Dear Master Cecil, Thank you for your very quick response, after my initial posting I left it for some time before having another look at the environment with fresh eyes. On returning I realised I'd placed some symbols of wealth such as money toad and a scroll of 9 goldfish which I must have done without thinking. Both of them appear to blend rather nicely with the fire items because of their colours and it actually feels ok. So I think I have addressed my issue whilst taking into account the bad stars but thank you for your link it does make alot of sense. Kindest Regards

As there are two sides of the argument ie. some FS Masters say that the painting of the ceciling would change the Period of the home/office, from my personal work, like yourself find that most of the time, the house still does not change the period or move to a new period. So far, only in one instance did I come across the shift to the new period. In the best of my opinion, for now, I believe that we should still make two charts one for the house before and the new period and compare both charts to see if it `matches' the existing house. Yes, I have generate the flying chart, I notice that there bad stars in red and black, noticing that if there are 5 or 3, 4 or 9, in that particular sectors, e.g. east or se, should we be using the flat natal chart stars or the yearly/monthly stars to effect a cure? For 3 & 5 stars, we can counter with metal, star 4 is big wood, so metal cures will also be effective? Working towards a better feng shui environment.

Dear Cecil, I have a similar problem regarding main entrance. We frequently use our garage door to get in and out of our split entry home. I don't know how to measure/determine direction of my main door as this garage door is downstairs. My other "entrance door" used more in the summer and to receive guests is upstairs with the rest of the living quarters (downstairs only has a workroom, washer dryer room and a 2 car garage).
