Dear Jack, Please see below:- Priority should go to using the Yearly Star report. Thus from to 5 Feb 2000 to 23 Jan 2001, use METAL to destroy and control WOOD. Since, the yearly chart is always available, one should use this instead of the 20 year Flying Chart. From 24 Jan 2001 to 11 Feb 2002, try to check the Yearly chart next year and use this instead of the 20 year Flying Chart. Use the Yearly chart solution i.e. Wood. Do let me know if you need any further advise. Many Thanks for making it easy for me to understand your situation and taking the time to draft your mail:) Regards, Cecil

It is interesting that 8 to 10 years ago, whenever someone wants to find out Chinese "mystic" practises, will most of the time search the internet for "astrology" or "Chinese zodiac" signs. It was rare at that time for a search of : Feng Shui or the dialect term of "Fung sway" etc... Nowadays, many can seem to correctly search for "Feng Shui". This is good because: Chinese astrology in my opinion may lead to "auto suggestion" and even "self-fullfilling prophecy!". In the past, I cannot really see the correlation between a geomancer siting on the road side, "dictating" some one else's future. If the geomancer can "predict" someone else future, why can't he predict hi…

Dear Bill, Any additions e.g. installing French windows would not change the birth date. Yes, Feng Shui is very symbolic and painting the entire ceiling would suggest that the birthdate will change. This technique is used by an expert Feng Shui practioner. A "novice" FS practioner may likely ask you to literally remove the entire roof and put it back. Another example of Feng Shui is Sha. One principle is that if you cannot see it, it no longer can harm the household. For example if one can see a pointed corner of another house aimed at your window, if you install a blind or use a thick curtain and cannot see it, the Sha no longer becomes a threat. Warmest Regards, Cecil -…

Feng Shui is also about common sense. Often, there is no perfection in Feng Shui. Most of the concepts should be considered as "NICE-to" and not a "MUST-have" Reference: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=26329&new=

Hi Joel, Joel Tee wrote: so i assume that putting a windchime ,aquarium and a crystal here will form a good combination? whats do u think. thanks very much! Aquarium should be ok with th eright number of fish and/or colour choice of fishes it will already be able to contain Metal. Alternatively, put in like 6/8 coins into the aquarium which represent metal and luck also possible. The best kind of aquarium is one which contain a little of each five element. As for windchime, I would avoid it. As this sometimes if placed wrongly can be irritating and attract unwanted spirits.Crystals should be fine. Hope that helps. Dear Aaron, Aaron Ng wrote: I noticed that one of your Earth Luck articles says that a common leak is due to the toilet being near the centre of the flat. This is a rather common now-a-days unfortunately. However, what you should also consider is that this is just one of the flaws available. A house is likely to have some flaws as it is almost difficult to find one without a single flaw (even if you build it yourself). So as long as:- 1. The toilet is not directly at the center point, it should still be ok.If this is the case, try to keep the toilet seat cover and toilet door closed when not in use. Also, another way is try to trap the wealth before it leaks buy hangi…

Thanks for your advise. Based on your advise on "Under Shapes and Forms FengShui", west side is "white tiger". Appreciate if you can advise what is best to deploy at that west sector? Cheers

Further to what I mentioned earlier, it is acceptable for some components of a wind chime e.g. it's support "roof" and the clanger to be made of wood. The rationle is simple. Under the Destructive cycle - ref: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm One will notice that metal -> destroys -> wood. Thus, even with relatively some wood pieces on the wind chime, the 6 rod e.g. hollow aluminium wind chime - with its constant clinging has no problems `destroying' wood element. In addition, wood with aluminum is a nice pleasing piece to look at. Warmest Regards, Cecil PS. *JOKE* Please note that I am not swaying anyone from using any type of wind chime.…

Dear Cecil, The 3 interactive stars for this Northwest sector are 2(w) vs 3(m), base 8. Most of the Northwest sector is the bathroom area. But a small part of it is my office. So do you think I need to hang the 6 coins for that small NorthWest part of my office? Thanks a lot. Hoa

Now my home is a due heading to all main direcions. My stone Budda in the meditation posture in a flower garden that is facing the Grand Duke head on and a metal Budda in the North end of my home facing inwards away from the North in the house. How would this affect me and my home? I assume that the Grand Duke would have to give respect to Budda. Oh and I have a golden toy horse placed above my south end window of my bedroom. I always keep my blind closed in that direction anyway. It's a privacy thing. :) I would greatly appreciate your opinion on this. Thanks.

