Dear Bill, 1. As mentioned earlier, Feng Shui and Pillars of Destiny (overall) is about trying to increase one's Luck. 2. Under Feng Shui, there are several `compartments': 2.1 Shapes and Form 2.2 Compass School (Flying Star / Eight House) 3. Rather than going into a `vicious cycle', usually a holistic approach is needed under Feng Shui. 4. Here, instead of just merely looking at whether we have `tried' to increase or improve on a sector, one has to look that the whole house in total. 5. Usually, full audits are done to access the whole house. This is done for three reasons:- 5.1 To neutralise Sha Qi or poison arrows `aimed' at the house. And improve or enhance beneifi…

Dear November, Based strictly on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, it is a much better idea to have the screen partition at location marked `A' instead of at present location. This is to make the living room and dining room into a more rectangular shaped layout. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil, Thank you for answering my previous questions posted. My questions are: 1) I live in a bungalow and my bedrooms are at the front of the house which is towards a busy road. As I assume this is front facing how can I activate mountain stars for health when I have windows and it is front facing (yang)? Does this mean our health will suffer? 2) This therefore leaves me with kitchen/living room at the back which I assume I cannot activate water stars as at the back mountain stars need activating. Will we lose our wealth/fortune? Thank you

Dear Rose, Please read below:- So long as the backing of the Mountain Star is a solid wall, it is ok. You cannot activate the Mountain Star if there is a windows below or very near the wall which you are trying to put the obtain with mass. Nope. So long as there is a wall, because what that wall itself is like a mountain. Solid foundation. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, 1. Normally, a water position is suppose to be on `ground' level and not suppose to be on a table. 2. Usually, one places a water position in a house for a purpose e.g. a small koi pond with water pumps where the fish swims around it. In Feng Shui, this is suppose to create Qi. 3. Nowadays with modern fountains, especially if they are placed on the table no longer can be considered activating the water star i.e. under Para 1, it is suppose to be activated at ground level. 4. The next question one asks is what is the pupose of buying a water fountain? If you want to "beautify" the house, than you would have to turn it on as once it is turned off, it becomes a po…

Dear Cecil I read that activating the wealth stars # 7 , 8 and 9 with moving water is good. So I installed a small waterfall in my 3 7 (base) 9 sector in the patio and since then- only 2 days later. have become sick with stomach problems. Is this why ? The sector is NW with yearly star 2. I am weak earth element. Should I instead activate my 488 sector with yearly star 3. I did not know that water could affect you if it was outside the house. Thanks in advance for your reply. Jojo

Firstly, I like to establish that the NW and South you are referring to is not on the same topic as the Grand Duke. 2. What Lillian Too is referring is based on the Flying Star Theory. 3. The period referred to is this Lunar year and it starts from 16 February 1999 to 4 February 2000 (and not at the end of 31 December 1999). 4. What she has done was to draw a Flying Star Chart for the Year 1999 (Year of the Rabbit). This is what the Flying Star Chart she is referring to:- North = Star 6, A…

Dear Cecil, Thank you your reply again, but if you read my question again, it consider placing the door in sector of the house rather tilting the door direction. Thanks Alan

Dear Yang Ming, 1. For HDB apartments, it is relatively quite easy because majority of the apartments were built either under Period 6 or (today) Period 7. 2. If the apartment you are reviewing is built anytime between 1984 to 2003, then it does not matter if it was built in 2001 and completed in 2002 (this year). Therefore, most or all new HDB apartments should be considered as under Period 7. For older apartments built before Period 7 ie. 1983 or below, do check if there were any major renovations done between 1984 to-date. If so, the apartment would most likely be a Period 7 unit. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chris, Please read below:- Please note that for flying star there is such difference between:- - 20-year flying star chart - yearly flying star chart - monthly flying star chart - daily flying star chart - & etc. Yes, no doubt that when you move from one period to the next range the flying star will change. i.e. if a building is built in period 7 (1984-2003) it will have a period 7 (20-year flying star chart). i.e. if a building is built in period 8 (2004-2023) it will have a period 8 (20-year flying star chart). However, the 20-year chart will not change unless you perform a major renovation. This means that if you have a house in period 6 and there has be…

