Usually hanging a singular wind chime will normally not have an adverse effect on us. This is because, under the Flying Star Feng Shui there are a total of 24 directions. Some of these are ausipcious for us and some are not. The probability is one to 24 that we can place the wind chime at either a good or bad location. 2. Usually, the only problem with hanging a wind chime at a wrong location is only the effects of having nightwares. This is due to a naughty imp and otherwise, not muc…

Dear Tiong Tuan, ong tiong tuan wrote: If i m not gg to do any major renovation,it will still be under period 7.So is period 7 flying star chartstill applicable? If no, what shd i do? Generally, if you bought a period 7 house and do not do any major renovation, it is likely that the house will retain the period 7 house luck unless the previous owner have flown it over to new period. So sometimes this can be hard to say for sure. Of course, if not sure the best way is to always check if the current house luck suits the house or not. If it does, best to try to fly the house luck over to the new period. This will often eliminate any doubts you may have. ong tiong tuan wrot…

Hi, Actually, activating the mountain star or water star does not bring about say mountain star earth or water star water. The purpose is that when there is an auspicious star, by activating it, you active the auspicious influence it brings about. What you should be considered is to ensure that the bad stars are controlled, then activating any mountain star is good. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, Please read below. There is no harm in activating it, because it is an auspicious star which brings you good luck. The only thing you need to take note is that they must fulfill the requirements. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, It is more important when they appear as mountain and water star. However, under the advanced Xuan Kong, it is more equally important that the analysis takes into account the inter-relationship between the two stars, 20-year, yearly and monthly stars. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi, The Eight House Theory applies to a person's auspicious sector and direction. It cannot `determine' if one can place a fish tank at the location. If the purpose is to `drown' the death sector then this is wrong. The Eight House cannot be used to analyse a situation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Please see below:- It is explained in the website. Perhaps, do a SEARCH either in the forum or at http://www.geomancy.com Water star is automatically activated if there is a clear space at the location. For example, immediatley outside the main entrance, you should have a clear space. Alternatively, if it is the living room, for example, the `centre' portion should have clear or flat space. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Dr Muthu, If you are in Malaysia, my best advise is to consult a Feng Shui Practioner. This is because, even if you can calculate the Flying Star correctly, a picture perfect Flying Star report is not as important as a full Feng Shui Audit. Even under the Flying Star, it has to be used in relation to other Feng Shui anaysis e.g. the Shapes and Form and even personalised to yourself. Furthermore, in your case, it has to do more with your business location (unless it is the same as your home). In my personal opinion, Lillian Too is " ok " at Shapes and Forms because this is more `generalised' and can apply more widely. I agree with you that her Flying Star book is conf…

Hi, Feng Shui is based on priorities and purpose. In terms of priorities, one should look at the 20 Year Flying Star Chart of the overall sector. If it is auspicious, this is good. The Yearly Flying Star Chart does not look at the two stars but simply the base number and a star number. This gives a feel of the yearly chart. Now, since you are aware of the Flying Star Chart, as you have mentioned, you looked at your Eight House Chart. Since the sector is not auspicious for you, you should avoid spending too much time at the sector. But one good thing is that it is a good sector under the Flying Star i.e. it may be a good sector for another person. Applying and analysing F…

Hi, There are a few factors to consider:- 1. There are many situations where a house has `perfect' Feng Shui based on the Flying Star or Xuan Kong Fei Xing calculations. But unfortunately, the house is simply not suited to the owners. For example under the Eight House Theory, it is the death or disaster line of the owner. Perhaps, he/she is sleepin g in the room with the disaster etc.. bad influences. 2. Sometimes, it is true that the House has bad Feng Shui especially under the Shapes and Form e.g. T or Y junction etc.... My advise to those who are not Feng Shui experts is perhaps to get a qualified Feng Shui Practioner to look over the house and provide an assessment. A…

Hi, It is hard to say whether the house is `good or bad' unless you get a Feng Shui Consultant to view the House. There is alot of consideration in analysising the house. For example, it has to be based on the Shapes and Form of the surrounding houses, the house etc... You have also to check if the house suits the person. At the same time a Flying Star Chart has to be drawn up to location any sha qi etc.. Frankly, a house `tainted' by being used to be a Meat factory is in my opinion not a real `worry' because:- 1. The worst cases are those that are `gruesome' eg. mass murders, suicide (you can imagine what I mean). 2. Usually, the total destruction of the factory and rebu…

