Dear Master Cecil, Thank you for your very quick response, after my initial posting I left it for some time before having another look at the environment with fresh eyes. On returning I realised I'd placed some symbols of wealth such as money toad and a scroll of 9 goldfish which I must have done without thinking. Both of them appear to blend rather nicely with the fire items because of their colours and it actually feels ok. So I think I have addressed my issue whilst taking into account the bad stars but thank you for your link it does make alot of sense. Kindest Regards

Hi, I joined your forum only recently. I live in a north facing house. Read your warning on undertaking renovations in the East this year. And true enough it has been a very tough year for the family. I thought to share this with you. Regards

Not only it is bad to renovate at EAST sector this year:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=28295&new= But also, homes facing east direction; has a double wammy in that the Tai Sui (Grand Duke) and the nasty Five Yellow #5 is at the facing direction E2.

We know, everyone is so eager to jump in and practise Feng Shui. In particular, you must likely have generated a Flying star chart from somewhere. Honestly, for any new thing or subject.. you really have to "study" and understand them. Frankly, it is so easy to post a few lines to text.. but this Flying star thing, or knowledge does not and cannot drop down from the sky. If you intend to DIY, you really need to go learn it. or read up about it.. and this may take time. Reading is one thing, but understanding and applying it... is really another. Please note that this forum is only a catalyst and not a we do it for you nor spoon feeding .... Just imagine.. for a baby, h…

In my opinion; such adjectives could be used for such a situation: 1. "At the mercy" 2. "No more buffer" 3. "Borderline case" or "Scraped through" 4. "Dicy" 5. This one more positive: "Optimistically hopeful" 5.1 Why? Due to time dimensions; Month, Day, Hour, Minute.. and where additional "FRIENDS" such as stars #5, #2 and #9 flies into that sector... then how to honestly call it "still auspicious?"... 5.2 Sometimes... one could even subsitute: "still auspicious" to "on the fringe of turning bad"

These are some of the considerations: 1. Yes, most Geomancers would have to agree that the refigeration is considered as the metal element. The rationale is that it is always "closed" most of the time. And in such a state; it is usually a boxed up "metallic" item. So far, no one has yet to leave the fridge door open all the time unless .... 2. Nowadays, there are designer fridge that uses tempered glass. In theory, glass especially tempered glass = metal element. 3. Thus, the bigger the fridge e.g. two huge doors; considered more the metal element especially in the kitchen. 4. Based on logic your statement is acceptable.

1. Frankly, you have to ask yourself: How many bedrooms have you or have left? That you can accomodate your kid? 2. Or if you have a study and could change or swop the study to this room. 3. To minimize any issues; some prevention; try to avoid warm white lights in the bedroom and if possible avoid yellow curtains or bedsheets. 4. However, some ask: If I can't use bright yellow, then how? 4.1 So long as e.g. the bedsheet has all the primary colours: GREEN, BLUE (or BLACK), RED and YELLOW; 4.2 then if all these elements are present then just avoid the ceiling lights or lights within that bedroom in "warm white". 4.3 Thus use cool day lights in that room. The above is ju…

Most likely since you mentioned that your main door will be closed most of the time; then for purposes of calculating Flying Star(s); best to use the balcony facing direction, instead. (Where it is suppose to have the most yang qi (be it light and wind coming into the unit vs the main door)

Thanks for your advise. Based on your advise on "Under Shapes and Forms FengShui", west side is "white tiger". Appreciate if you can advise what is best to deploy at that west sector? Cheers

These are some of the considerations: 1. Assuming most of us have a working life-span of 40 to 50 years; most of us only get to see or experience an actual change of qi 2 or the most 3 times of such an occurrence in our life. (Flying star qi changes every 20 years). 1.1. Thus, frankly, best to take a pinch of salt if anyone in the entire Feng Shui world or internet can be that accurate in saying that if one follows such and such a procedure; the success rate if high! 1.2. In fact, as mentioned under Para 1; even amongst Geomancers; it is considered like all talk or theoritical / symbolic how to change to a new period qi. 2. Thus, to be honest; many of us geomancers can't …

1. Based on your most recent description; there don't seem to be any threat from the tall building (or condo). 2. Frankly, the concept of "You stay there; we don't" or "Someone stays there; we don't applies!" 2.1. Thus, please put on the "thinking cap" or alternatively apply Commonsense (or cow-sense) Fung Sway: "Whyinthe hell do we want to place an irritating piece of wind chime in our bedroom?".Frankly, no offense; it simply makes no sense; at all. 2.2. On the contrary; from a Feng Shui point of view; look-here:`a wind chime' is not the only mother of all Feng Shui tools: there can be sucha thing as a silent objectsuch as those conVEX mirror sort of thing. But, please, …

i) Can I tweak the main door to face North East which is located in North, so that the main door direction is favorable to me?>> I was staying in a single storey link-house which built in year 2005, where the main door is located at North 2 and also facing North. As I was a West group Kua 7, where main door facing North is not favorable, according to Ba Zhai i) Can I tweak the main door to face North East which is located in North, so that the main door direction is favorable to me? ii) Do I still enjoy the Flying Star double 8 in my North 2 facing house, should my main door located in North has been alter to face North East? Thank you in advance for yo…

These are some considerations:- 1. Your posting of this thread into "Earth Luck: Flying Star (Xuan Kong)" Feng Shui conference. 2. Please note that Flying Star (Xuan Kong) is one of the two Compass School of Feng Shui model / concept. 3. The other Compass School Feng Shui is the Eight House or East/West Group Feng Shui. 4. Given the above "clue" what has lot number got to do with the above? None! 5. In addition:Flying Star (Xuan Kong) Feng Shui can be sub-divided further into TWO models/concepts:- 5.1. Horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui 5.1.1. This is the usual 20 Year Flying Star Chart. And this is the most used of the Xuan Kong concept. 5.2. Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui…

Further to what I had mentioned:- 1. Most consensus (amongst) geomancers is to locate the most "yang" (bright) qi area of the home. Where e.g. it could be the most openings be it the windows or balcony doors. 2. For high floors (storeys);IN GENERAL themost likely facing direction is the "stack"where the unit (especially the living room balcony faces); Especially if one does not often open the main entrance door. And in many instances; many condos- during daylight withoutthe aid of lighting is often quite "dim". 3. Therefore, it does not matter if you have a penthouse or not. Just imagine; a landed property. I am sure, (else my head gets the chopping); there are defiinite…

Further to what I had mentioned; the key thing is (within one's control) AVOID: any disturbance at East is the safest bet to ride over the "EAST sector during 2011". Thus norenovations: including drilling, hacking ofwalls andre-painting at East.