Dear Regina, In a recent sicence world documentary, it was found that a University of London study found that: 1. Patients trying to recover from a dental surgery or pulling of the teeth often have a swelling on their cheek. 2. In the University of London study, a group was given pacebo ("sugar coated pill") and someone attended to the patient with an ultrasonic machine (turned off) but this attendant goes thru the motion of "rubbing" this "high-tech" equipment on the person's cheek. 3. Based on the documentary, nearly 60 percent of this respondent (patients) fair better than anyone else who were not given such a "treatment" and drug. 4. One conclusion was that if on…

Dear Steven, 1. Shapes and Form is usually the most common method in analysing a plot of land: 1.1 Using the four symbolic animals concept i.e. of clear space at the front and solid support behind. 1.2 Yin and Yang concept 1.3 The Five elements concept such as the surrounding buildings. Are they generally e.g. earth element? fire element? etc... 2. For a plot of land, it is analysed usually with a built up area. 3. This is because under the Flying Star Feng Shui there are 24 directions or (mountains) or compass degrees per 24 sector at 15 degree increments. 4. For a Flying Star Chart, it is essential that the direction of the main entrance door is taken. Without this fun…

Dear Darius, If you are taking the reading of the building, then, the audit is meant for the entire building. And your house is just a mere (specific) sector or `grid'. If you need confirmation to confirm the centrepoint or to confirm the layout, feel free to either:- 1. create a sketch in graphic file in any of the popular format i.e. .jpg, .bmp, .gif and upload to this forum. alternatively, simply fax it to:- 065-6482570 I will be more than happy to assist you to confirm your layout / main door direction. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Now my home is a due heading to all main direcions. My stone Budda in the meditation posture in a flower garden that is facing the Grand Duke head on and a metal Budda in the North end of my home facing inwards away from the North in the house. How would this affect me and my home? I assume that the Grand Duke would have to give respect to Budda. Oh and I have a golden toy horse placed above my south end window of my bedroom. I always keep my blind closed in that direction anyway. It's a privacy thing. :) I would greatly appreciate your opinion on this. Thanks.

Dear Chris, It is for this case that the House Number module was developed by Feng Shui masters to tackle modern problems relating to flats. The reason is because one should not change the house direction whether sitting or facing. Essentially, the whole block face is facing that particular direction. That is why, if the Flying Star of a particular layout in a flat or apartment is good or bad, it does not mean that everyone of the same block will share the same luck. Because different house numbering will determine the luck of the unit based on Flying Star house numbering. In addition, whether it is good or bad depends on the Pillars (true element and strength) of an ind…

Hi, In my opinion, No, it is not very accurate to mention that the pyramid shape are considered very yin just because there are instances of the huge pyramids " which are home of the dead ". There are a few points here:- 1. What you are mentioning is solely on the pyramids e.g. in Egypt for the `dead'. Here, it is not necessarily true since each pyramid is made of huge blocks of stones or earth. This is considered Yang. 2. We cannot relate the `dead' with the pyramid shape. In Feng Shui, symbolism is important and as most users are aware, the pyramid shape is considered of the Fire Element i.e. pointed object. It is advantages for a builder to construct a building after …

Dear Sophia, Quote: Sophia Chia wrote: The whole estate is up grading lift landing. Does that mean the estate change to period 8. I had read somewhere in your forumif the lift is up grading the house will change to period 8.Sometime 2005 we had our whole house paint, open house during Chinese New Year and performed lion dance. Does that mean it is still period 8 house. Usually, if the whole building can be "white-washed" the better inclusive of the lift upgrading. Dear Sarah, 1. In the Far East (Asia), rattan or bamboo furniture were particularly popular in the 1970's. Especially with the cheap labour and raw materials. All that is needed is to sew cushions and presto! Many homes have them. 2. In recent years especially in 1990's till today, because labour costs had risen, many have opted for other various combinations of steel/wood ; wood / cushions etc.. as they can be manufactured cheaply. The slightly more expensive go for half-cow leather etc... 3. In my opinion, I do not think so that your bamboo furniture can be considered as dead wood. 4. The only basis of calling `dead wood' is if one keeps too many `antique' furniture. Th…