1. Usually, the "rule of thumb" is a home + yang qi or with human activity. 2. Thus, it makes some sense that although the home was constructed under Period 7, however, human activity = yang qi is only present after we have moved-in. 3. Nevertheless, if one were to apply Flying Star chart to such a home; never never assume that the home is a Period 7 or 8 totally. Thus, if one were to do such an analysis, best to draw two flying star charts for the home. In many instances, as the years go by, a competent practitioner (or with commonsense anyone) can compare both charts to see which is more "accurate".

Dear Vida, Traditionally, many Chinese homes or homes built in Singapore may consider "spilt-levels". The "spilt-levels" is very common for many homes and apartments built in the 1970's. Here, the idea is that the living room CAN be lower than the dining room. Not the other way around. Usually, this "spilt" is only between the living and dining. And other dining is suppose to be at the "back" area of the home. The kitchen and yard should also be if possible the same level or "slightly" higher than the kitchen is OK. Many Feng Shui practitioners do not like the idea of the living room higher than the dining. And conversely, the dining higher than the back yard / kitchen…

Dear Vivian, Apologise for the late reply. Was checking the forum for any unanswered mails and this message was found. In fact, the issue is not solely about specific numbers; rather, it pertains to the inter-relationships among the elements and the strengths of each star in relation to one another. This process is quite intricate when determining the relationships between two stars and becomes even more complicated when analyzing three stars. Nevertheless, the analysis does not typically conclude there, as it is necessary to cross-reference this information with yearly data and subsequently with monthly data, culminating in a five-star analysis. For a two-…

1. Sorry to hear about your situation. 2. Frankly, this changing of period is a 20 year affair. And even for most Feng Shui practitioners even if they start doing Feng Shui at the age of 18 years old; most likely they may only encounter such a change 3 times. (Lack experience in this area. In law, this is like "hear-say evidence" which cannot be admitted or counted type of thing). 3. Thus what I like to imply is that many practitioners even today, cannot agree with the definition of change of period. Even if there is some consensus, what we want is to see results if any and not talk or crossing fingers. You stay there, we (geomancers) don't. 4. The very conservative schoo…

Dear All, 1. Using the productive cycle template: METAL - thus we can make the above formula more meaningful by adding the words good or bad into the above equation:- EXCELLENT #9 (strong fire) - Beingcurrently a weak metal, it cannot really efficiently draw out or exhaust strong earth #5. In addition, two other elements are left untouched! Water and Wood. 6. Water element can be introduced to this sector: fortwo reasons:- 6.1USINGWATER IN THIS SECTOR(WHY IS WATER SUITABLE IN THIS SECTOR) w…

Not only it is bad to renovate at EAST sector this year:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=28295&new= But also, homes facing east direction; has a double wammy in that the Tai Sui (Grand Duke) and the nasty Five Yellow #5 is at the facing direction E2.

Dear Bill, 1. As mentioned earlier, Feng Shui and Pillars of Destiny (overall) is about trying to increase one's Luck. 2. Under Feng Shui, there are several `compartments': 2.1 Shapes and Form 2.2 Compass School (Flying Star / Eight House) 3. Rather than going into a `vicious cycle', usually a holistic approach is needed under Feng Shui. 4. Here, instead of just merely looking at whether we have `tried' to increase or improve on a sector, one has to look that the whole house in total. 5. Usually, full audits are done to access the whole house. This is done for three reasons:- 5.1 To neutralise Sha Qi or poison arrows `aimed' at the house. And improve or enhance beneifi…