Hi, Like Cecil has mentioned, he Grand Duke in his opinion is like a Chinese superstition or culture. The only Feng Shui related reason for the Grand Duke is because of its astrological representation. Basically Jupiter is the largest star and it is thus has a great magnetic influence over the rest of the stars especially when they get close. Thus, because of this principle, it was termed as part of Feng Shui under the Flying Star because the Flying Star is also based on magnetic influence. It is supposed to represent that when a Grand Duke in there, the magnetic influence is affected, thus if you offend it, it is like disturbing the already disturbed magnetic force in th…

Dear Irene, Thanks for sharing your valuable information. As there are two sides of the argument ie. some FS Masters say that the painting of the ceciling would change the Period of the home/office, from my personal work, like yourself find that most of the time, the house still does not change the period or move to a new period. So far, only in one instance did I come across the shift to the new period. In the best of my opinion, for now, I believe that we should still make two charts one for the house before and the new period and compare both charts to see if it `matches' the existing house. Thanks for your enlightenment:) Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message-…

Hi, Thanks for bring up this intresting but tragic story. It is based on the concept of " Priorities or Importance ". I have mentioned that in Feng Shui there are priorities. Some users after reading certain books on Life or Eight Aspirations felt that this is the most important thing to do. But I have clarified that this should not be done or if it is done, other Feng Shui principles MUST be considered First. For example, as you have mentioned, if the house is at a Y junction, the most ideal situation is to move out. If one stays in the house, no matter how much cures we seemingly try to cure within the interior of the house, it will not be as effective. You have highlig…

Hi, To summarise: 1. One should not personally `disturb or touch' him during this period. 1. In your home, you should avoid offending the Grand Duke. 2. Someone else outside can `disturb' the Grand Duke e.g. digging at the East and this will affect you also. The advise is to place `big' metal between you and the disturbance. For example, a large object such as a car. (Metal). But if you are doing gardening, a spade between the house and action going on. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, In my opinion, No, it is not very accurate to mention that the pyramid shape are considered very yin just because there are instances of the huge pyramids " which are home of the dead ". There are a few points here:- 1. What you are mentioning is solely on the pyramids e.g. in Egypt for the `dead'. Here, it is not necessarily true since each pyramid is made of huge blocks of stones or earth. This is considered Yang. 2. We cannot relate the `dead' with the pyramid shape. In Feng Shui, symbolism is important and as most users are aware, the pyramid shape is considered of the Fire Element i.e. pointed object. It is advantages for a builder to construct a building after …

Hi, Please read below:- This is a very good question:- Whether a tragic event would happen or not, depends very much on how bad the situation is. You see how tragic events happens is when there is a compounded series of sha qi which is working against a person. Say for example, in his Pillars if he is destined that during a certain year, events in the environment does not favour him. In addition, his house has an inauspicious star which flies into the sector. Which again does not favour him. Also, maybe there are some shapes and form influences which also bring in additional sha qi. If say under this situation, a bad event is bound to happen. Unless of course, the pe…

Hi, Please read below:- Our advice to all users is to be careful of such general tips. Although the theory used to derive this is based on Flying Star for 1999. However, without flying star of the birth chart of the house, this is as good as a static cures. As good as the static Eight Association without any personalisation. You would be better off not doing anything. If you take this as correct, this means that everyone should hang a wind chime in the south? What if the stars in that sector of the house actually destroys the inauspicious 5 already? We have seen many times when users unknowingly put wind chimes because of such general tips, they end up with more pro…

Hi, In order for a good audit for accessing an excellent house, the house should not only suit a person, it has to have good stars from the flying star, and a good exterior shape and form. Which in most cases is very difficult, which is why no matter how good a house, there is still bound to be some slightly not so good. There is where you have to apply a little cure or enhancement to remove that influences. The Main door, because your house can face another direction, but your main door is located in another location. Also when you perform an audit based on the house you are performing an audit for the entire building. Especially if this is an apartment or bui…
